My opposition does nothing but get in the way and cause problems for everyone else, right? What if I just sucked it up and let everything be as it would. Maybe even use my abilities to help from time to time.

It's terrible to see it bother you though.
Another question I've considered, is whether it would be easier to give up? If I embraced it, maybe it'd make it easier for everyone else in turn. And maybe I'd get over it.
