Karrablast took a massive hit, but with a strong set in it's jaw, it got back on it's feet. Liz smiled to herself at this Pokemons sheer grit.
"I am going to be honest Hephaestus, I wasn't actually planning on capturing this pokemon. But after seeing how strong he is, I think he will make a fine edition to our team!!" Chimchar grunted his agreement, Liz took out a pokeball and tossed it at the clamping pokemon.
"H-hello... M-my name is... Luna... D-do y-you mind if I... Warm myself up?" she asked in a polite, freezing tone.
"...You're Two Wins to Two Losses. That's nothing!" Throwing Olotah's pokéball ahead of them, Rin raced forward. Swiping the standard pokéball out of the air as it released the Painter Pokémon, Rin used their other hand to try and stretch their binder. Rin definitely wasn't supposed to excerise in it, but dammit! This was important! "Come on, Olotah! We've got work to do!" The Smergle nodded cheerily. If only he had time to capture his trainer's ferocity in art. It truly was a force of nature on its own right. Then again, for all the naive pokémon knew he had simply mistakenly assumed the two were going to battle. 'Maybe this work would be artistsic?' With renewed excitement Olotah jumped forward, happily waving their tail as he did.
Liz was excited, a wild Karrablast just stood up and challenged her to a battle. Anxious for a battle, Liz grabbed her pokeball.
"Alright, Hephaestus, let's get stronger together buddy, show me the fire!!" Chimchar appeared fire building in his mouth.
"Woah, hang in there girl!" Just how many over-leveled Furrets would Rin run into? They could feel their gut twisting seeing Anusobeket half taken out by just one attack. Rin wasn't used to losing and they certainly didn't like the feeling of it! This was supposed to be their journey to becoming Champion! Weren't they supposed to mow down Sentrets and Rattata rather than encounter two Smergles and two Stalker Furrets? "If this is your idea of humbling me, it won't work," Rin yelled petulantly to the universe itself. Rin brought their face back from its position of staring at the sky to look at the battle in front of them. "Use Water Gun again, Anu!" If Rin was going to lose, it'd be with the same stubborn fire they always had in their eyes. They would not be forced into learning a lesson any time soon. Regretfully.
Liz and Bayleef both ran excitedly over to the Pokeball. Liz picked it up and smirked at it. She patted Chloris on the head and recalled her into her pokeball.
Good job my friend, we got a new partner, I think the name Enyo is very fighting for this trouble maker. She thought to herself as she finally got to enter the dry grassland.
