This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.
My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.
@Darkmoon Angel Also, you should have used your serious boost and not your secret technique. Since you've used your secret technique against Bakuto already, it's only going to boost your defense by 1.5(x + 0.5X).

Well, this RP is going to be played fast and loose, with a lot of it happening in Discord. So I won't set a limit until it starts feeling like too much for me to keep up with. Probably around 10 people.
So I had a dream last night and it made a strong connection between two of my favorite fandoms: Jak and Daxter (which I played through about 1,000 times) and Pokemon (which I still play and GM role-plays for to this day).
It might seem weird to mix the two, but on closer look, I don't think it's weird at all. I always loved the unique environments in the Jak and Daxter games, and I think they go well with all the various Pokemon.
So my idea is this, if you have the Jak and Daxter trilogy at home and want an excuse to pick the game back up, I can give you a reason to do so. In this proposed RP, a mysterious force is brining Pokemon to the Jak and Daxter world. Your character will be a part of the new crimson guard, but they will be a part of a new division called the "Monster Hunters".
To play in this RP, all you have to do is tell me where your character is at and what they are doing. Then I'll say what Pokemon appears. Technically you don't even NEED to play the video game. You could play from memory. But it might enhance the experience.
Trying to conserve his energy, Bakuto charged his opponent at normal speeds. In fact, by the standards set in the last few matches, he was moving slow. Still, they were moving many times faster than the normal human could ever dream of. In fact, many people in the audience liked this better. For once, they could follow the action with their eyes.
When Bakuto's fist hit Angela's skin, he felt the pain in his hand. Then he felt her counter attack a serious punch, right to the jaw. There was no going back now though. She wasn't letting him get away.
The two of them continued this exchange of blows. It was strange, Angela blocked a fair number of hits, but many of Bakuto's attacks landed right on the mark. But it didn't matter. It was like a normal person punching a brick wall. Once Bakuto realized what was going on, he took a quick jump back to regroup.
Angela takes 1 damage from Bakuto's attack and looses 30 power to exhaustion. She has 35 health left and a remaining Power level of 55. Bakuto takes 28 damage from Bakuto's attack and looses 18 power to exhaustion. He has 76 health left and a remaining Power Level of 43.
Angela's running approach had everyone in the stadium on their toes, trying to look around the person in front of them. Nobody wanted to miss even a second of the action, especially when every second mattered so much. The anticipation grew quickly as she approached her motionless target.
Then Bakuto disapeared from his spot, creating more after images that he had become known for. He was using his special technique right out of the gate! He then went to land a powerful hit to his opponent's gut... and it worked. Spit shot out of Angela's mouth as she fought the urge to double over in pain.
Bakuto wasn't going to stop there though. He would attack hundreds of more times, while Angela recovered from the initial blow. She stood her ground. Blocking some attacks, and weaving out of the way of others, but the vast majority landed. She even managed to land a few counter blows, but nothing decisive.
The clash seemed to come to a temporary end when Bakuto jumped backward to catch his breath. He had expended so much energy, but by the look on his face, he felt it was worth it. Angela stood there arms still up in a defensive stance and bleeding from numerous orifices. Compared to her opponent, she had barely moved. She couldn't afford to sit back any longer...
Bakuto takes 6 damage from Angela's attack and looses 49 power to exhaustion. He has 104 health left and a remaining Power level of 61. Angela takes 74 damage from Bakuto's attack and looses 25 power to exhaustion. She has 36 health left and a remaining Power Level of 85.
@Double I have a lot in mind for this next story arch. Have you been keeping up with the battle mechanics? I'm sure you have since you've been reading along.
