The look on the girl's face said all she needed to know about her reaction to what Lillian had just said. Typical Americans. You don't speak their language, you might as well be speaking Chinese to them. Lillian rolled her eyes as she didn't budge a single inch. Apparently it didn't get through that thick, American skull of her's. Better yet, much to her dismay, the girl actually sat down and got a little closer to her than she would've liked. The Brit instinctively backed away from the American's rather disruptive presence. She was way too close, and way too comfortable.

Then, the girl started going on a tirade about her family and whatnot. Is this really how it worked in America? The louder the are, the more respect you must be commanding? No wonder Trump was on Twitter so often. Clearly, he had a lot of power based on how much he tweeted and how much he talked. Guess this girl was one of those Trump types. The more she talked, the more Lillian started to dislike her. She looked at her, but internally she was imagining things like shooting her or stabbing her or pushing her off the railing nearby. Anything to get this loud-mouthed girl out and away from her.

Then, there was the small thing about her family. All this flexing was bothering Lillian. Clearly, she didn't know what Lillian came from as well. The only thing on Lillian's mind right now was having this lady shut her fucking piehole. She was bold. Lillian liked that, but she really didn't like this girl overall. Her name wasn't Clementine or Annabelle, damn it. She wasn't that British. As she continued talking, Lillian had discovered that this girl was named Ava. "I came here because I chose to. Simple as that. But, what does it matter? Not like you know how to listen and remember things, anyway." The British girl cleared her throat, "And it's not Annabelle or Clementine, it's Lillian."

Upon hearing a voice, Lillian looked up from her screen to see that someone had the audacity to sit at the same table she was sitting at. She looked around and saw plenty of vacant tables. It was odd. Why did she come to this table out of all of the ones in this area, or in this library, even? Her brown eyes were practically drilling a hole into the girl that had just arrived. Did some force push her there? Was something or someone pushing her there? Either way though, she'd have to survive this interaction. It'd be the first of many at this university, anyway.

Upon listening to what she had to say, it was more up her alley than she had previously anticipated. Lillian honestly thought that the words that would be coming out of that girl's lips would be something completely irrelevant. She was absolutely ready to get up and ditch her. She didn't have a qualm with abandoning her. There were thousands of students here and crossing one of them would be the least of her worries. But, a complaint about the English Composition class she just so happened to be looking at. Nosy, nosy. Lillian wasn't too fond at how someone was looking at her screen and violating her privacy - but at least someone else understood her pain. The girl did have a point, though. Gatsby was pretty pretentious, and so was Holden.

"I guess. Gatsby is just a beta male, he hasn't a single idea that whatever he's on about is rubbish. These books are elementary, it's complete " Lillian rolled her eyes and tapped her pen on her computer, before listening to the rest of what the lady had to say. "Listen, I'd be careful about what you say," Lillian pointed her pen at the girl she was conversing with, "Some of these trust fund babies could ruin your life. And I mean ruin it." Honestly, Lillian was a little offended, but at the same time, a little impressed that this girl had such bravado and bravery to openly insult the rich. She was a member of that club, so she knew firsthand what would happen when they were crossed. Depending on how bad the offence was, things could've gotten wild.

Lillian folded her arms and placed them on the table, leaning on them and staring into the girl's eyes. After a few exchanged words, Lillian had decided she had enough of this shite. Taking her pen, she made an up and down gesture toward the girl, squinting.
"Listen, I think it'd be best for both of us if you bugger off things get out of hand. I'm not interested in listening to whatever's coming out of your gob, and I'm definitely not in the mood to think about whatever's already come out of it." Lillian flashed a smile as real as Kim Kardashian's rear, "Now, please, sod off."

new bee who dis
good lord, 2 posts within 8 hours. What alternate reality mumbo jumbo have I found myself in today?

the mythical "productive bee" has shown up
Upon hearing if she could drive, even in her one-legged state, Liberty was shocked. The audacity of his request was ludicrous. She rolled her eyes and climbed in the car. It was her right leg, too. So accelerating was going to hurt like a motherfucker. It would've been better if it was her left leg. Sure, the car's gears would've grinded but she would've been able to control the throttle delicately instead of going from 0 and 100. It was better to go from 0 to 100 instead of 0 and 100.

Clambering in, Liberty shifted into first and started moving forward, the car lurching forward with every gear that she climbed in. "To the bank!" She declared, as she pulled out onto the streets, the car moving relatively sluggishly.

So far, this university thing wasn't much different. The visits to the campus hyped this thing up like it would be a life changing experience. But so far, it wasn't jack-fucking-shit. Everything felt the same. There were cliques, professors being overbearing and putting restrictions on what you can and cannot do. All the classes the advisors put Lillian- or "recommended her" to be in, were things she had taken before. But for whatever reason, her credits didn't transfer and she had to do this mumbo jumbo all over again. Her dreams of leaving calculus and physics behind for the rest of her life would have to remain as they were for now. Her major didn't even involve these things, but the stupid education system made her retake these classes. On top of it, she was also placed into an American History class, as if Lillian really needed to learn about the country she was merely going to school in. Not like she was a citizen. Why did she need to know it? Why did it matter if she needed to know how many wars this country has been in or what President Trump has been up to?

Why did anything she was taking right now matter? She was here to get a degree and move on with her life. No longer did she want to derive the function of the graph. Why? That was the word of the week for Lillian. Everything she had experienced so far seemed like it was straight out of a shitty teenage drama you'd find running on the CW. Overhearing some murmurings, she learned about a website that contained rumors and secrets all across campus. Who was even behind it? If it was anything like the show, then it was definitely some rich uppity kid with nothing better to do than to ruin some lives. Just... why? The more she found out about the school, the more it felt like she was living in a teenage story instead of actually coming here and getting something done with her life for once.

At the moment, the British girl was set up in the school's library. Tucked away in the corner on one of the highest floors, she was sitting in front of a screen and scrolling away on whatever website she was on. It was nice to get away from the population that this school held. Everyone she saw seemed to be the same. Ugg wearing, Starbucks drinking, and bun-wearing girls were all over the place. She despised those sorts of people. They followed the crowd and typically had no brains of their own. It was sad, really. The men weren't much different, either. Unlike the women, they actually had some variety, but not the good kind. There were either roided up, braindead frat boys, or bone-thin, brainy nerds. It was an odd phenomenon that she had observed, but it was living up to what she had seen on television.

Taking a sip from her cup, she sighed and pulled up a syllabus for her English Composition class. At least this was something that Lillian actually enjoyed. Looking at the required reading, she had found out that all the books they were going to break down were all things she had read before. "The Great Gatsby", "Catcher in the Rye", and "Fahrenheit 451". What exactly was this class? Those were all books she read in secondary school. For crying out loud, no wonder she had gotten into this school. The system here definitely wasn't shit compared to what she did back home.
Lingering in the loading bay, Kimberly eyed the blacked out Ford Focus RS as she saw some suited men holding briefcases come toward her and her husband. After Ross had arrived, they were sitting ducks out there. So much for punctuality. What exactly was in the briefcase? And why was there so much extra effort that went into this? The drivers had to take care of much more than just driving and that was particularly odd. Kimberly hadn't been on many jobs, admittedly, but she knew that most of the time, her job was driving and driving only. She didn't have to interact with people, nor did she have to do any shooting if she had to do so (not that any of the jobs she was involved in actually had people shooting).

The suited men came up to Ross and Kimberly and handed them a briefcase each. The briefcase was heavy, as proven by Kimberly's arm sinking as possession of the suitcase changed. Lifting it up and clutching it to her chest, a suited man also threw some actual shoes down onto the floor in front of Kimberly. They looked like $10 running shoes from Walmart, but they were a hell of a lot better than the heels she was currently wearing. Taking off her heels, she slipped on the assigned pair of shoes and looked back at the big suited man. He looked at the both of them, possibly drilling a hole into their soul behind those sunglasses of his. "Instructions are in the car. Good luck." Good luck? Why would they need good luck?

Kimberly looked to Ross and shrugged, before going to her car. She put the briefcase into the floor in front of the passenger seat, and her chucking her heels behind her. Pressing the engine start button, she heard the 2.3L Ecoboost engine roar to life. Giving it a couple revs, the customized GPS system also initialized and put the destination they were due to be. Putting the car into first gear, she pulled out of the loading bay and onto the Strip, strangely.

At this time of night and year, the Strip was relatively less busy. That didn't mean they had a smooth ride there though. They were stuck in traffic because the red light in front of them lasted a long time. They needed to make a turn up ahead onto West Tropicana Road. Keeping her arm on the gear lever, Kimberly sighed and continued inching along on the street. Watching the light up ahead turn green, she sighed a breath of relief. She followed the car in front of her to the intersection, and as soon as she cleared the crosswalk she made the turn and floored it down Tropicana. The car bellowed down the relatively vacant street. Luckily, it was all greens the whole way and soon they had made their way away from the strip.

The Strip was nice to look at, but as a driver it was an absolute nightmare to get through. Constant jams and the flow of vehicles made things more difficult than Kimberly would've liked for a destination like Vegas. Getting more toward the outskirts of the city, Kimberly was starting to wonder why exactly the two were employed to do something so simple. All it consisted of was getting from point A to point B. Turning onto another street, the street was actually vacant this time.

It wasn't Vegas vacant. It was true vacant. Going down the street, Kimberly went at a brisk pace. She was in 3rd gear. It was much too quiet for a job like this. Why employ Ross and Kimberly for something so simple? Her gut didn't like it. Suddenly, a pair of lights showed up facing them. It was on the other side of the street, but for whatever reason it seemed to be getting closer to her in relation. Not going past her, but going toward her car. Kimberly then realized what was going to happen and floored it, creating distance between her and Ross as the Chevrolet Suburban missed its target and went up on the sidewalk.

Shifting down a gear, Kimberly peeled off and started to barrel down the street. Ross's headlights were diminishing, but many other headlights replaced his. She took a peek in her side mirror, and they looked like a mix of Chevrolet Tahoes, Dodge Chargers, and Audi A4s. Pulling the handbrake, she ducked into an alley nearby to create some separation. As her car went down the alley, she grabbed her phone out of her clutch and rung up Ross. Putting it on speakerphone, she waited for him to pick up.

"Ross? I think we're being chased right now. I don't know by who, but there's a lot of them." She said worriedly, before pulling out of the alley and onto another street. "Split. I'll meet you at the rendezvous once I shake 'em." The driver hung up and continued to peel down. Watching two Audis try to create a roadblock up ahead. Kimberly immediately found the gap in between the cars and hit it like a running back, screaming away from the cars that tried to create a roadblock. It was going to be tricky figuring out a way to shake these people. Her car was loud and there wasn't any place she could hide in. Didn't help that these people were persistent as well.
