Bio

Just a small, fragile birdboy with a huge beak. I used to be Manapool, but we don't talk about those days. I have been here a while if you couldn't tell.

In all honesty, I am 25 and in a committed relationship outside of roleplay. I work as a cook who works nights. I'm a big fan of seeing people's food they make and learning about new foods if you ever want to share. I enjoy tabletop games, card games, and video games as well as reading comics in my spare time. Your typical nerd, you might even find me at conventions!

Most of the time I stick to Superhero groups and Play by post D&D here. I have admittedly begun taking far fewer rps. I prefer Fantasy and Superheroes as a genre but I find myself more and more interested in interested in Sci-fi settings too! My main fandoms are Fallout, Kenshi, and Marvel but I have a lot of niche interests like Hylics, Neopets, and Monster High. Do you have a strange fandom you want to rp? I am the kind to at least take a look at the source material!

These days I am closer to a low to mid Casual roleplayer. I want at least a paragraph from replies and don't mind dipping lower than casual if it fits the flow better. I am capable of writing decent long posts but expect me to take eons to reply. I also must warn you that I tend to lose a lot of steam in the winter months.

I knew it! Malkavian, I should have just assumed you had another personality
Who is Tokyopewpew? They are lurking and it scares me!
@mattmanganon I was imagining more of an Alpha 5 voice, but I will gladly make him an old man!

Party

Doc listened to the stranger speak about his username. It seemed like the typical explanation for why people use their specific gamer tag. At least, it was far from original. Sounds cool, nostalgia, it was just a good thing that they weren't sneaking their name and age in there. They mulled over just how often the birdman might have used this same username. They nodded as Geo explained the name's origins to not look like they were ignoring them, but Doc couldn't help but yawn again. It was subconscious, even if they didn't have to connect with their body.

"Don't worry, I've learned my lesson. I'm staying right behind you from start to finish." They stated firmly when they mentioned the need to retreat. The more Geo talked about losing starting gear, the more Doc deflated and lost their mojo. Doc had been struggling to get a new weapon, and it was hard work without some coin already available to them. Instead, they had to punch for poultry damage to get to the goal. They were close, but it had been grueling to say the least. They perked up a bit once Geo asked about the enemies.

"They wear baskets on their heads. They're just using clubs, but they're stronger than they look." They replied, holding a finger to their chin as they tried to remember as best as they could. Doc could hardly get a good look at the group that clubbed the poor healer to death efficiently.
"Uh, I think they were pretty squishy, though. I even managed to take one of them down," They added after further thought.
"Come to think of it, they're all pretty soft, not a lot of hit points and basically no armor."

The switch of topic from Doc's defeat to the new abilities they had seemed to cheer up the young shaman. His subtle smile had returned and he turned his attention to the masked figure by him as he talked.
"Oh yeah, I actually got a damaging one at level ten, but it cost a LOT of my mana" They said, enthusiasm in their voice which up until now was lacking. They were quick to catch themself, though:
"or, I think it's just magic points in this game," They corrected, before shrugging. "Force of habit."

"Oh yeah, what sort of techniques do you have, anyway. I haven't seen a spear warrior build yet. Mostly just sword and board," Doc eagerly asked, eyeing the weapon with earnest interest. Perhaps another toon of theirs would mimic this build; it certainly looked fun, but perhaps that was just Geo's energy. Doc's smile brightened once he hefted up into the air and fell back down, testing out a feature that appeared to be lacking.

As they marched on, Doc stopped them once they were a good way from town. A simple cobblestone road, worn and overgrown, had led them this way, where a steady river bisected a sprawling field of overgrown grass and low shrubbery. An equally worn stone bridge crossed the river. Once they were still, movement in the fields and nearby hills was more evident. Beggar bandits, simple men and women, usually wearing peasant clothes, and if they held any weapons, they were clubs, pitchforks, and other simple tools used for less than savory purposes.

Doc traced the river with their finger, slowly leading to its origin, which appeared to be from a cliffside in the massive mountains that surrounded the starting area they were in. he pointed to a massive waterfall that fell from hundreds of meters up before turning to Geo.
"The base is at the foot of that waterfall. I didn't see much, but they have a windmill and some fortifications. Standard bandit base stuff, really." They said before rolling their shoulders and jumping a bit in place, trying to reinvigorate themself.
