Current Still alive. Sorry for the delays. Still have that new job, but I'm (gradually) getting another one. Current one is too slow.

Still a little sick. Some sort of cold. Hopefully not the flu. Getting better but it's slowed me down.

That's a good point. Classics like The Little Mermaid were basically perfect the first time around and any remakes can only be worse. Remakes of the bad Disney movies are a second chance for them.

Bio

Hi there! I've been roleplaying for years, mostly in fantasy-type RPs. I don't like giving out too much about myself, but I am a man living in New York City (that's in the Eastern time zone, if you don't already know), over 18. Recently, I have been busy working, although I graduated from college and grad school a while back.

There would be treaties because these humans aren't evil and wouldn't want to wipe out goblins just because they're weaker, smaller, and green. They just want to live in peace, so they have a treaty.
@Vec

They are close enough in intelligence to make a treaty. Humans live longer and have more intelligence overall, but goblins mature faster. I suppose goblins are capable of learning what humans know, but since a goblin typically won't live too many years past 20 if he's lucky, he doesn't have enough time to really get smart, to put it bluntly.
@Vec

Well, "civilized" might be a bit far for them. They're illiterate and they live in straw huts. If you meant that they are more advanced than cavemen, you'd be correct.
@Vec

Sure thing! Do you have any questions about the goblin's biology or culture?
@Vec

And character traits, like personality. This was never meant to be like Digimon or something with "upgrades" or species change.
Goblins should be our main characters, but we can and probably will have to play non-goblin side characters at some points. As for the RP, it is more of a sandbox than anything else. I had no overarching plot in mind, but events will unfold as I and the other players make happen. If things get too out of hand (like if one of the players has aliens land and take goblins to another planet), I'd step in and have those posts edited, but as long as the story stays within certain broad parameters (those of fantasy and being fairly serious), I wouldn't usually intervene.

Our characters can and should evolve, but they still have to be true to their species. For example, Breden has gone from being a poor hunter to a good one, but he still wouldn't be caught dead willingly using a human-sized sword or axe. He'll never be more than three and a half feet tall, you see. Same thing with his culture; even if he could find some shoes, he wouldn't use them.
@Zillanilla

Cool. I'll have something up for you later today if I have the time.
@Zillanilla

Mind if I make a Hero Forge version of your character? It's just a 3D image.
@Blackmist16

"That sounds a lot like what shaman says." Breden didn't really have much more to comment on it than that; mystic sayings and the ways of magic and nature were beyond him. Before much longer, they were at the shaman's hut, which was somewhat closer than that of the chief's.

"Our shaman- ours is female but her apprentice is a male if I'm not mistaken- should see you soon. If she approves of your being here, the chief almost certainly will."
@Blackmist16

I'm back. Took me much longer than I thought. Sorry about that.
