The Lilim stood in front of the door, idle, as people went on to comment as to why or how such a piece had found her way into Ritsu’s office. Definitely she was no one already known, but the possibility of it being a Cruxi spy or an intruder was so ludicrous it had been seldom considered. Stella looked left and right, then at the centre.

“Location reached. Ritsu Kaname, Lieutenant. Unit 456 has been delivered for a new assignment. Confidential information encoded. May this unit proceed to deliver and debrief?”

“Come in,” Ritsu responded through the door. As the Lilim entered, she saw the lieutenant’s office: a somewhat imposing place with shelves of documents and some Ii d of floor-mounted terminal for administration work, as well as the Galactic Federation symbol on the back wall. The lieutenant herself looked at her from across the room, sitting at her desk, with a look of confusion. She stood up promptly, her hands leaning on her desk.
“Wait…Are you the Steel Raven unit Lorenzo had enlisted for the project? But…How? You missed the shuttle you were scheduled to board, and there are no other ways for pilots to enter Solaire. Explain how you arrived here, Cadet.”

“Unit 456 is classified as high grade electronics component, Framewerk add on. Unit 456 was shipped under priority shielded package alongside unit Mother Goose. Unit 456 then proceeded to deploy and seek Ritsu Kaname, Liutenant.” She paused. “Unit 456 has also intervened in an emergency request from cadet Serah with regards to Griff, status unknown. Collateral material damage was unavoidable. Data server steel door hinges destroyed. Punishment of unknown Griff suspended due to proximity of critical components. Cadet Serah provided navigation data afterwards. Unit 456 suggests emergency adoption of cadet Serah.” The Lilim droned, without even blinking.

Ritsu blinked, and adjusted her glasses before sitting down, seemingly taken aback by the explanation. “I see…I didn’t realize we had such a major oversight in our security. I will take action to rectify this. Thank you for your…unofficial security testing,” she added. She then raised an eyebrow as Stella proceeded to request an adoption of a pilot in the squad.
“Emergency…adoption? Could you explain the reason for this request?” She asked with her arms resting on the desk and her hands clasped together.

“Cadet Serah was terrified of Griff individual. No next kin unknown. This unit programming can deal with childcare from ages 0 to -zzz- 80.” Stella added as she blinked ever so slightly.

Ritsu nodded, though she didn’t seem fully convinced. “I see. Cadet Gene is considered an adult by Galactic law, so she would need to consent to the adoption. I will arrange a meeting with the two of you to discuss this matter further.” She typed away on a holographic keyboard projected from her desktop computer while looking at a hologram of some kind of program, and then closed it.
“I sent the key related to your shift to the Framewerk squad directly to your address. You should now be able to access relevant project data such as maps, schedules, guides and so on from the Solaire cloud. Note that some data is classified, and unavailable to Cadets by order of Executive Officer Lorenzo. Are there any questions?”

Stella tilted her head, staring intently at Ritsu. Then her head reached and touched Ritsu’s crown, patting it gently. “You are doing a good job. You are a responsible girl, aren’t you? That’s great. Would you like something to eat?”

Ritsu opened her mouth with a sigh, as if about to object, when she blinked and remembered something.
“Actually…” She said as she put a hand to her chin, thinking. “Cadet Mema-Ka requested to eat dinner with me. Since you’re offering to help, could you help cook for us?” Having worked with Lilims before, Ritsu knew that fulfilling their main directive was a source of pride and joy for the sentient androids. And she had read from the report that Stella’s main directive as a nanny extended to all she perceived as children to take care of, including personnel she worked with. She was curious to see if that was the truth.

Stella stood still for a moment.”Ritsu has a friend! That is great! Unit 456 can provide any kind of festive meal rich in iron and protein. Would you like festive hats too?” She paused. “Can we extend invitation to Cadet Serah Gene?”

Ritsu shook her head. “Thank you for the offer, but this dinner doesn’t need hats. Also, this would be only for the two of us. However, I have thought about scheduling a separate meeting with Cadet Gene, as I would like to talk with her as well. That could also be held over dinner, I suppose.”

“Cadet Serah Gene is defined as a cutie patootie subtype of human and needs to have more friends.” Stella replied without blinking.”Very well, Ritsu Kaname, Lieutenant. Unit 456 will make dinner for you and your friend. Unit 456 shall procure the ingredients as soon as she is debriefed.”

Ritsu nodded, a kind smile on her. “Thank you, Cadet Stella. The dinner will be held at the Green Wing park. I will send you a message once I confirm the time for it to take place. Now then, do remember to also participate in the squad’s scheduled activities, as they take a higher priority. That is all. Dismissed,” she ended her words with a smiling salute.

“Appointment schedule registered.” Stella said, before doing a salute and turned sharply onto her heels, closing the door carefully as she left.

...

Ritsu leaned her head against her hand, the elbow resting on the desk. "I forgot to bring up the destroyed door..."

Gamer

Some time later...

Elora had come to the recreation room, or Rec room for short, to distract herself with one of her favorite hobbies: games. Fortunately for her, the entertainment facilities did include a hologame console, the Holocube. She activated it, sat down on the couch, and began playing the hottest new hologame, Definitive Daydream 53: a long running series of role-playing games. The setting this time was a city where young preteens formed contracts with magical cute critters and became Mahou, magic weapon-wielding heroes and heroines.

The shy pilot was fighting a boss battle against a dark Mahou girl with a mirror theme outside a gothic mansion in a dark dimension when she was startled by the door opening, causing her to get a game over. “Ah! Wh-Who’s there?” She asked, not recognizing Zel-Ghin and Mema-Ka.

Zel-Ghin's eyes immediately darted to Elora as he stepped into the room, his facial expression being one of surprise on hearing a voice, he took a few moments to look right into her eyes then to her face, her lips, then further down. His gaze then went back up to her face. He gave out a whistle in a manner that could only mean 'wow!'. 'A mission worthy to play. Highscore incoming.' He thought to himself.

"Heh. Caught you in a private moment?" Zel-ghin smirks gradually became a smile, then he tilted his head slightly. "Just kidding. The name's Zel-Ghin. Who might you be then, little kittycat?" The teal-green haired twin raised one of his hands into a lazy salute, the other took out a lollipop from his pocket, offering it to Elora "Sweet stuff can only get sweeter by adding more sugar." He gave a very obvious wink as he walked around to make his way to the couch, quickly sitting down in it and moving closer to Elora. "So... you like playing games? I like playing too." He said in a cheeky manner and bit his underlip slightly.

Mema-Ka pressed his boots together by the door. "Mema-Ka Ezqess Degadraz. Pilot of the framewerk Raptor. Zel-Ghin here is my twin brother and is a fellow pilot. I am glad that he has finally found a place to his liking and judging by his facial expression... the company to match." The older twin held his hand up in a proper salute, offering Elora a soft smile.

"Zel-Ghin, try to not scare off the young lady with your enthusiasm. Do forgive my brother, he has a tendency to show his emotions very openly and with little regard to whom may be present." Mema-Ka explained, and gradually lowered his salute and assumed a more laidback stance.

"Don't you have a date, brother? The lady with the borderline E's. Don't dally. Give me a break and let me have some fun too." Zel-Ghin closed his eyes momentarily and held up both his hands as he shrugged, tossing an amused smile to Elora. "Don't worry. I don't bite~." His corner tooth seemed to shimmer as he gave a sly smile to her.

Elora’s cheeks quickly gained a tomato-like complexion as the shorter twin began flirting with her. Fortunately, it seemed his brother had enough sense to warn him about being too forward, and she quickly stood up to return the salute out of respect, having missed the clue about who his date was.
“I-I’m Elora Liu’un, the pilot of Logic Diver. I think I read about your profiles in the documents,” she said as she sat down, one hand holding the game console while the other nervously held her knee. “I-Is it true your Framewerks have the Kattai system? I’ve only heard about its existence, but never seen it before. Can they really c-combine?” She asked.

Mema-Ka nodded his head politely to Elora. "Good to make your acquaintance, Elora. Logic Driver? Ahh.. the oval shaped one, yes? I am certain we shall have more time to bond with one another after the upcoming training session. As for the Kattai…" Mema-Ka started but his younger twin quickly interjected to answer in his stead.

"Oh yeah that's right! They can be made to fit together. The closer the bond the pilots have the more likely it will work I believe... I will show you how that works later~ Elora hm? Short but pleasant on the tongue… ever done any Kattai yourself?" Zel-Ghin licked his lip a bit, then tossed a glance to the screen and the game, still holding out the lollipop for Elora. "What kind of games do you like?" Zel-Ghin asked, motioning to Elora to sit down next to him, his arm held out at the back of the couch.

"I think my brother can answer your questions as well as I could. I wish you two a good day. Zel-Ghin. Gadra zentra. Miss Elora." Mema-Ka placed his hand on his chest, right at where his heart would be located, then gave a soft bowing motion as he excused himself from the room, the door closing behind him.

Elora shook her head as she was asked about the Kattai system, clearly not understanding the innuendo that was hinted at.
“No, like I said, I-I’ve never seen it myself. It’s apparently very rare among Framewerks, since it requires high levels of synchronic compatibility to function properly and perform the Kattai fusion. Otherwise it just attaches the Framewerk on the other like a powerup.”

She gave a little shy wave as Mema-Ka left, and then looked over at the lollipop. She puffed up her cheeks, as if in thought. “Uh…thanks,” she shyly spoke, and then took the lollipop, placing it on the couch next to her.

She once again focused on her game as the situation turned a bit too awkward, though she did answer: “I l-like all kinds of games: RPGs, adventure games, visual novels, action games…but not that interested in sports games.” She glanced over at Zel-Ghin again after yet another game over: she seemed to be getting worse as time went on, dying faster to the boss. “How about you…uh… Zelgin?”

Zel-Ghin smiled the more Elora spoke. She was definitely his type.

"Oh it's rare alright, like a shiny glowing thing in the monster collector games. But there's a secret path~ Not like a cheat code or anything… but a way to test and train your potential for the system." Zel-Ghin explained in a softer tone of voice, almost conspiratorially. Roleplaying… can be fun… what role do you like the best hm? If you are into visual novels.. then perhaps you like those about the heroine dating a mysterious assassin or magician. Heh.. life is an adventure game with alot of action if you know where to look for it. Better not blink or you'll miss out on it, Elora kittycat." He said and chuckled a bit, moving a bit closer to her on the sofa. "Before I show you what games I like. I will tell you a method to test your potential for kattai… you see it's like... kissing. Improve on your technique… and then you will find a rhythm with the other person. Match that… and then you are one step closer to learning that system. Ever tried kissing? Want to try it~?" He said in a teasing soft tone and leaned in a bit. "Mmm. As for what games I like." He took out five games from his pocket in miniature discs.

One was a beach volleyball fighting game with an all female cast, the second were a kissing simulator, the third was labeled "Break the Paladin", the fourth were a virtual novel about a guy having a harem with cute mecha pilot women clad in bikinis and the last were labeled "You are the monster. Humanity under alien attack.".

"Now these are all great examples of a good time." Zel-Ghin smiled and handed them to Elora so she could take a closer look whether she liked to or not.

Elora leaned away from Zel-Ghin, looking visibly put off by the overtly friendly pilot. “Uh…I like the traditional roles. Hero on a quest, space ranger, and so on…” She visibly cringed at being called a kittycat, and had half a mind to just walk out of there at that moment when he started suggesting kissing as a form of training for Kattai.

However, he then brought up some unusual games, causing her to blink as the handheld was placed in her hands, and she saw them. While the other entries caused her face to scrunch up in disgust, the last game did pique her attention…If only because of controversy.
“Monster Alien Mayhem…How do you have this? This game is banned by the Galactic Federation Entertainment Bureau.”

"Traditional roles~? Hmmm… Space ranger? Didn't take you for one who wanted to squeeze the trigger that much. Hah hah hah. Ahh.. but you are a very elusive one avoiding my questions…" Zel-Ghin said in a teasing tone, holding up a finger and wiggling it as if to say 'Ah ah ah'.

"Tell you what, I'll tell you how I got that game if you answer my question~ Ever kissed before? Fair trade no?" He gave an amused smirk. "That game is quite special to me." He added finally, a shimmer in his eye as he waited for Elora's reply.

Elora turned her face away, and looked down. “N-No…” She finally replied. “None of the other guys at the academy ever paid attention to me, which was just as well, I suppose…They probably would have bullied me if they did…Just like what you are doing,” she finally said, having decided to make her feelings known.

Zel-Ghin's facial expression changed on hearing her answer. He felt strange for a moment. As if she were somehow like himself and his brother. Outcasts in a world that felt foreign. The teal-green haired young man's teasing tone faded and then he reached out with both his hands to try and gently place a hand on each side of her face, trying to look directly into her eyes. "You are beautiful. Don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise. Elora. I am not bullying you. I like what I see and hear." He gave a wink and then fully withdrew his hands.

"Now it's my turn. I was given this game by my mother… well… the only mother I know. You see. Me and my brother were not born into this world in the same manner a lot of others were. We were… made. No emotion involved. No love. Nothing but ambition of the ones which made us. In a way you could say we are artificial humans... Some might even want to call us fake. But what decides what is real and fake, how you feel or how others feel about you hm?" He picked up the game he had gotten from the scientist he only knew as mother. She had saved them from being found and who had likely been killed. He owed everything. Every passing breath and moment to her. As for what he owed the rest of humanity or what remained of it. No doubt they would get to know that in time.

"So... if I were to offer you a kiss, would you say no?" He tilted his head a bit playfully.

Elora mildly resisted as Zel-Ghin touched her, her hand slowly closing into a fist, ready to act if he made the wrong move. But instead, she noticed frailty in the formerly confident pilot’s expression, as he complimented her looks and denied the teasing. “Oh…” However, Elora wasn’t quite convinced yet, and remained still as he withdrew, as if knowing he was close to ruining the moment.

She listened carefully as Zel-Ghin told of his story, of being created in a laboratory alongside his brother, causing her to frown. “I…I didn’t know…” she admitted, looking sad. He made a genuine point about the feelings people had for each other despite the people themselves: those were real.

But so were her own feelings, and they spoke a truth she no longer could deny.
“...I’m sorry.” Elora stood up from the couch and walked towards the door. She turned one last time, her expression a mixture of pity, and dislike. “It must be hard to feel like you’re fake. I’m sorry for you…But I can’t agree to that. Goodbye.” And with that, she left the rec room.

"The elusive kittycat~" He said in a somewhat chirpy and teasing tone on seeing her leave, his eyes following her every movement, giving her one last wink and a soft smile. Then his head turned to the couch. She had forgotten the lollipop he had given her. He had not even gotten to ask if she wanted to play any of the games.

'Even if a game is forbidden… sometimes we just cannot help ourselves to play it to see how it ends. Ahh… you forgot the sweet I brought for you." He thought as he reached out for the lollipop on the couch, twirling it a bit before putting it back into his pocket. He would have to hand it to her later. Zel-Ghin proceeded to pick up his games and stuff them into his pockets.

He had not gotten to ask her where she was from and other things. But his priorities had been on claiming a kiss from that cutie. Her reactions to every one of his moves had shown him some of her personality however. This was a chase for certain and he wasn't about to give up too easily.
Sorry this took so long and worse, it ain't finished but I was trying to at least finish a character but I need opinions on it before I jump into the framewerk.

Remembering the last time years ago when I did this, I tried to do a combination of "Mai" and "Jake" but turned out mostly Mai or basically a serious soldier type I usually start off with. Hell, Gundam Wing Heero Yuy if you want specific knockoffs. Still, I did a unique thing too in it so I wanted some of you to see if this'll work or not:

Name: Jake Twilight (Real name unknown)
Callsign: Seven
Gender: Male
Appearance:

Stands 6'2". Weight unknown.
Pilot Type: Skilled
Age: 25

Background Potentials:
Awareness
Stealthy

Perks:
Athletic
Academic
Networking

Weakness:
Suicidal Behavior (Custom) - Despite being well trained, educated and having connections with other "Recon" divisions of the military as shown, it comes with a downside. Being born and raised in a battlefield all his life, death itself doesn't scare Jake at all. If anything, there are those that say he's just "looking for a place to get killed". While he won't follow an order to "shoot himself", he will follow an order that may have very little odds of success to none whatsoever or perhaps throw himself in front of a bullet if it means "protecting a mission objective" without any prep time. Similar to "Death or Glory" but with no upside, Jake suffers 'reduced chance to dodge equivalent to two levels of higher weight class until the start of your next turn' when near an objective or other pending circumstances...

Personality:
To say that Jake is your typical "stoic" soldier would be the best way to describe him. Rarely showing any sort of emotion, he talks when spoken to but has some quirks that make you think he's still human. When ordered to be "at ease" or simply to take down time, he can be seen either training, studying or perhaps things more normal like playing video games or other kinds of games to reading. His "muse is music" though it seems as he's seen never without some form of a headset.

Jake rarely goes out of his way to "mingle" or talk to anyone casually unless it has to do with a "mission" or duing a combat senario. Though because of his soldier attitude and talking in a monotone-like voice, most may find talking to him casually exausting or frustrating at times.

By the end of the day though, there are those that say Jake means well despite a dangerous flaw. He sadly was just forced to grow up far too quickly...

Background:
Not much is known of the early origins of the pilot known as Jake "Seven" Twilight. The name itself given to him by a scientist when he was drafted into his framewerk program.

Jake seemed like a "ghost" in today's society even all the way in the depths of space. Even when he eventually found his way into the military, blood testing and other forms of medical identification couldn't properly I.D. him. But they say that he was found as an infant among the corpses of other dead humans after a Cruxi attack and was found by unknown civilians. Afterwards, records and eyewitness accounts having him "bouncing" as he once put it from one space colony to another just trying to make ends meet. Never saying a word...never stating his mind or his desires.

There are many that say that Jake is your typical war victim and shows just how cruel the war was even back then.

However, what we do know is, despite his dry personality, he was considered one of their best and brightest but again, his lack of emotion seemed counter-productive to those training to be a framewerk pilot. Despite this, early "military" records show him at around age 18 him piloting what is known as "Subwerks" or framewerks not as advanced as the ones seen recently. Despite being old school mechas, Jake showed excellent skill in piloting such machinery despite the disadvantage of no "sync" system as seen in todays mechs.

Then, four years ago from the present time, he was transfer to a private framewerk division that simply went by the codename "The Numbers". Said to be a specialized unit, it was actually a division similar to what perhaps Lorenzo is doing now in the present time. However, there were stories of the group being a "black ops" team said to do the "dirty work" that other pilots wouldn't be able to handle. That included fighting and even killing targets that weren't Cruxi...

The leader was also an old man who simply went by the code name "Cauldron". With Jake, the team consisted of Seven pilots with Jake being the seventh, hence his callsign "Seven". Despite the stories around the group, it's said that Cauldron did care about pilot "quality" but had misgivings about other "methods" that were being used to fight the war with the Cruxi. While it isn't clear what he didn't agree on it was clear that there was friction brewing between his old group and the general military.

What Jake did during those four years with The Numbers is classified but it's said that Cauldron suffered health complications that prevented him from continuing leadership. However, due to Cauldron's misgivings with other methods of producing pilots, higher ranking military leaders were quick to disband the division. Perhaps seeing them as possible "threats" even.

What exactly happened to Cauldron and the six other pilots is either classified or unknown entirely but Jake was an exception due to his skills and experience. Thus he received a late transfer order to Lorenzo's division.

Missing People: Jake doesn't remember his past or his origins so his only missing people "possibly" seems to be the six other pilots of his old division but perhaps Cauldron himself is someone he actually cared about for a time....

The pilot is acceptable, though I recommend taking some care to portray the character considering his dark and lonely nature, and allow him chances to bond with other pilots.
@Ariamis I was tinkering at the last moment, did you catch those edits?

Yes, and those are acceptable.
Numero dos. Throwing stuff at the wall and see what sticks.

Accepted.
Lorenzo leaned back into his regular slouching posture when Arrish spoke up regarding the frail state of the squad, of the position of squad leader, and indirectly made a case for himself being appointed in the position. "Hmm..." He stroked his beard, and tapped the floor with his walking cane. "You make some good points, Duval. You have a sense of duty towards your fellow man..." He glanced down at his device as he heard the beep of a message having been received, followed by a scowl. "Unlike some other nobles..." He muttered, before he put the device away. "I look forward to seeing you prove yourself in the coming test, lad."

He then sighed as Arrish requested for Aurora to be granted engineering rights to the pilot's Framewerks, or at the very least, his own. He glanced at Liisa, who simply stared back, and then turned his eye back to the redhead. "I did not consider that she would be willing to work on any Frames other than her own. Very well then," he responded, and turned away. "I will write her down as an engineer for the Frames. If my suspicions are correct...She may prove quite valuable for this project." With that, he shuffled away, followed after by the Lilim.

Meanwhile, Elora had reached the hangar, and was checking out the maintenance work done on Logic Diver in a reticent manner, a hand held up to her chest as she examined the Frame.
...huh...well this looks familiar...you got any more room for pilots @Ariamis?

There is room. There are major changes to the rules and character creation, so please read through them if you intend to submit a CS.
@Ariamis Just as an aside, what does "you get one more Mod for your Framewerk" mean if you get the "Cyborg" Background Potential? Another weapon or system in effect? What defines a 'mod' in this scenario, then, if not that (because it seems explicit enough when mentioned elsewhere I mean).

It means a single modification to your Framework's operational abilities or systems, like how a Metal Mind can modify their Framewerk. For example, adding 360 rotation capability to a Framework's torso, or adding an additional ammunition type.
Elora was quiet throughout the entire lecture that Lorenzo had made. She took notes on her study laptop dutifully, but when the video began, she found it difficult to write anything down. In fact, her fingers froze on the keyboard, and tears started slowly drifting down her cheeks: it was a terrible reminder of the day she lost her parents, and the pain and sorrow that had followed her since. She buried her head in her arms, and started sobbing.

But amidst her crying, she heard Arrish' voice ,and she slowly lifted her head back up to look at him. Though he seemed apologetic for bringing up the topic, she never blamed him for it. In fact, as he recounted the need to face this evil together, she found herself nodding, and wiped her tears with her sleeve.

"I-I agree. I can't turn my eyes from the Cruxi. I must face them, just like my father did." That was when other pilots began to excuse themselves from the classroom, and Elora found herself following after them. "Thank you for the lecture, professor," she said with a little bow before she headed out, giving one last look at Ava as she passed by her desk.

Lorenzo, however, still remained, as he seemed focused on Arrish now. "Duval...I know what you're doing." He walked up to his desk, and leaned forward, his single eye now staring at him. "You're brown-nosing. I don't like that. Speak what's on your mind, laddie, or get out. My patience is wearing thinner than a squeezing Scyllian."

Lieutenant Ritsu saluted in return to Bug when he made the appropriate gesture, and afterwards listened as he asked her if she would be able to assist in their training. "Yes. In fact, I have submitted a proposal for some additional training sessions to be held by myself and Sergeant Ken to Admiral Cain. He and Executive Officer Lorenzo have personally spoken with the emperor of Ytalia, and informed me regarding your...specific circumstances in the induction to this project," she said, referring to his brother Orlando. "He wants to ensure you 'get properly started on your training and don't slack off and fool around', to quote him."

However, the lieutenant's expression shifted from a cordial one to a displeased one when Bug next made a crude question. She sighed, and shook her head. "Despite any rumors you might have heard prior to your arrival, the shower spaces are gender-exclusive. There was, however, a mishap caused by a certain pilot," she said, and refused to elaborate. "I advise you study the ship's map so you won't make the same mistake," she concluded as she adjusted her glasses.

She then turned her eyes to the twins, who seemed more pleasant to speak with. She seemed especially interested in Mema-Ka, whose gift of gab made a good first impression on the usually stoic woman, causing her to give a slight smile at the suave request for a date.
"Dinner, you say? Well, I suppose I could use a change of pace from the rather chaotic routine here...I'll reconsider my current schedule." She took out her personal device, and tapped it with a wink. "Expect a message soon for if I am able to make time for it. In the mean time, I expect you three to start your training at 8 AM. Dismissed."
Lorenzo stopped with a sigh as Serah called out after him, having seemingly hoped that he could exit without having to entertain the ignorance of the pilots. However, he huffed, and turned back to the podium: the students sought knowledge on a topic he was particularly passionate about, and his pride as man of science prevented him from declining, especially when the initial question was quickly drowned out by the pilots throwing out differing opinions. It was time to educate, he decided after coughing into his fist.

"Yes, Gene...The Cruxi have tried to communicate with the Galactic Federation, on numerous occasions. Their language has been incredibly difficult, seemingly fragmented with only bits and pieces that could be deciphered. We first suspected pheromone communication, but no specimens have been documented as having the biological functions necessary." He brought out a remote from his coat pocket.
"This is classified...But I'm going to share this with you, damn the consequences."

Holding the remote with an arm that was slightly shaking, whether it was from a moment of geriatric fatigue or seething rage, he activated a projector, and played back a video: it was footage from under a car at the site of a Cruxi invasion as a civilian held their smartphone and was seemingly holding their breath in utter dread, faint panicky breaths nearly inaudible. They filmed as Cruxi troopers walked in formation across the street, and in the distance sounds of plasma being fired could be heard, alongside a few faint scrams. Throughout the entire video, a sound of an audio recording was repeated, as if blared through loudspeakers, from a nearby Cruxi warship that floated across the sky. The voice that came from it, surprisingly, spoke in Galactic Common, though its intonation was dull and stilted to a disturbing degree, as if the person speaking was talking in their sleep, or in some kind of daze.

However, what was most chilling was the content of the recording:

"Supplication immediate, configuration lifelessness. Resistance Ancients objectiveless. Supplication immediate, configuration lifelessness..." The message repeated a couple of times before the car was suddenly lifted up, and the video ended on the freeze frame of a Cruxi trooper discovering the civilian.

For a moment, Lorenzo was silent, letting the pilots fully absorb the contents of the video, before he finally turned back: his single eye was cast in shadow from his lowered head.

"Despite the admittedly strange delivery, likely because of a poor grasp on our language, the content of the message is clear: those damn devils want nothing less than the unconditional and total surrender of the Galactic Federation and it's member species: humans, tevranians...everyone. Any resistance, no matter how small...would be met with execution." He lifted his hand up, and gripped it in a tightly closed fist.

He then sighed. "It is entirely possible the servants and other aliens members of the Cruxi are but mere slaves to these supposed 'Ancients' of theirs, and one piece of evidence lends credence to this theory: based on findings about strange scribbles and comparisons to their official written language, it seems the Ancients are purposefully suppressing the native languages of these thrall aliens, and forcing their own unified language and culture on them. If humanity would fall, the same fate would most assuredly face us. Everything we would have accomplished, all of our history, art, and independent achievements in creativity and imagination..."
Lorenzo grit his teeth. "...Mercilessly processed or eliminated, until only blind loyalty remains to their eternal masters."

He then tapped his fingers on the desk. "What makes them so dangerous then? How have they come this far in their conquest of these aliens, and now after us? Well, that is an interesting question to pose. You saw the video, didn't you? Knowing what we know of the Cruxi, and the language barrier, how was it that they produced that recording of what sounded like a human speaking for them? The Galactic Federation's stance was that the recording happened to be mere gibberish that just happened to resemble words from our language. However, I do not believe in such a pointless answer. That recording was intentionally made to be understood...And the Cruxi have the means to make it possible. It is amusing you would mention mind-controlling, lassie, as that is one of my theories on how it was accomplished, but there is no conclusive evidence. Of course there wouldn't be, mind-control as a concept is ludicrous, and doesn't have scientific merit. But that doesn't matter!" He slammed his fist on the podium, as if he was reminded of something...Something that he regretted.
"The mere fact that this exists is more than enough proof of the threat the Cruxi present! Of the horrors they are capable of!"

As if on cue after his bout of ranting, his coughing fit once again acted up, and his assistant Lilim, who had since mentioned her name as L-11-SA, or Liisa, stepped into the classroom to offer medicine to him. Afterwards, she stood by his side, as expressionless as ever, but with a hint of sympathy in her eyes. After his sip, he nodded to her, and then continued.

"Now then, there were still questions. Regarding the hunter-assassin shapeshifters, various tells have been recorded: the earliest reports mention difficulties with communicating verbally, which makes sense, since they started deployment soon after the war began, and their grasp on our language was near non-existent. Since then, they have ironed out this flaw, but other times recognizing them have been documented: one time, their limbs or even eyes happened to move independently, something humans are incapable of. And lastly, they have been documented as preferring to target male victims with seduction tactics before killing them: one particular assassin successfully wiped out an entire squadron of men, all of them blaming each other as they fell. Since then, mixed gender units have become widespread, and casualty rates have fortunately decreased." He then sighed, his long bout of speaking done.

"Any more questions?" He asked, eyeing Arrish in particular with a single eye glaring.

At an unknown point of time during the week, a new shuttle arrived at Solaire, and brought three new pilots: a strange prince, and a pair of even stranger twins. Lieutenant Ritsu was there, and gave them the same greeting and instructions as the first batch of pilots.
"You will be enlisted as part of the squad of Framewerk pilots of this project," she added. "You're a bit late on schedule in regards to training, but you will just have to compensate for it during free time. Any questions?" She asked them.

These sheets are missing a few pieces such as Framewerk appearances, but that is not compulsory information. Accepted.
