They are Nemeroth's Chosen!
Nolan slid a new magazine into his big rifle. He worked the bolt to get a round into the chamber. He sighted in, he repeated Andrew's directions to make sure he had them clear, "6 5 0...at the gates...3 meters a second from the north you said...and...got them..." He reached up, adjusting some things on his scope. Took aim again, then fired, his round flying out about 2 seconds after Andrew's it hit the other man and made him do a really neat back flip, landing in a heap at the foot of a low wall. He worked his bolt again, moving his sight over to the other target. He bit his tongue abit, getting a good lead on the man, then sucked his tongue back into his mouth. He grinned evilly, and pulled the trigger again. This man's head and shoulder vanished as the round hit just below the neck. Nolan let out his breath, "Oops..."

The Canadian Sniper shifted his sight over to the five new targets, "Kill shots brother..." He sighted in, picking off another of the men, blowing off his leg, "Damn that show was low..." He worked the bolt, shifting over, and blowing the next tango down smoothly. "Nearing empty...gonna need a new mag after the next shot. The last two out of this group will be yours man." He sighted in on another runner. Then fired, he watched the bullet. The man must have been carrying something explosive, and his bullet set it off, because it tore him and one of the last two guys apart with a large explosion. Nolan hrmed, taking his eye off his scope as he cleared his rifle, "That was...something..." He let Andrew take the last shot as he scanned for more targets.

Victor stood in the courtyard. Having put his GMG on his back, not wanting to risk collateral damage to the team with the explosives. Instead he turned in a slow circle. His USAS12s in hand. Spitting those penetrator rounds around him in a hail of rounds. He purposefully made himself a very large target, pulling aggro on himself to keep it off the lighter juggernauts and off his fiance. He felt something ping off the back of his armor at one point. He turned to look down at 3 men, each wielding sledge hammers. One of them was muttering, "Not a good idea..." Over and over again. They all turned to run. Victor grabbed one of them by the back of his head, and drove him face first into the ground. Victor unsheathed one of his tomahawks, stepping forward and planting the blade of the axe into the knee of the second man. Leaving him squirming and screaming in pain. The last man was faster. Already running for cover. Victor pulled the large gunstock club out of it's sheath on his left thigh. Made a kneeling forward step and threw the club. The knife sized spike atop it glimmered as the club spun end over end. The knife spike slammed into the man's upper back, and he dropped, grunting in pain, no longer able to feel the rest of his body as the spike had severed his spine. Victor crushed the other two men under his boots as he strode over to the one with the club in his back. The big Norwegian/Mohican giant leaned down, "I'm going to leave you here...you're going to watch everything we do. You're going to witness it all. You shall tell the tale. And then, somewhere down the line. I'll come back for you. You won't be able to hide. You won't be able to run. Nor live a long full life." He ripped the club out of the man's back. Making sure he wouldn't bleed to death. Then dragged the man into relative safe cover where he could watch it all happen. Victor then went back to being a target. Firing accurately, keeping heads down, creating oppurtunities for everyone within.

Carl bunkered down beside his partner, sliding new rounds into his shotgun. Once loaded he put the tube on his back, and pulled up his LMG again. He peeked out of cover, "Keep up the fire man." He stepped up and clear of the cover. LMG nestled into his shoulder. Striding forward. Gunning down any that he could. He could feel rounds ping and kick off his armor, he thanked all goodness that none of it was .50 cal. But there was still rounds out there. He watched a hail of rounds come from the courtyard as Victor joined in on the two lighter Juggs to make their progress easier. He watched AQ and Tali fighters get ripped apart by the penetrating rounds. Carl got back into cover, and laid down cover for his British friend to push up, "Come on brother! Let's clear this out. I don't wanna be up here when gunfighters show up."

Close by, more or less, several Apache gunships, members of the slightly expanded Spear Flight, were buzzing back towards Bagram when a request by Command came through for them to divert and assist units in the mountains. The three choppers had swung in and made for the position. As they rolled up the valley, they could see gun fire, explosions and flames. One of the pilots whistling, "Wooo, look at that. Who ever these fellas are, they know how to party. Check for strobes. Let's help these guys out, push all enemy fighters out and towards the chinese border. Let the Chinese Army cook them off. Give them something to do." The chopper swooped overhead, then settled in to begin helping.
Howard grinned at brightly, "Obsession is not a huge problem when you think about it. I just want to be perfect. And to be perfect at my job, I'm going to need the latest tech. This is just another step in the right direction." He pocketed the bullet, setting it in one of his chest pockets. And was right about to step forward top get a better look at the new meat when his senses started to click. Someone else had just entered the room. It felt like that one time he had been stalked by a mountain lion in the Rockie Mountains. He thought he had been stalking a small herd of deer alone. Until he felt like there was something close by. Minutes had passed while he froze and watched his surroundings. Then he had seen the big female mountain lion, golden eyes gleaming, mouth slightly open in a feline smile. She knew she could have had him dead to rights. Howard had known he wouldn't have had a chance if she had wanted to get him.

This moment felt like that. But when he heard the soft whisper of Antoine's voice he just smiled. He'd been had.

He looked to the side, his keen eyes picking her out under that optical camo cloak. He nodded, "And I thought it was an accomplishment to see you without something like that. I'm really going to have to work at it. That or request a multi-spectrum scope....actually...that's not that bad of an idea." He hrmed, "Day, night, FLIR and Infared spectrums most like. Black and white hot for the FLIR. Would make it alot easier for those night missions." He rubbed his hands together, those long pianists fingers of his, so sure on the trigger, dancing against each other. "Time will tell."

He looked up at the monitor. Picking up a second mike. Looking over at Imran. The East Indian man nodded. Howard put the head set on and turned the mike on. He smiled as he spoke, "You have met our leader, Imran. I am Howard Davis, callsign Lasanga. I'm our marksman and sniper. I took the same test you see here several years back. You are now passing into my territory! The original course record was ninety five percent. Set by one of the first Scimitar members. I broke that record, setting a new one of ninety seven, then broke that again shortly after with an one hundred. Prove to us you can shoot. We'll be watching." He took off the headset. Then looked at Antoine and Imran, "A drink, one bottle of whiskey, the good stuff, says they don't break ninety two percent." He grinned, "And if they do somehow break my record. I'll take it back."
Would you be able to manage both of them? Go for it if you think you can.
Wooo wow, okay. Not my best post. But I got a little overboard with it even though it doesn't look it.

Something about writing for a 40k RP, you can lose yourself in the posts pretty easily.
Pot'Apher saluted Arios, slamming his own fist against his own breastplate, "Emperor's blessing and his strength in your arm brother!"

He was about to try and start joking with the Terminator armor clad marine when the orders came over the vox. As the orders were given he smiled, slamming his helmet down onto his head. And pointed at a waiting Thunderhawk. He rung up the assault squads on his his Vox, "Brothers, mount up." As the terminators mounted the Land Raiders, the Vanguard and their Assault troop peers jumped into the Thunderhawk. As the last assault marine jumped aboard Pot'Apher called forward, "Pilots! Get us airborne, and make for the front. Stay above the Land Raiders." The Thunderhawk blazed into the sky.

Moments later Pot'Apher pulled the side door of the Thunderhawk open. Grabbed a support spar inside the Hawk, then leaned out to watch as they flew over the battlefield. He hrmed, a smile on his face behind his helmet. He looked back at his Veterans, "Squad Pot'Apher. Look down there? What do you see? I'll tell you, decadence, disease, rage and lies. Those are the currency of Chaos. Each and every man, woman and creature down there has sold their soul to one of those aspects. And the only way to even give them a chance at redemption is to pre-empt their further corruption." He sent a mental command through his armor. The engines on his jump pack flaring into life, small blue flames blazing into life. "Ask no quarter, because they will not give it. Give no quarter, because they will ask for none of it! This is the day, where we bring the Emperor's light back to this benighted world. This is the day, that they die!" He motioned and the other side door, and the back door to the Thunderhawk boomed open. The Vanguard troops and the assault marines all stacking up at the doors.

Pot'Apher smiled then with all the true grit someone who has lived for hundreds of years can muster. He leaps out of the side of the Thunderhawk. He's followed close by the Assault squads and his own Vanguard squads. Ten thousand feet in the air, the marines descend like armored bombs. Feet first Pot'Apher falls. Firing his jump pack in small bursts to correct his descent.

As the Terminators began their attack, the Assault Squads arrived. Jump pack blazing the close combat marines slammed right into the midst of several unaware, unprepared groups of traitor infantry. The Terminators at a distance could have been manageable. These men would have had time to prepare for their likely end. But suddenly, it's like the sky cracked open and dropped a green clad thunderbolt right into their midst. Shouts of surprise went up, conflicting orders and men firing wildly, some hitting friendlies, some of those wild las-bolts hitting the ceramite of the Assault Marines. The Marines in their midst sprung into action as soon as they landed. In the span of the few seconds that it took for the enemy to fire wildly, the Vanguard and the Assault Marines already with weapons in hand began to take a hefty toll.
Is it safe to use a thunderhawk or three for the assault troops to use rather then a land raider or similar vehicle?

I have this post generating that could make use of them.
Gave you something to post too Path.

Might help you get into the mood.
Pot'Apher rose from his knees. Bowing his head in thanks to the priest as the little man walked off. Pot'Apher let out a long sigh as he stretched, then began to see to his weapons. The Tigrius Pattern bolter's machine spirit had been shown to be willing many times in the past hundreds of years since Pot'Apher had received it, the weapon was said to have been first used during the Horus Heresy. It was no kind of relic. But a tool, a weapon, something which to shed the blood of the corrupt, the heretic and the xenos. The Bolter's machine spirit and it's user know this, and they had an understanding along those lines. Neither would betray the other when it mattered the most. Next to be examined is the great Thunder Hammer a weapon he had been using for years now. And had been by his side for going on a century now. He attached a new power pack making sure it is fully powered and ready. The rest of his weapons are unsteathed and checked carefully everything would be ready. The rites of battle chanted as he went through every move. Asking for the Emperor's protection, his speed in battle, and his arm to fight true in his name.

As he finished his personal rites of combat, and the prescribed words taught to him time and again by the techmarines in the past, he noticed something among the many brothers standing, and waiting to go into battle. A Terminator, a bearer of the coveted Crux Terminatus. Looking his way. A smile bloomed across Pot'Apher's face once more. He nodded to the Terminator in greeting. The name of Arios ghosting into Pot'Apher's mind. Pot'Apher wasn't sure if he had fought beside the man in the past, but today they would go into battle together. He chuckled softly and called to the Arios the Terminator, "A fine day brother, is it not? When an entire company of Salamanders. Assault, Tactical, Vanguard, Terminators and Sternguard alike all prepare to do battle on our hated former brothers. To bring the wrath of Emperor's Astartus down upon them, like a bolt of fire from the Emperor's own hand." He bowed his head to the honored Terminator, "Pot'Apher, brother. That is my name. And I hope to share the field of battle with you shortly."
So then...

Uh...
