The water one isn't dangerous, just inconvenient. We have our own equivalents of hot and cold as well, which I think probably feel similar to yours.

We have that too—it's a bit different since it becomes harder to move any part of your body rather than just your feet. There are also swampy, toxic conditions that drain you of your energy over time.
