This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.
My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

Hey, I feel you there. I was lucky to have a couple days off in a row to write all this up. But I'm not usually a daily poster either. On your own time!
This is the new RP that I've been working tirelessly on for the last couple days. If you're interested in Pokemon at all, I suggest you give this a shot. Please read the first OOC post; it is basically the manual for this RP. From there, you can explore to your heart's content.
After much editing, I have finally completed everything needed to get this RP rolling. Your characters have both been approved and inserted into the opening OOC post. You can begin posting IC whenever you like!
I need to take a break. I may or may not post a character sheet later today. If I'm feeling frisky, I may even get my first IC character post up in the next day or two.
Regardless of how much I write, I will always try to log on at least once or twice per day in order to read what everyone has posted. That's when I will edit everyone's 'Official Stats'.
Name: Central City Location Type: Small City Pokemon Types: Normal, Flying, Bug, Grass, Water, Fire
Lore: Central city is one of the oldest cities in all the land. Legend has it, this town is home to the first ever Pokemon master. It is also the home to one of the worlds best known retired trainers, Thomas Rikon. Now elderly, Thomas passes his time making a trinket known as the "Battle Amulet"; he does not sell this item, but instead, donates them to the local Poke Mart. The population of this city does not grow very quickly. It's more of a tourist stop than a place to actually settle down.
The cobblestone streets of Central City stretch out unto fields of beautiful flowers and farm land. These fields are alive with Grass type Pokemon. The city and its surrounding farm lands are always alive with Normal type Pokemon. There is a river that runs from the north, bringing in wonderful array of Water type Pokemon. Surrounding the city on both sides are volcanic mountains with thick forests at their base. The forests host a variety of Bug type Pokemon. On bright sunny days, Fire type Pokemon will emerge from mountain side caves to frolic in the light. Flying type Pokemon typically nest in mountain side trees.
It is rumored that the mythical Pokemon Shaymin protects this land, keeping it vibrant and beautiful. A hand full of people have claimed to have seen Shaymin, but many believe these sightings to be false. Still, the rumor mill works its magic, bringing in trainers from across the globe hoping for just a a sight of this adorable Pokemon.
Central City Poke Mart
Located in the heart of Central City, you will find the town's quaint Poke Mart. While the inside has been completely refurbished to match the sleek styling of Poke Corp, the outside retains it's historical value and cozy charm.
*Poke Ball: 5 points: Beginner Item - Use this item to catch bottom tier Pokemon in your area.
*Rare Candy: 5 points: Beginner Item - Use this item to raise the level of one Pokemon.
*Potion: 5 points: Beginner Battle Item - Use this item to heal 10 HP of one Pokemon.
*Elixir: 5 points: Beginner Battle Item - Use this item to replenish 10 PP of one Pokemon.
*Great Ball: 20 points: Skilled Item - Use this item to catch middle tier Pokemon in your area.
*Evolution Shard: 25 points: Skilled Item - Use this item to evolve a Pokemon into their middle tier form and boost their level by 3.
*Super Potion: 10 points: Skilled Battle Item - Use this item to heal 20 HP of one Pokemon.
*Burn Heal: 5 points: Skilled Battle Item - Use this item to cure a Pokemon from 'Burn'.
*Hyper Potion: 25 points: Expert Battle Item - Use this item to heal 50 HP of one Pokemon.
*Battle Amulet: 50 points: Skilled Special Item - Let a Pokemon hold this item. Tag me @Balthazar007 in a IC post when you would like to give and/or take this item from your Pokemon. If they battle while holding this item, they will gain two levels at the end of the battle instead of one.
Central City Mission Board
In the town square, you will find a large double sided cork wall underneath a grand gazebo. On both sides of this wall there are stylized posters stapled against it. On each of these posters, you can see the many requests that the city's inhabitants have left for brave Pokemon trainers. Citizens can submit there mission postings to city hall, just across the street. Trainers can then tear these postings off the wall and bring them back to city hall in order to accept the mission at the front desk.
Mission Statement: We embrace the art of battling. Our Pokemon grow strong by our side, and we become closer for it! We vow to always treat Pokemon and each other with respect.
Organization History:
Thomas Rikon was said to be a Pokemon master long ago. Rumor is that he caught over 300 different Pokemon including two of the three Legendary Titans. Some say that he never felt the sting of defeat. Others tell tale of rare occasions that he was defeated. One thing is known for sure, he was the best Pokemon trainer of his day.
Thomas became tired in his old age. Eventually, he no longer had the energy to go out battling every day like he did in his youth. Thomas began to feel bad for his vast collection of Pokemon as too many of them simply waited, never being brought out to play. Feeling this guilt, Thomas retired from battling all together. He released his entire collection of Pokemon, all except for his beloved Pidgeot, the first Pokemon that he ever caught. Pidgeot spends most of its time outside of it's Poke Ball, right by Thomas's side.
Shortly after Thomas retired, he started League Prime. He hoped that this league would help future generations of trainers discover the beauty of battle. Nothing warms his heart more than watching young trainers and their Pokemon grow as a team.
Bonus Points
1 Point: Whenever you battle, all posts within that battle will earn you one extra trainer point. This also includes wild Pokemon battles.
5 Points: Whenever you finish a battle with another player, you will gain these 5 extra trainer points.
10 Points: Once a "Day" you will earn 10 extra trainer points when you defeat another trainer in a battle.
Membership Requirements: You must have caught a Pokemon and have been in a battle with either another trainer or a wild Pokemon. Simply tag @Balthazar007 in an IC post if you meet these requirements and would like to enter this organization.

Against the left wall upon entering the League Prime head quarters, you will find a wall full of postings. People from far and wide submit mission requests to the beloved Thomas Rikon in hopes that his feisty band of battling trainers can help them solve their unique problems.
Just submitted a character. Do we start off with a Pokemon, or do we catch our starters in the RP?
You will be catching your first Pokemon with a free Pokeball. In fact, you can add that to your inventory now. And you will only be able to catch the lowest form of a Pokemon with 3 stages.
Also, you can only catch Pokemon that have their type(s) covered in that locations available types. For instance, Bulbasaur is not available as a starter Pokemon because it is also a Poison type and that type is not found in this location.
I'll restate all this clearly in the original OOC posting. I'm still working on it now. When I finish it, I will create the opening IC post. After that, all approved characters will be free to explore!!!
It'll probably take me a few days. I'm not busy for the rest of today. So I expect to make significant progress.
This fan based RP was born in the depths of 2016's Autumn. The leaves were falling, and Pokemon Go had just hit the market. Since that day, we have grown steadily and have developed a strong core group of writers. Sometimes we take breaks due to life, but we always come back, because we all love Pokemon, and we all love writing.
In short, this RP is like a giant blank canvas. Our members drive the plot, create the settings, and control all the characters as far as the eye can see. "Pokemon: New World" is a living breathing community, self-sufficient and ever changing. Anyone can join and bring something new to the table.
As this RP has grown, and life has demanded more of my time, I came to the realization that I couldn't manage this RP alone. That's where @Dusksong comes into play. Dusksong has dedicated a massive amount of effort to this RP world (more than myself at times). This earned her the title of Co-GM.
