Favorite quotes from games I've played (No order, rhyme, or reason. I just think they're neat.)

"I might be big, and not as strong as the other guys... but the one thing I'm not... IS WEAK!" -Murray, Sly 2

"The important thing is not how long you live... it's what you accomplish with your life." -Grovyle, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky

"Raven. Let's meet this new age... together." -Ayre, Armored Core 6

"It took me a while, but I finally figured out that this isn't about me, about what I want. Not anymore. It's about keeping this city safe. And once you're dead, no one will ever threaten it again." -Cole Macgrath, Infamous.

Regarding the info you want for the sheets:
Do you want real-life images for characters? Or are anime/art pictures allowed?
Could we use existing characters in the Persona/SMT world? Or would you prefer original characters?
How long do you want character history to be?
Is the Persona allowed only one focus? Or could there be a major/minor focus thing going on? (Like a major focus on Guns, and a minor focus on buffing for example.)

I hope I'm not bombarding you with questions!

Anime/Art pictures are allowed and encouraged.

I would prefer original characters.

Character history should probably be between one and four paragraphs.

I should've specified that, but yes you're allowed a major and minor focus. Additionally, you get your elemental magic regardless of your focus, though it's up to you how much you actually use it.
Roughly how long will it have been since the apocalypse happened? Will we be dealing with the immediate fallout, or will the story begin a few months/years in?

As of the start, the world is moments away from ending. So you'll be dealing with the immediate fallout.
Is there any particular element set or game logic we're following?
Or will it be a bit open to narrative interpretation?

It'll be open to narrative interpretation.
How many players do you need to get the game running? When will the OOC Thread be posted?

Will there be a Discord Server?

I want a minimum of four, but can run with more.

OOC Thread will probably be posted after I've got said four or more people.

And I don't intend on having a Discord server, but if people want one I can make one.
Now that this is starting to get at least some interest, let me give y'all a CS to fill out. Also, if there are any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to ask.

Sounds fun! Persona is such an interesting twist on the urban fantasy genre, I'd love to join.

Glad to hear it.
@Bacon, you know what? Sure; I'll join.

Glad to have you on board.
I'm interested. :)

I love the Persona series. <3 I haven't written anything in a long time, so I'm a bit rusty. But I wanted to express my interest!

I'll get a CS drafted once there's a few more folks interested.
I AM THOU, THOU ART I.

These words are the first step in awaking the true self. The power that sleeps within the chosen few of mankind, those with the strength of will to make their mark.

Where once the Metaverse and the Real World were kept separate, machinations by entities long-since forgotten by man have sought to fuse the two so they may manifest. Usually, a special individual called a trickster would arise to take on such a threat, and save the world at cost to themselves. This time, however, the door to the Velvet Room never appeared to such a person. The entities are about to enact their plan, and the world as most know it is about to come to an end.

However, this does not have to mean the end of the world, or the end of humanity. In times of crisis, those with the strength of heart will rise to make their mark, to defend the people they care about, and to maybe, just maybe, save the world.

The Velvet Room calls to you. Will you answer?

This is a concept I’ve had for a while, but this is my first time trying to implement it. Effectively, the story would follow a ragtag group of people who awaken to their Personas not long after the effective end of the world. This whole thing was inspired by a mix of the Persona series, and SMT Devil Survivor. I plan on setting it in a major American city (such as Washington DC or New York City) instead of Tokyo, but I’m willing to change that if people would prefer otherwise.

For clarification, the PCs wouldn’t be Tricksters. They’d each have a Persona and a Second Awakening, maybe a Third Awakening if you’d like. This is to help keep the party members distinct, and to avoid one player becoming the main character by being the only Trickster like it normally is with Persona.

Additionally, I would allow for you to make your own Persona if you so choose. Alternatively, you could pick a couple out from the hundreds of different Personas from across the games. Here’s a couple things to note for that:

A: Personas don’t have to maintain what they are consistently depicted with. You could have a Giramikala who’s a magic attacker with a vulnerability to physical attacks for all I care.

B: Keep it within reason. Unless you’re alright with it getting significantly nerfed from it’s in-game counterparts, don’t go picking Personas like Satan, Messiah, Izunagi-No-Okami, Satenial, etc.

Would anyone be interested in a game like this?
Levi stood in an open alley, silently looking over True Light’s Flight.

I have magic too? I don't remember anyone teaching me that one. Might be best to get in some practice now, while I have time. Could help if I get used to my new keyblade, too. Improvising will only get me so far.

He spent the next hour or so in that alley, just swinging his keyblade and getting used to it, it's weight and the flow it encouraged. Levi found it was extremely light as a weapon, but his was noticeably heavier towards the tip, enough to lend the weapon more to slashing than stabbing, but light enough that it didn't really matter if he needed to use it another way.

Through experimentation, he found he had enough in him for two, maybe three casts of Aero. After each cast, he felt a strange heaviness similar to exhaustion, but altogether different. After a while without casting it would start to alleviate, which he figured his capacity to cast and recovery rate would both increase gradually if he kept practicing. But that wasn't his main interest right now.

“One… two, three.” He muttered under his breath as he gave an overhand slash, followed after a brief pause by two much quicker slashes. “No, that doesn’t feel right. One, two… three.” He then gave the keyblade a thrust, followed by an upward slash, and an overhand slash thereafter. “Not bad, not bad… but I might be able to flow into something else with that.” He reset his stance, and after a moment, started again. “One two… three… four.” He paused, trying to transition from that overhand slash with a second overhand slash, but it was slow and didn’t feel right. “Not that.” He muttered, as he looked at the oversized sharpened key.

If these things are so unique, so special, like Zac said… then why us? Why some random group of teenagers from the middle of nowhere? Why not some hero from another world?

Levi turned the keyblade over, before dismissing it. He didn’t really know how he did that, he just… did. It was almost reflexive, like opening and closing his hand. He called, it answered, and he had no idea as to why. Levi then left the alley, as he decided to look over the first district yet again.

One way or another, it looks like our merry band isn’t going anywhere quite yet. Which begs the question, just who am I travelling with?

Levi walked over to the Moogle, and after receiving no updates, made his way to a vendor and bought himself some… breakfast? Lunch? Whatever meal it was, it didn’t matter. He simply walked over to a table, sat down, and started eating while he considered just who he’d been traveling with.

Right now, there’s only two unknown factors. First, there’s Zac. He’s strong, he seems to have a good head on his shoulders, and he didn’t leave us to die. But other than that, I don’t know much about him. I should track him down and talk to him, I’m sure he could give me some pointers about swinging this key around if nothing else.

Then there’s Taivas. He seems capable, but he’s clearly looking out for number one. I can understand that, but it means I might not be able to rely on him to stick his neck out and help unless there’s something in it for him. Besides, as much as our initial introduction might’ve been a bit… rough… I can firmly say he didn’t just grab the ship’s controls and leave the others to die. So there's that at least. He seems agreeable, but I'd have to actually sit down and talk with him.

With that, he opted to slip his headphones on, turn on a calming song, and simply relax as he ate for the first time in what felt like days. When he was done, he figured he'd go try to find where everyone else ran off to. But for right now, he was fine as-is.
