@Mahz, with characters, remember that often posts may contain multiple characters, and sometimes even multiple authors, so keep that in mind when you eventually attempt to implement it.

Note: One charactere has no Might this Turn. That is because the stat sheet was not updated. Lack of update will result in a default to zero from now on - I took the time to update all those that were not updated bar one, I'll most likely not be doing that again in future.

Also Note: Fate's Might pot received some MP from two demigod NPCs. This was a purely arbitrary decision on my part - their Might was getting too high for my liking, and it can create issues given the fact that both characters are under one (unpredictable) player's control.

I should probably voice my opinion on this. While probably an effective motivator for updating the stat sheet, I feel that negating all might is a disproportionately large response. In doing this you arbitrarily cripple player characters, reducing the capacity of the player to interact with the world.

Also, unless you discussed this with him before hand, it is probably quite unfair on Cyclone to do this to him without warning.

As an apology for a post where the description and pacing were awful, I'll work on the required sheets today.

Here is the first, elaborating hain body language a bit more. This will be in the hain body language hider on Toun's character thread.

Affection and Hands

Physical intimacy between hain are similar to humans in many ways. Holding hands, hugs, holding arms around shoulders, etc. all signify a closeness, whether familial, deep friendship, or romance in varying degrees. Though the hands alter the execution.

Hain beaks are too impractical for kissing like humans do. Instead of this, hain mutually bring a hand each to the mouth of the other. This comes from the hain instinct to hand-feed their children. Holding the fingers shallowly in the mouth is most common, and biting harder or thrashing occurs with high passion.

The significance of hand-feeding extends to deliberately laying hands on the body of another hain. If done for no other reason, it is a slightly greater sign of affection than usual. Laying a hand on a personal area, such as the face, holds the significance of a kiss on the cheek.

As with any body language, context also plays a role. Laying hands on another as part of labour, fighting, emergencies, or other situations generally does not carry affection, though the regular room for misinterpretation is ever-present.

A simpler exception to human shows of affection is bringing their heads close together. Again, hain beaks make touching foreheads together uncomfortable. The equivalent in hain body language is to rest the sides of the head together with the beak over the shoulder of the partner. Just like with humans it tends to be reserved for deep affection. From this position, hain have the closest view of their partner's eyes.

This is about the limit I will probably provide as canon for anyone trying to write hain fanfics for some goodness-forsaken reason.

Hello!

No doubt some of noticed me stalking this Roleplay (,as I've noticed some counter-stalking operations,) and I would like to announce an announcement announcing my desire to join this Roleplay. I have trudged my way on through the IC section, relying mostly on summaries I do not have that much free time I assure you, and as this idea is something I have thought before would be fun, and now see this as an exemplar case of such a roleplay. In addition considering my greatly increasing availability of time in the coming months for relatively obvious reasons, I believe now would be an opportune moment to do so.

I am aware of the wiki, and have read through the OP and subsequent post a few times but I will not claim thorough knowledge until I fully prepare with a completed CS. Presuming, if I may, to follow the subsequent protocol and post my idea for a demigod.

My idea would be a demigod of the domain of motion and the portfolio of animation, taking a non-hominid form, and with the parentage of Teknall and Zephyrion if @Cyclone and @BBeast are amenable to it.

We can consider the specifics of the parentage as you flesh out the character. Zephyrion's in a bit of an interesting situation at present, although that might be just the catalyst needed to form a demigod. If we can work out a decent plan, then that would be an agreeable arrangement.

One question @Kho likes to ask is this: How might your character get involved in a story arc?

For the few people that read my dev journal: Do yall have any examples of the most frequent searches you do or would do if the Guild supported it?

I'm also working on a simple tag search.

I use the search system pretty much solely for searching for posts within a single thread. I quite like how that search is. It is quite capable of tracking down particular posts when I need to find them.

I can't speak for searching across the forum, though.

@Double Capybara, a few are planted in the Celestial Citadel, with metal pots to give them colours. This was the aforementioned gift to Ilunabar. Otherwise, I have not made any use of them yet.

@Muttonhawk, I have another one. Slightly different feel, with less ill-at-ease feeling, but still plenty of mystery, and more instrumental, so might be useful for something.
