Bumping. Looking for something involving virtual reality. Specifically I want to play a character similar to Haruyuki from Accel World: someone who IRL is shy and awkward and maybe not the most attractive-looking, but in-game is an absolute badass. I want this difference between his personas to be used for a little bit of drama (ie scared about meeting someone he met in-game IRL because of his appearance and mannerisms).

I rarely ask, but...

I normally wouldn't ask for a partner to play a canon character, but I am absolutely dying to RP my character opposite either Sinon or Pitohui. If you're up for this, I will love you. Or at least like you and appreciate you.

Also in the mood for some Monster Hunter, especially if it's centered around Kamura or Riders.

Hider

A small theropod, Geminiraptor are generally skittish and flighty creatures. However, this goes out the window during breeding season, when packs of these animals will form to take down larger prey. While their diet includes leaves, ferns, and berries, their saliva contains proteins that act as anticoagulants. This adaptation allows them to take down larger prey by causing them to bleed to death, allowing them to eat their prey at their leisure.

Diet: Omnivorous; will usually target small animals such as rodents, birds, reptiles, and insects, and supplement with plant material; will occasionally hunt larger prey

Gender/identity: Male
Appearance: Andrew is a bit shorter than most men, and a little bit chubby. He tends to wear Hawaiian shirts and shorts.
Skills: Computer knowledge, fishing
Personality: A quiet, shy young man, Andrew finds it difficult being with people, and this often manifests as a certain level of anxiety. He likes being around animals, and often talks to them when nobody else is around. Andrew cares strongly for his family, to the point that some might call him a "mama's boy". While normally very quiet, he can lose his temper, and will say things he'll regret later.
Likes: Computers, video games, animals, rock/metal music
Dislikes: Large groups/crowds, people who mistreat animals
Fears: Being forgotten, losing his family
Backstory: Andrew comes from a broken family, and sought shelter from the problems in his life in books, movies, and video games. While incredibly intelligent, he would often get in trouble in his younger days due to his temper and his penchant for skipping school. He did graduate on time, but only after cramming two years' worth of schooling into one. After high school he tried college, but dropped out, and found himself working full time. He managed to make a few friends, but never had much of a social life. His friend, Erika, talked him into going on a day of sailing with her college friends and associates.

@Autumn Moon@SporkoBug@RickyG85 I think we're going to have to all play multiple characters, which shouldn't be too big of a problem. As this is going to play on a lot of horror movie tropes, keep that in mind when creating your characters. Though, luckily for everyone else, I'll be taking control of the poor bastard that gets picked off first to let the group know what they're up against. I'll get to working on a CS template soon.

Oh, and of course, what's dinosaur horror without the dinosaurs? While not all species of the Cedar Mountain Formation will be featured, the ones that will play into the story include: Acrocanthosaurus (because we need a big predator), Utahraptor, and Deinonychus (and I will endeavor to make sure the two species of raptors behave differently to be different threats).
