If it's losing momentum it's due to people not pursuing interaction, waiting for interaction to come to them. If you don't talk to people they don't talk to you.

I once had an entire group of adventurers complain of such when they elected to get jobs in the town. They blatantly ignored the adventurer's guild posting board, the thief that picked their pockets, the overturned wagon that needed righting, and more. If you don't seek interaction, if you stay at home all the time, you don't experience things.
Don't worry. I certainly know the difference between a player and his or her character. I've played some evil and disturbing sorts in the past. However, I'm not sure about time skipping. I'm not fond of attempting such things without prior clearance from my GM. Thus I'm going to wait and see what Gummies wants before I post.

As for the Doctor, Capaldi I like a lot. He has a lot of energy. What I don't like is Moffat's recent writing. Where is the writing headed? Why is this Doctor ignoring the last half decade of character development? He acts like the catharsis that was the fiftieth anniversary never happened. The new master... is doing what he/she is doing because he/she is lonely? This is where Capaldi is getting shafted.
Well, it's been 24 hours. I say post and the rest be damned.

You'd think someone would jump on that Capaldi reference. I guess there are no Doctor Who fans present.

The silent thread... it's emptiness burns
Sorry to hear about you feeling depressed Tippers. I get like that from time to time.

As for speed posting Commissar Randy. Yeah, I usually try and wait either twenty hours or until a couple people post to avoid that myself. That's not to say I don't sometimes get excited and push ahead from time to time. I'm only human. There's also the occasion where someone acts a directed question. Sometimes the action can't continue until that "yes or no", "left or right" question gets answered.
"What a waste," Sarah replied, "You really should make your own Doctor Who spinoff on youtube, maybe with some companions trying to return the TARDIS to the Doctor. With luck maybe the BBC will send Peter Capaldi to guest star."

Sarah then spent several moments mindlessly staring into the sunset before she realized that the new guy who'd met them on the way to the diner was trying to get her attention. He called her "ma'am". Good lord, a couple of years older and someone addresses her like she's an old hag. How thoughtlessly rude. She blushed, her cheeks reddening beneath the deathly gray corpse like pallor of her cheeks.

She was dressed as something of a harem girl, a black thong bikini and translucent sleeves and pants around her slender arms and legs. She wore a golden Barbie wig over her dark hair and it rolled down over her pale shoulders. Her skin was painted in mottled gray, like that of a corpse laying in the morgue while the eyes that returned Gio's gaze were grey, rheumy and looked glazed as if she were blind. Most strange of all was the jeweled, black bladed, plastic dagger with red runes that looked like it was buried several inches inside the blonde girl's head.

"Hello there, ma'am. I am afraid I did not introduce myself. My name is Gio Aguilar, or the esteemed Commissar Sebastian Yarrick. May I ask your name and the person your cosplaying as?"

Sarah found herself curtsying, dipping low in a way that let Gio look down into valley of her bikini top. "If I were able to reply I would say that I was Assallya Kressair, a Dungeons and Dragons sorceress hailing from Westgate in the Forgotten Realms" she orated, effecting a pompous attitude. Her manner changed as well, and her poise, looking more confidant as she assumed her alternate identity. "Alas I cannot reply for I am slain. I had seduced and was about to murder an old wizard when my own companions, having discovered that he alone knew the location of an ancient treasure, realized they had to save the wizard at any cost."

She tapped her black painted fingernail against the plastic dagger drawing his attention to it. "They burst in and saved him, throwing this soul slaying knife into my head and thus now I am dead."
"Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue," Sarah quoted as she glided into the hotel room and approached the big blue box in an almost reverent fashion,, "The TARDIS is all of the above."

She gently stroked the blue substance that the prop was made of, black painted fingernails tapping gently at it's surface so as not to mar the finish. The TARDIS props, even those they used in the show were made out of synthetics, fiberglass if she remembered correctly. She carefully maneuvered herself, the plastic dagger sticking out of her head making her be extra careful as she pressed her cheek up against it. Despite not feeling like wood beneath her fingertips and cheek it was still decidedly impressive.

"I hope you have a big house," Sarah commented, wondering where one would keep such a trophy.

Turning away from the TARDIS prop the dancing girl slipped across the hotel room in a manner that was half a dance. She paused in the middle of the room, looking out into the night sky beyond the balcony, the last licks of orange and gold limning the horizon as the sun quietly sneaked behind the curvature of the Earth. It was quite beautiful.
Errr... what girl in bondage gear? The closest I see is Celty in the motorcycle suit, Assallya in harem attire, and Bayonetta in her vinyl body suit sporting guns and tall hair. Am I missing someone?

In one of his first outings...

I didn't say it was his "first" outing.

Though I should add that I like to pretend that none of that Vulcan, Petra, Darwin and Sway ever happened. I really don't like how Professor Xavier has been retconned into a villain as of late.
Embarrassed, David's rather simplified explanation gave Sarah a chance to recover her composure. She couldn't help but dance towards the indicated truck, her pale skin flashing beneath the street lamps in stark contrast to the black silk shrouded limbs. She was beginning to consider some of the others for new boyfriend material. After all, her boyfriend wasn't exactly stellar and... she hated to admit it, now that he had helped her build some confidence she was thinking she could do better than a musclebound grease monkey with a limited intelligence quotient. Unfortunately, while she couldn't be sure, she guessed most of these boys were underage- not that it would make your average male hesitate but long term potential was something else entirely.

"Oh no," Sarah grinned, moving in the direction of the truck, "I know the TARDIS. My father wouldn't let me watch the new series until I'd watched the old. I know all the Doctors now, even that horrible american movie version. That alternate acronym just jumped into my head."

"Unfortunately, I don't have a car and I'm stuck using the bus."

Leaning up against the front door as she reached the vehicle, her body in profile, she grinned at the entire group and casually called, "SHOTGUN!"
