I want to write, but don't ever seem to have the drive anymore. Every time I come back to this place and pop in to see how things are going, I want to come back. But I just can't seem to stick around.

At this point I think it’s safe to say I hate college, since I’m in my graduating semester with 6 classes, but I’m also pretty anxious about whatever will happen once I’m finally done.

That last month of the semester hit me real hard, but so begins the recovery process. I just want to chill out for a bit without having to think about another academic paper...

Bio

It's been 4 years so I may as well put something in here, right?

I tend to enjoy worlds verging on the bleaker side of things, not really sure why. I like 'em gritty and somewhat grounded, with a reasonable amount of realism (fun takes priority though, ofc). I guess I just like having a sense that defeat is right around the corner, though overwhelming odds are always best saved for those wonderful moments when everyone feels like a total badass regardless of victory or defeat.

I've really wanted to find an RP set in the worlds of Red Dead, Hunt: Showdown, For Honor, the Metro series, and a few others I can't remember at the moment. Any time I look I come up empty-handed, but I'd still like to find one.

Go for it.

Here's what I had done enough work on and transferred from my phone.

Dronok
Biology: Dronok are a race of biosynthetic life forms, that originate from the Triox: a combination of 3 artificial planets connected by space bridges, with an artificial sun in the center. The majority of Dronok are mass-produced, although there are several different types or "molds". In fact, there is even a subspecies of Dronok mass-produced to aide human forces in large-scale conflicts, named Ectypes. These Ectypes are designed to resemble humans, are much cheaper in resources, and are completely synthetic. However, most of the Dronok species is partly biological, and resemble much of the anatomy found in biological life forms such as humans. The only real difference is the advanced supercomputer minds of the Dronok, the digital connection between all their minds, and the advanced nuclear fission core that acts as their heart. Otherwise, they have various tubes and cords that act as veins. Dronok "blood" originates as a bright, electrified, metallic cyan, then cools into a metallic, silvery, black liquid.
Culture: Military hive mind, yet each Dronok seems to have it's own personality.
Technology: Highly advanced, gauss and railgun weapons are common, above average personal cloaking, top-of-the-line shielding.

Iganthu
Biology: The Iganthu are an amphibious race of fish-like humanoids who are naturally adapted for speed and flexibility over raw strength. Their technology is crude, but is often used as a prosthetic limb replacement...which often packs more of a punch than their original arm. They have six fingers, two thumbs on either side of the hand and four webbed fingers. Iganthu also have two long and slender toes connected by webbing. Their nostrils are located on their brows, and their teeth are mostly flat and crushing molars. The Iganthu have red orange blood with blue tinting, it is also toxic.
Culture: Most of the population exercises a traditional approach to life with a caste system, only the the majority of the population is situated in either the Noble/Politician caste, the Merchant caste, or even make livings as renowned Bounty Hunters. They have a society very similar to themes seen in ancient Japan and ancient China, with peaceful and tranquil artificial environments in not only the home but also the workplace.
Technology: Needle and dart projectiles, top-of-the-line filtration systems, ship cloaking.

Psardas
Position: The Spine
Combat Role: Soldiers, Generals, Praetorians, Royal Guard
Biology: The Psardas are a naturally strong and formidable race, driven by their ideals of glory, honor, and nobility. They stand at about eight to nine feet tall built of muscle, with quadruple-jointed legs and a more hunched neck and back. The Psardas have four toes arranged to somewhat resemble an X, with two toes pointing forward and slightly to either side, and two to either side pointing backwards and out. They have two larger arms much like a human's, only being situated differently on the body. Their hands appear to be two palms fused together to form a "Venus fly trap" like structure, with two fingers on each "palm" to equal four fingers on each hand. Psardas have a longer skull to allow for their strange jaws, which are split into two separate mandibles that can be used together as one, as well as having a tongue similar to a snake's but splits into three instead of two. Typical outfitting is very similar to that of human clothing and military gear. Psardas blood is green.
Culture: Honor is everything. They hold ceremonial exhibition matches, using antique ceremonial weapons, that play out much like a gladiator match. They also are big on ritualistic public executions on criminals and heretics. To go into combat and live through it unscathed is an honor, to go into combat and die is an honor, but...to go into combat and become injured or be taken prisoner is a tremendous disgrace. If an individual should do something shameful, they shall be demoted and punished...but if a noble should do something shameful; they will be punished and branded in a public display of humiliation, and if they receive three brand marks they will be stripped of their armor and rank entirely and be exiled.
Technology: Energy weapons that shoot high-density energy spheres, personal shielding, adequate personal cloaking.

Rashuragi
Position: The Claws
Combat Role: Berserker, Suppressor
Biology: The Rashuragi are extremely agile, despite their thick armoring of the back and arms. In addition to armor, their backs are covered in curved razor spikes. Their arms are designed to function as adequate shovels, and grants them the ability to dig quickly, although they rarely use their arms to dig. They also have an astounding ability to leap and perform acrobatic motions, such as crawling/jumping on/off walls. The Rashuragi have no language, and instead use body language paired with shrieks or roars to communicate. The Rashuragi also have a large mass of tendrils within their mouth that function as their tongue, which allows for them to emit sonic shrieks that can actually blow objects away. Rashuragi have a silvery cyan blood.
Culture: N/A
Technology: NONE

Kakeru
Biology: The Kakeru are a smaller race adept at engineering, and well fit for scouting roles. The Kakeru have no ankle joints, but they do have two small toes pointing forward and one toe that functions as a heel pointing backwards, although their armor is often made without separate toes. Their arms are of a similar nature, but while having no obvious separation of wrist and forearm, they do have a wrist joint, and their three fingers reflect their toes. Kakeru also have multiple(3-4) eyes pointed in different directions and allowing them to see forward as well as to either side of their head, and many Kakeru helmets have data displays on either side of the helmet so one individual can monitor systems while in a firefight. Their skin is mostly smooth with the addition of some wrinkling around joints. Kakeru blood is a gooey cyan.
Culture: Nothing too significant to note.
Technology: Plasma weaponry, high density reinforced energy shielding, and top-of-the-line advanced cloaking.

Scionnus
Biology: The Scionni are a very militaristic race, and their bodies reflect the enormous devotion that they have for pure warfare. Every last adult male Scionnus is physically and mentally tested before being admitted to a military branch to undergo the necessary physical modifications. A single Scionnus may already be adept enough at surviving natural dangers, what with an immense amount of cartilage as coating on bones and under skin and even as structural support combined with a powerful immune system, but a single Scionnus cannot survive advanced warfare without additional augmentation. All Scionni have most of their armor grafted into their flesh and bone, as well as having additional nanite injectors in their spines. Scionni blood is naturally blue, but as their armor is grafted into their bodies, the blood mixes with dark oils/fuels, and the addition of nanites results in a silvery finish.
Culture: War is everything. Be prepared, stand strong do the damage.
Technology: Fast firing heavy caliber projectile weaponry, top-of-the-line nanite regeneration systems, top-of-the-line disruption, jamming, and voice encryption technology.

Gathrogan
Biology: The Gathrogan are a large, bulky race with an intimidating appearance that suggests an evolution of strength over intelligence, but it is quite the opposite. The Gathrogan may appear to be hulking beasts of strength standing at about eight to nine feet tall, built up with an immense bulk of flesh and muscle, but they are not as strong as they might look. They are actually quite squishy, as most of their flesh is comprised of fatty substances that exhibits a Jello-like behavior. They have rather stubby feet and toes, and have three large fingers that are each tipped with two smaller and more pincer-esque fingers. They have no visible neck or external nose, and have a wide mouth with little tentacles instead of teeth or even a tongue. Gathrogan blood is a maroon goop, and as their environment suits are filled with a special blue jelly used to keep their bodies hydrated, the jelly often mixes with their blood when shot. Also, they produce a lot of mildly-acidic, yellow, mucous-like saliva that is used to aide the digestion of food.
Culture: UNKNOWN. HOMEWORLD UNKNOWN.
Technology: Advanced photon and nuclear weaponry, top-of-the-line energy production methods, above average shielding, above average filtration systems.

Skurj
Biology: The Skurj are a durable race of insectoids, built for survival in almost any environment. Their body is encased in an exoskeleton made of chitin, yet despite being insectoids they still have a skeletal structure within. This skeletal structure is not as intricate as a human's, but it is just as sturdy if not more so. The exoskeleton is designed to protect against slashing and impact trauma, while the inner skeleton is designed to protect against stabbing/puncturing and slashing. Skurj are also known to have shield-crest formations atop, and to the back of, their head which are used to dictate rank or social class. Skurj have a syrupy mix of green and purple blood with a brownish tint.
Culture: Head crest determines social and military class. No crest are pawns, while the more extravagant the crest; the higher the rank. Hive mind.
Technology: Weapons shoot heated metal spikes or a spray of molten metal shreds, only known vehicle is a "Hive Invasion Carrier" made mostly of rock in a cylindrical shape(used to crash-land onto planets to begin total invasions). They are known to have the capability of infesting entire ships and planets without raising alarm, but much about this race's technology is unknown.

Hijackers (worms)
Biology: Simple maggot-like larvae that the Skurj wield as biological weapons, due to their unnatural ability to hijack and seemingly reanimate bodies. They are also known to be able to grow into an armored cockroach-like creature, a scorpion-like creature with a pincer tail, or a four-winged wasp-like creature with a scorpion-esque tail when sufficiently fed by corpses. Hijackers are known to have several natural defense mechanisms, such as poison glands(acts like gas from a stink bug when in maggot or roach form, and acts like a proper stinger in scorpion and wasp form). Their blood is a mixture of rusty brown and putrid green, and can contaminate the air with toxins in large quantities.

Nah, he was just a normal (extremely buff) dude.

And man, jetpacks and stuff like that is why I roleplay in the first place- its all about figuring out how asinine shit like that can not get us killed in a setting built from the ground up to be as realistic as possible with the necessary liberties taken so that it works to as far as our knowledge can go after all the required research. Basically what I'm saying is, motherfucker we got us some jetpacks and perhaps a working explanation for longterm space travel. Would those thermal turbojets be powerful enough to make a trip from Earth to Mars?

<Snipped quote by ArenaSnow>

Hey, don't forget to share with the rest of the class. We're all in on this, so we should all give our input on ideas and stuff.

Should I put up some alien sheets somewhere?
<Snipped quote by Driving Park>

it's as if no one is educated enough to realize that they're lacking a whole bunch of time

it's as if they're all expecting Marcus to sit on a Lamborghini the entire time singing Crawling by Lincoln Park with a Mercedes filled with women sitting on his lap instead of devising a plan to take over the world as they battle for ownership over some artifact

it's as if they think that Marcus didn't totally kill their classmates specifically because they didn't have enough time and power and jacked around plentifully

just why

That's like what every serious show that has ever existed does. Filler content. Lots and lots of filler content.

"What main bad guy? Oh him? The guy that blew up 13 cities and burns kittens? I forgot about him."

<Snipped quote by Sovi3t>

This is character based, but I don't really like the idea of being a smuggler.

<Snipped quote by ArenaSnow>

Hey, go for it man. This'll require a lot of organization, as more info will be provided as the story and creation of the setting progresses.

<Snipped quote by ArkmageddonCat>

I like the idea of having multiple planets and many different societies and species to go with those planets, so I'd say that gets the go ahead. However, the colonies bug me. In the age of advanced technology and possible colonization of different planets, why is there a slum planet and why does the rich colony have a high rate of organ trafficking? I'd wager that medical technology has reached the point to where we can make and implant artificial organs relatively quickly and cheaply.

This universe is slightly more advanced than Halo, while being a hundred years before.

Organs-
1. Cannibalism.
2. Black market. Why spend money making them when you can just take them for free?
3. I felt like it.

Slum colony-
1. Look at Omega from Mass Effect. The asteroid colonies are along those lines. They just let themselves go.
<Snipped quote by ArkmageddonCat>

So much spunk.

....wow.
@ArkmageddonCat

The original character is both blonde and uses fire. So probably both. She's got way more spunk and badassery than Terra though.

I can see they used fire...the fire made hard to tell if the hair was really blonde.

Spunk, huh?
So after re-watching some RWBY, I'm really tempted to make a third character. I'll hold back for now but the idea is there...

So will she be blonde or is that just fire?

Kinda reminds me of Terra from Teen Titans...except...fire...
I have a large but incomplete self-made universe. Got all kinds of alien races and factions and religions and their technology. There are only a few confirmed planets other than our solar system, but all the creativity I can spare from designing alien races goes into the struggles of human colony life.

For example, the Saturn Stations are slum colonies where smuggling and murder rates are high. And while the Uranus Stations are the richer and higher class colonies, they are home to notorious human trafficking and organ market operations. Both planets, however, feature a high rate of canabalism.

As far as aliens, there are about 15. One race has a coming-of-age ritual where armor is grafted into their flesh, another race is made up of bio-synthetic beings who live in an artificial solar system(kinda like the Cybertronians in Transformers, only these beings aren't giant transformers), and another race has amazing psionic abilities.

There's more to it, but I think you get the point.
