Current Still alive. Sorry for the delays. Still have that new job, but I'm (gradually) getting another one. Current one is too slow.

Still a little sick. Some sort of cold. Hopefully not the flu. Getting better but it's slowed me down.

That's a good point. Classics like The Little Mermaid were basically perfect the first time around and any remakes can only be worse. Remakes of the bad Disney movies are a second chance for them.

Bio

Hi there! I've been roleplaying for years, mostly in fantasy-type RPs. I don't like giving out too much about myself, but I am a man living in New York City (that's in the Eastern time zone, if you don't already know), over 18. Recently, I have been busy working, although I graduated from college and grad school a while back.

@Zillanilla

It's fine. Real life comes first, after all.

Not for the first time, it was a lot for Breden to take in all at once. "O-okay. I'll let him know that we won't have anything to worry about from wolves. Not sure if he'll believe you, but if it really is as you say, then you'll become very popular around here very quickly. We almost always lose at least one person to wolves whenever its a cold winter. They tend to get hungry when that happens, and goblins are just the size of most of their prey."

Siwa had finished giving birth not an hour before Koglan knocked on her hut. Had it been anyone else but him, she would have sent him or her away, but she desperately wanted to show someone off to him.

"Kog! C-come in! Watch your step, though! I have six infants on the mats and two in my arms. M-my eldest child is a son who looks just like you! Come in here and name him! I'm sure he's yours!" Normally, such a thing as paternity didn't matter much to goblins, but a smith's skills were a rare thing. Whether or not they were in part passed down by blood was unknown, but what was clear was that whatever went into Koglan's lineage didn't inhibit his skills as a smith. It was likely that at least something useful was passed down to the boy.

"I also have another surprise for you!"
Ophion had been traveling for some time now. His life as an adventurer had proceeded well enough, but things had been going slowly lately. It had been almost five years since he had seen his homeland, and he expected that it would be at least another five more before he had the wherewithal to return home and use whatever assets he had acquired on his adventures to start an estate of his own. Not for the first time, he silently cursed his hatching order, that he should be denied the life his older brothers enjoyed simply because they happened to be born a few years before he was.

But regrets were pointless. The Dracon warmage had heard of a manor he could stay at for a while, or at least he had received instructions from a mysterious letter. Before his mage training, he would have regarded such a missive with suspicion or even fear, but he was no stranger to such magical oddities by now. Not sure if it was a trap or an opportunity, he decided to give the directions a shot. If it was a trap, it would at least give him someone to oppose and acquire treasures from, should he survive the trap. If it was an opportunity to find shelter and the aid of more adventurers, so much the better. If it was a bit of both, he'd deal with each situation as it arose. Supposedly, all would be provided for, including food and shelter. If nothing else, the savings on those things alone could cut down the time it would take for him to earn the money he'd require for his plans back home. Of course, even if his patron was completely honest about providing him with room and board, there would probably be a service expected from him in return.

Upon reaching the manor, Ophion saw a few people outside of it. He couldn't quite tell what race they were all supposed to be, but he got the impression that they weren't necessarily native to this land anymore than he was.

"Excuse me, but did you all receive the same letter that I did?" Ophion held out the mysterious note for emphasis. For a moment, he wondered if any of them even spoke his language. The dracon was fluent in his native draconic, common, and knew some words of elven. He spoke in common most days since leaving his homeland, but he had a draconic accent, making his speech seem "growly" when pronouncing R and S sounds.
