Location: His Room > Grimaldi's Pizza
Interacting With: Everyone

Alec had been lucky enough to not be directly affected by the virus. Nobody in his family was affected, at least as far as he knew. He knew that it was all luck, and that he had to be grateful that his family came out unscathed. But, those thoughts were eating him up alive. He didn't like what it was doing to his mental health. The fact that any one of them could've just as easily succumbed to the virus and no longer be in his life was something that was going to haunt him. He tried to focus on the "what is" but he just couldn't stop thinking about the "what if", and quite frankly, it was eating him inside.

To try to distract him, he was reading up on background of this movie called "Black Panther". It was incredibly popular and it was catching momentum worldwide, especially among the African-American community. The cast was star-studded, and Alec was very happy with the cast save for one person. The problem was, for him at least, was his striking resemblance to one of the characters. He looked exactly like Killmonger with a weird haircut, and that was what weirded him out. Why did this dude look so much like him? Out all of the actors that exist in the world right now, they just had to pick the one that looked just like him. Alec didn't like it. It weirded him out, and when it actually came out, he wasn't going to hear the end of being called "Killmonger". Kill. Killed just like his family would've been if they caught the virus. If they got killed then he might as well have killed himself.

Too dark. It was eating at him again. Alec had to get out of his room and to somewhere where he didn't have enough silence to think. He needed noise, he needed distractions. He needed Grimaldi's. Pizza was good. If he didn't want to deal with his feelings then stuffing them away with food was a perfectly acceptable way to cope with these feelings. He got up and put on a jacket to make himself a little warmer. Novembers in this area were always a little chilly, especially for Alec who didn't really like the cold.

Emerging from his room, he slipped on his classic Nike Air Force 1 Breds and went on his way to Grimaldi's. All that was on his mind was pizza. He was weird, though. Apparently he was the only person who liked their pizza with pepperoni and sausage. It was such a basic combo yet so unpopular. Weird. Putting his hood on and stuffing his hands in his jacket pockets, he made his way to the pizza shop at a brisk pace. The longer he had with himself the more likely he was going to descend down that spiral again, and he didn't want to be in that dark place. If only he had time to run. Running was going to help him cope for damn sure.

Pulling up to Grimaldi's, he opened the door and stepped inside. He saw a few friends nearby, which was nice. He went up to the counter and ordered the usual. Two slices of pepperoni and sausage with a bottle of Dr. Pepper. Taking a seat nearby, a blonde haired girl strolled in. He nodded his head to greet her before glancing back down at his phone. But, before long, another guy came in and made a scene as he arrived. Who was this guy? Was he a Logan Paul wanna-be? Watching him fall and make a fool of himself, he shook his head and scratched it. He damn sure was. But, he couldn't let this guy hang by himself. He got up and walked over to him, lightly kicking him on the leg before reaching a hand out to him.

"You okay there, bro? Looks like you had a tough fall there."

...the fuck?

CJ was thoroughly confused as to what he was doing standing at some Tokyo train station. He was told to go here, and there was not much more to it. But, why? Having his ticket in hand, he was looking up at the signs to direct him as to where to go. Pulling his luggage along, he was starting to get disoriented as to where exactly this part of the subway was. The cleanliness and straight-forward nature of a subway in Japan had actually managed to confuse CJ. Poor thing. He was stuck directly in the middle of the subway and was lost as to where to go. CJ didn't really have a good sense of direction.

Taking a shot, he chose a direction and went with it. He didn't realize that there were things pointing him to exactly where he was supposed to go. He just kept looking around at everything but what he was supposed to look at. What were you expecting? It was his first day at this magical school thing, after all. He also didn't spend much time in subway stations despite him being a native of Japan. It just wasn't something he had to deal with ever. Either he was on the base where everything was nearby, or he was taken by car. Simple as that, and boy did his experience show here.

If someone were to take a glance at him, someone would think that CJ was a 馬鹿外人 (baka gaijin), which wasn't really the case. He was just lost. CJ wasn't that dumb. It took another good while of walking before he was remotely in the area of the turnstile he was supposed to be at. Even going so far as to walk past it a couple times. Of course, CJ paid no mind to it simply because it looked so shady and there was absolutely no way such a prestigious school would have their students go through something so shady looking. It just wasn't right to him.

However, much to his dismay, there really was no other option than the shady turnstile. Why? The numbers and everything matched up, but why in God's name was it so shady-looking? He swore if he went through there, Sadako Yamamura was going to pop out of a nearby screen and do things he'd rather not think about to him. Well, he really did have no other option. CJ swallowed to himeslf. Sadako wasn't so bad. She was just a measly little girl. He could've taken her easily. He walked up to the turnstile, luckily catching it at a time where barely anyone was there. Much to his surprise, he was let through.

It was the best decision he had made today so far. It was like he teleported somewhere else. This place was cleaner than a whistle, brighter than his future, and more lively than Bourbon Street on Mardi Gras. He pulled his luggage close to him and sat down nearby. He was honestly so overwhelmed with the station that he just froze in his seat while he was trying to process everything. The stuff he was seeing... he was whiter than a ghost and his eyes looked like he had just seen one.

By god, Elena had done it! She had made it through thirteen years of school, and had come all of this way to finally walk the stage. It was a glorious day for the Beverley family, especially Elena. She had been looking forward to this day since her first step in Kindergarten. But damn, looking back now it all felt like a blur. From her first day of kindergarten, to middle school hijinks, to senior prom, to now. It all felt like a speck compared to now. Today, today was the biggest day of Elena's life. Nothing compared to today. There was nothing bigger in Elena's life than finally getting a piece of paper that proved she survived those years in school slaving away and memorizing shit she'll never use again in life.

That was it! Once she held that piece of paper, it was all over. High school was officially a chapter of her life that was finished. The cap was thrown in the air and there was that. So long! High school could kiss Elena's ass. She could care less about what happened at that wretched place. She was so glad that she was done with that place. Looking around for her parents, she was holding her against her chest before she finally located them. Locating the people that had supported her all through these years and pushed her to this day, nobody deserved more credit than Thomas and Rochelle Beverley. Hugging her parents, they patted her on the back. That was all that needed to be said about the love and bond that Elena had with her parents.

Elena had never smiled more in her life than she did today. She didn't smile this much when she decided to commit to THE Ohio State University. This meant a lot to her, it was clear. Taking a walk off the field with her parents, she had to do the obligatory photo-op with her relatives. She didn't have any siblings, but she had plenty of cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents who were all happy to see their beloved Elena succeed. Hugs, kisses, and enough leis on her neck to give her a good workout. It was hard for her to see but her dad was happy to take them off of her neck and into his arms. They would be laid out on her bed later.

There was no subsequent dinner though, everyone understood that Elena would much rather spend what little time she had left with her friends before they went off to college. Thus, they departed for a meal at her parents' restaurant and let Elena drive herself to Avery's. Finding her cute car in the parking lot by its lonesome, she got in and immediately put on Post Malone's "Congratulations" on her stereo system. It was perfect considering what had just occurred and what Elena had just accomplished. Ice Cube's "It Was a Good Day" would've worked too.

The drive to Avery's was as lit as Elena could've made it by her lonesome. The bass was strong enough to register on the Richter scale and set off car alarms. Her music could've been heard across the city. But Elena gave no shits. None at all. She was Elena Beverley, alumni of Lyle Content. No longer a student. She couldn't have cared less about what anyone else was thinking. This girl was celebrating from now to her first day at OSU.

Pulling up to Avery's, her arrival was tipped off by her deafeningly loud music, before shutting off abruptly after arriving. Getting out of the car, she made her way up the yard and into the house, ready to party the night away.

It was the middle of the night, half past two as her phone violently rumbled on her nightstand. Rousing the light sleeper awake, she cracked an eye open and looked at whatever caused the ungodly noise at this time of night. There was no good reason for things to be occurring at this time of night, nor was there anything to do. God have mercy upon whoever decided to send out whatever it was tha tmade her phone make this unholy noise way too early. However, upon reading the text, she quickly found out there was, in fact, something or someone to do.

Biting her lip, she smiled and quickly replied, before starting to get ready. Man, she had been asleep for quite a while now. It wasn't like she was already ready to see someone. Some preparation had to be in place first, before she'd make the trip there. It was about fifteen minutes before she had made her way to her impromptu appointment not too far away from her dorm. Hunter knew, she timed it herself and counted the amount of steps that she needed to get there.

Her appointment took about two hours, ultimately ending with her crashing at the venue because she couldn't have been assed to go all the way back. However, because she was crashing, she had to make her way back. Lucky for her, her and her host knew what to do. It wasn't Hunter's first time at the rodeo, to say the least.

At seven sharp, right after another session, she made her way out and rushed back to her dorm. Hopefully her roommate didn't notice that she was gone overnight. Luckily, Hunter had no obligations that day other than the party that was to occur later today. That just meant Hunter had more time to sleep.

Waking up by herself for once (shocking, I know), Hunter rolled out of her bed and checked her phone. It was about time to go to the beach and Hunter's eyes widened.

"Oh goodness..."

The one time she would've liked to be punctual, she overslept and missed her target. Typical. She started scrambling and darted out of the bathroom to get freshened up. There was no time to apply makeup, and she sure as hell wasn't going to risk jabbing herself in the eye with her eyeliner pencil in the car. She'd just have to make do with her bare, natural face like a regular person.

Coming back, she was fumbling for an outfit. The problem with having a taste like Hunter's was that she was very picky and particular about her outfits. It was showing right now. She was chucking shirts onto her bed. No way was she going to wear that shirt to the beach or that other shirt to the beach. It was simply unacceptable. Taking what felt like a decade later, she finally figured out an outfit. It was simple, but it would've had to do given the circumstances.

Getting dressed in a jiffy, Hunter got all of her belongings and darted out to where they were supposed to meet up. Looking down at her phone, she was trying to see if anyone was willing to give her a ride. But, according to the friend finder app, some were there already, which was a shame. However, there was someone who wasn't on the app who still had her car. It was that Rose fellow, yeah? Sighing a breath of relief, she walked up to the car, catching the redhead who was doing whatever.

"Hi! I'm so sorry! Are you going to the beach party? Do you mind if I catch a ride with you?"

@Altered Tundra Accepted so long as you fix that small spelling error and remove the Taylor Swift cover
👀

There was nothing left to do for the trapped driver than to brace and accept her fate. Watching the headlights get closer and closer, she was only accepting her fate. She knew that there was a good chance that she wasn't going to come out of this alive. Not in a car like this, or with these SUVs closing in on her at this rate. As they got close, she closed her eyes.

She only hoped that Ross was able to get away clean. But all she wanted him to do was to make sure Mia was going to be okay. She wanted her to grow up with at least one parent in her life. That was the only thing that she wanted if she didn't make it out of this.

Crash.

The seasoned racer two years out of graduating from Stanford was making her way to Willow Springs for an event that a friend of hers had organized. It was a car meetup/track day, which was right up Kimberly's alley. The sunny day in Southern California was definitely welcomed. A break from the gloominess and the cold, bitter winter was welcomed by all, especially the racer. Tearing down the highway in her Nissan Skyline GT-R, she was enjoying herself and the strangely open road that was in front of her. It wasn't like California to have such an open road, but she was going to take it anyway.

Suddenly, she saw an orange vehicle ahead of her in the distance. Some signs of civilization. Very nice. Kimberly dropped down a gear and floored it, quickly catching up to the orange vehicle. Upon a closer observation, she discovered that it was BMW M3 GTS. Kimberly smirked to herself. "AWD vs RWD. Oh boy!" She flashed her lights to the car, which was a universally recognized signal that someone wanted to race. Of course, the orange BMW accepted and responded with the unmistakable sound of the 4.4L S65B44.

Happy to oblige, she responded as well, her own 2.6L inline-six thundering throughout the highway as the two officially engaged in a race. To summarize the race, it was back and forth throughout, despite her having the advantage in pretty much every single way. This guy was talented. She needed to give this guy some of her respect. Keeping up with her was an incredibly tough task, let alone overtaking her and staying in front.

Once the race was over, she flashed her emergency lights and pulled over, the orange car following suit. Shutting the car's engine off, she let it cool down for a bit as she emerged from the vehicle. Her (very obviously dyed) red hair shined in the sunlight, which highlighted the half sleeve tattoo she had on her left arm. The young adult was clearly holding onto her youth very well, her soft, light skin also reflected quite a bit of light. Walking up to the hood of her car, she met the man halfway and the two met face to face for the very first time.

"That was one hell of a race... it's not everyday I get to race someone who can hang with me." She reached a hand out to show respect as well as meet the man officially, "I'm Kimberly. What's your name?

"Ross? That's a cool name! I suppose you don't have a sister named Monica? But anyway, it's good to meet you!"

Ever since that day, Kimberly's life had gone nowhere but up. The day she discovered she was pregnant in Japan, the day she narrowly escaped death also in Japan, the day Ross proposed to her in Italy, or even the day she gave birth to Mia Victoria Hartley in Scotland. It was all uphill and she wasn't going to let it end today. Not like this. There was absolutely no way she was going to go down without putting up the biggest fight of her life. But, there was a big chance that it wasn't going to be enough.

Kimberly had opened an eye. It was blurry to the point where she couldn't see anything clearly at all. Not to mention, the right side of her vision seemed to be completely gone. She had a broken orbital bone which was severe enough to the point where she could no longer see out of the right side. That was the least of her problems. The sheer force from the impact had given her a severe concussion. She couldn't hear much, and she definitely wasn't going to be able to recognize much either.

Taking a breath was one of the most painful things she had ever done. It was more than likely that one of her lungs had collapsed. If her ribs had created a laceration in her lung, she was going to have a ton of problems afterwards as well. Trying to move a bit, she wasn't able to. It wasn't because she was pinned in between her seat and the steering wheel, but it was because she had broken bones in all of her limbs and vertebral column in addition to how she couldn't feel her legs. She had fractured her left femur, and broke her right fibula, tibia, and patella as well as numerous broken bones in her feet as well. Her arms weren't in much better shape either. Both of her wrists were broken, her right radius and ulna were broken, and she had fractured her left humerus as well.

Quite frankly it was a miracle that she was able to regain consciousness like this. Kimberly was in the worst shape of her life. It also could very well be the last shape of her life. She slowly regained vision in her left eye and she was able to see up close. But she couldn't see much. The Yukons had broken their headlights in their maneuver. Kimberly could barely move. She was able to move a finger or two, but that was it for her. Her body was busy trying to fix itself internally for it let her move. Looking down on her, all she saw was red. Not the red of her dress, but the red of the fresh blood leaking out of the many lacerations she had throughout her body.

Shallow breaths. Sweet, short, and shallow. The only sound that could've been heard at this very moment was Kimberly struggling to breathe. Her raspy breaths. A cough revealed more blood, which meant that she was also bleeding internally. The amount of blood she was losing meant that she was going to be dead in a half hour or so if she didn't get any help, which the chances of that happening in time were very slim. She needed to know where her husband was. If she wasn't going to make it, and chances were that she very well wasn't going to, at least she could have the love of her life by her side one last time.

If she was going to go out, at least she was going to go out seeing one of the things she loved most in the world.
