Bio

I am a Roleplayer with an interest in science fiction and fantasy, with a preference for Casual. I have been roleplaying for several years, and have even taken a stab at running a few RPs.

Outside the Guild, I am an Australian science student, gamer, musician and roleplayer (that's right, IRL too).

@Kho, stats are correct for Teknall.

@Kangutso, there exists a shortage of elemental domains, and portfolios in physical, natural things.

Atlantis. Maybe once day. But a bater system won't last long. This world we created my be filled with magical creatures, but reality will have to kick on at some point. The Capital is a city of heros and hain, they may not need a currency. But Ventos and Xerxes will be in need of one soon.

Also, we have buildings and boats but no units of measurement? Everything thats been built so far is just a bunch of slapdash. We have knowledge gods and forge gods but none of them has come up with math?

On an unrelated note.

Can you imagine if we lived on the barter system now?

We've barely invented agriculture. People live in huts and tents (or caves, if you're a Rovaick). Boats are rafts or hollowed out tree trunks. Our civilisation god has been stuck dealing with other business and is only just catching up, our knowledge goddess is MIA, and our physics god is in the furthest reaches of the Universe. The High Lifprasillians probably have units of measurement, otherwise building the Capital would have been impossible, but besides that yes, everything built thus far by mortals has been just a bunch of slapdash. Some of it is very good slapdash, though.
In terms of architecture, our two cities are already reaching the Atlantis point. However, this was due to direct divine intervention (Illunabar and her Muses designed and built the Capital. Jvan space-dropped fancy buildings into Xerxes). Otherwise, I think we're okay.

A corollary to what I said earlier about metal: the High Lifprasillians seem to already have metal, but they've spent their existence heavily influenced by divinity, so it makes sense that they're a little more advanced than the rest.

@Kangutso, short and to the point. I like it. I'll get a PM out. @Kho, you said you wanted in on the battle?
@LokiLeo789, On one hand, Teknall would be glad to contribute to a budding new civilisation. On the other hand, Teknall has a rather strong sense of morality and will be very much opposed to Amartia. That is, if he finds out that Amartia is the sin-ridden spawn of Vestec who simply wants everything for himself. So when you call upon Teknall, tread carefully.

Also, not sure how ready the world is for currency. Metal hasn't been invented yet (give me a post or two, though. It's coming up soon). Numeracy is as basic as possible, for we don't even have mathematics. Writing hasn't been invented among the mortals as far as I'm aware, although we do have communication via pictures (thanks to Phantasmogoria) (Tounic calligraphy doesn't count).

I believe that, before promissory notes or formal currency, wealth was traded in commodities. So rather than having, say, 50 dollars, you would have 50 grams of silver. Lacking precious metals, you can trade in grain or meat or hides or wood etc, or in precious gems (although that might be a bit valuable for commoners). Currency needs to be worked up to.
EDIT: This is confirmed by the Wikipedia entry Vec found above.
Can someone give me a site to upload an img to? Made a couple of shameful edits to the map in paint...

Images can also be uploaded to roleplayerguild. To find it, go to your profile; scroll down past your status, bio and arena stats; of the four tabs there, click Images; create an Album with the blue button; enter that album to upload an image.
One thing which irks me about the conclusion to the Grot battle is that, rather than let the healing angels who are already there heal the wounded, the wounded are instead carried off to some distant place hundreds of kilometers away.

It's a small thing, and not a critical detail, but I'm pedantic enough to notice it.
@BBeast

Depending on how long Teknall takes, they may already be getting it. You told them 'USE HEAT' and while Gruik was there.

Now the Goblins are all gonna hear about it, be super excited, and start messing around with heat and metal. So many will die. SO MANY. Because they're stupidly experimental. But they'll figure it out.

In IC time, I think it might take about a month for Teknall to send Conata. He's not slow in action.
@Dawnscroll, welcome back. I hope you are feeling better.

Let me recount for you what Teknall has done since around Phantasmagoria.

Gerrik has been made a hero.

Teknall sees Vestec unleash the Hordes of Chaos, and makes moves to stop it. He sends a bunch of Urtelem to cripple one (this event was never actually posted due to complications, but we assume it happened off stage). He convinces Zephyrion to mobilise elementals against Vestec's elementals. And he arranges for Gerrik to fortify a village to stop another horde.

Vestec makes his Avatar Violence and sends it to the horde Gerrik will face. Teknall flips out, and when confronting Vestec he minces his words and makes the wrong deal. Now he owes Vestec a favour in exchange for some extra time.

To deal with Violence, Teknall enlists the help of Kyre, who will make an avatar; and Yang'Ze, Ul'Yang's Avatar.

Teknall then goes into his personal plane, which started with just a red dwarf when he entered. When he left again, it had gained a space station workshop and a Dyson swarm, and he had built Goliath, his killer robot Avatar.

At some point in the future when Kangutso pulls his act together and makes his Avatar post there will be a massive Avatar brawl where a whole bunch of Avatars (not only the three mentioned above, but also two Avatars made by Toun, Majus and Minus, as well as a surprise mystery guest by Kho) will come and fight Violence.

In other news, Teknall promises to give metal-working to the Rovaick. TO EVERYONE, THE ROVAICK DO NOT YET HAVE METALWORKING. THAT COMES LATER. PAY ATTENTION.

Teknall and Illunabar work together to create two demigods: Conata, the demigod of Toil (Metalworking), played by Mutton; and Kinesis, the demigod of Crafting (Machinery), played by Hygswitch.

And that brings us up to the current era, as far as my activities are concerned.

You live in a world of myth, just make a magical door/bridge/cave that connects to the moon.

You tell that to the guy who built a space station and a Dyson Sphere in his backyard? Portals are practically cheating. Where's the fun in that?
@LokiLeo789, demigods don't get Free Points. Otherwise, decent post.
