My issue with GMing is once the novelty of the new idea wears off, I have no idea what to do next, and everyone is looking at me to progress the narrative.

I still haven’t watched TLOK. It’s on my long list of shows and movies to binge.

Bio

Gay, he/him, Autistic

I’m Crimson Flame and I’m addicted to RPing. But sometimes ADHD kicks in, and it takes me longer to reply to things than it should. If I’m taking too long to respond, feel free to say something. Just don’t be rude about it.

There are a bunch of RPs I like. Pokémon, Digimon, Fantasy, Superhero, it would take too long to list them all. I’m not a fan of Horror or Apocalypse settings though.

I have a particular type of character I like making. Look through my Character Sheet thread, and see if you notice what a lot of my characters have in common.

Niko’s eyes practically sparkled as he took in the angelic figures before him. “Oh my GOD!” He exclaimed, gripping the sides of his face. “It’s like something out of a magical girl anime! This is SO COOL! I have to draw this later!”

Niko bounced up and down excitedly as the angels explained the situation. He wanted to play it cool. He really did. The girl he was talking to before already looked like she was unimpressed by this entire situation, and he didn’t want to annoy everyone else… but that just wasn’t Niko’s style.

“So, wait… we’re really chosen ones here to save the digital world? Oh, that’s awesome? Does this make me a magical boy then? Do we get magical powers? Or cool weapons? Or cute talking animal companions? Oh my god, what if we get transformation sequences with awesome background music and, like, twirling ribbons and sparkles?!” He gasped. “What if I get an outfit?! Do we get outfits?!”

He stopped for a second, realizing he was practically vibrating with excitement, and forced himself to take a breath. “Sorry. I, um… I get a little overexcited,” he said, sheepishly running a hand through his pink hair. “But like… this is just so cool! I’ll try to chill. Maybe. Uh… anyway…” He grinned and threw up a peace sign. “Sugoi!”
I usually throw interest in Power Ranger RPs just so I can be a male Pink Ranger. Why change now?
I have a character similar to Bushroot, so I’m going to reserve that.
As soon as Danny got the text, he swung towards the location. There, he found Prowler already waiting on the roof.

Danny gave Prowler a salute, then clung to the edge of the roof, peeking over the side. He scanned the area. The warehouse was old, brick walls covered in graffiti and the windows long since shattered. Rusted metal doors hung slightly open, and the occasional creak of settling steel echoed through the night. He adjusted his position, to get a better view. He could see a few old security cameras, but they were either smashed or powered down. He counted at least three possible entry points: a broken skylight, a loading dock door that had been forced open, and a fire escape ladder leading to a side door.

He adjusted his position, crawling to a nearby skylight that had long since lost its glass. He caught a glimpse of Dani webbed up in a cocoon alongside their cousins. Nearby, the guy that had taken them was pacing back and forth, his fists crackling with blue electricity.

But the thing that took Danny off guard… He saw more familar figures marching around the warehouse. More clones. “God damn it. I thought we were done with the clone nonsense.” Danny muttered to himself. He knew he had to get them out of there, but he also knew he couldn’t just rush in. This guy had already kicked his ass once. They needed a plan.

Come on, Caty. Danny thought, clenching his fists tighter. Hurry up. We don’t have much time.
I am somewhat of a fairytale/Disney nerd. So I’m tentatively interested.
Mmm maybe i should have had Abby cover the bank since that is were most of the action is. Oh well.

You’re fine. Every hero and villian doesn’t need to be in one place. That would be chaotic.
Eli will land at the bank heist clumsily, and provide magical assistance.
And added to the collab.
In a cramped apartment above a 24-hour laundromat, Niko Watanabe lay belly-down on his bed, legs kicking in the air, his pink hair slightly ruffled from a full day at school. His tablet was propped up on a stuffed alpaca plush, and his attention was consumed by drawing a cute bunny knight with his stylus. Music blasted softly through his earbuds, some bubblegum J-pop track he had stuck in his head for days. His room was covered in posters of cute anime, and he had enough plushies to open a small gift shop.

Then—

Din-don!
One new email.

Niko blinked. “Huh?”

He sat up and yanked out one earbud, tapping on the notification.

The Digital World Needs Your Help!

Niko tilted his head, and kept reading.

“Evil is afoot in the Digital World. Rival armies vie for control of the land, and heroes are needed to save the innocent! You’ve been chosen to protect those who can’t protect themselves. What say you?”

Beneath that: a glowing pink button that said “I want to help!”

Niko’s eyes went wide with excitement. “Ohmygod is this a game? This looks so legit! Wait, is this one of those shady pop-up viruses? Oh no what if it’s malware? WAIT NO it’s too pretty to be malware!”

He thought about it for exactly ten seconds, biting his lower lip, before throwing his hands in the air. “YOLO.” He tapped the button.

A flash of light burst from his tablet screen. Niko shrieked and flailed backward, arms flapping wildly. “WHA-OHMYGOD—WHAT IS HAPPENIIIIIIING—!”

When he opened his eyes, he was sprawled flat on polished white marble.

Niko blinked at the ceiling. “Okay. So either I’m dreaming, or I got isekai’d via Google Doc. Honestly? Wouldn’t be the weirdest Tuesday.”

He sat up, rubbing his head. “Wait—is this a palace?! Am I in a fantasy palace?! Am I a chosen one?!”

He looked around—and then saw them.

Other people. Strangers. Probably also confused. Definitely not NPCs.

Niko immediately panicked.

“Oh no,” he whispered, trying to shrink himself. “Real people. With real eyeballs. What if they think I’m weird—what if they already think I’m weird—what if my hair looks dumb—”

But then, he spotted one girl. He took a breath. Put on his biggest, brightest smile. “Hi!! I’m Niko!” he chirped, bouncing up and down. “Isn’t this like, the coolest thing ever?! I mean, it’s also terrifying but like—I’m super ready to save the Digital World or whatever! Are you ready? I’m ready! I mean I think I’m ready—unless we have to fight bugs. I hate bugs. BUT I’M STILL READY!” He paused. Blinked. “…Sorry. I talk a lot when I’m nervous.”
Danny sat at the edge of a rooftop. Queens was quiet tonight, almost too quiet. And whenever someone uses that cliche, you know something was about to go down. He stretched his legs, ready to move on, when something caught his eye. A familiar figure in pink and purple darting across the street below.

“Dani?”

He swung down, landing a few feet in front of her in a crouch. She flinched hard, reflexively raising her fists ready to fight, until she realized who it was. She lifted up her mask up, and Danny was stunned. His clone turned cousin was cheerful about everything, but this time, she looked like she’d seen a ghost.

“Dani, what—? What are you doing here?” he asked, stepping closer. “What happened?”

She looked over her shoulder, shaking. “He found me. I don’t know how, but he found me.”

“Who?” Danny asked, gently gripping her shoulders. “You’re safe now, okay? Just take a breath and…”

“He took my sisters,” Dani choked out. “He came out of nowhere, no Spider Sense, no warning…”

Before Danny could process any of that, or ask anymore questions, he heard a thud. Danny spun around. His eyes widened. The person standing in front of him was wearing a masc version of Caty’s costume. The guy moved quickly. Danny’s Spider-Sense didn’t go off at all. The guy was able to land a punch of Danny that sent him flying into a parked car.

Dani screamed. Before she could get to him, her attacker was on her.

Danny scrambled to his feet firing off webs like a madman. He managed to get a few hits in, but the guy shook it off like it was nothing. He wasn’t putting in much effort, and still had the upper hand. He wasn’t here to fight. He was here to take.

Then, in an unexpected twist, the attacker fired a blast of… electricity? Knocking Danny out briefly. By the time he recovered, both him and Dani were gone.

Dani sighed, and tapped on his comm. “Caty we have a problem. I—I just ran into Dani. She’s in town. She’s—she’s been taken. By some guy in a knockoff version of your suit… Spider-sense didn’t work, and he had some sort of weird electricity powers I’ve never seen!”
