Bio
Just a small, fragile birdboy with a huge beak. I used to be Manapool, but we don't talk about those days. I have been here a while if you couldn't tell.
In all honesty, I am 25 and in a committed relationship outside of roleplay. I work as a cook who works nights. I'm a big fan of seeing people's food they make and learning about new foods if you ever want to share. I enjoy tabletop games, card games, and video games as well as reading comics in my spare time. Your typical nerd, you might even find me at conventions!
Most of the time I stick to Superhero groups and Play by post D&D here. I have admittedly begun taking far fewer rps. I prefer Fantasy and Superheroes as a genre but I find myself more and more interested in interested in Sci-fi settings too! My main fandoms are Fallout, Kenshi, and Marvel but I have a lot of niche interests like Hylics, Neopets, and Monster High. Do you have a strange fandom you want to rp? I am the kind to at least take a look at the source material!
These days I am closer to a low to mid Casual roleplayer. I want at least a paragraph from replies and don't mind dipping lower than casual if it fits the flow better. I am capable of writing decent long posts but expect me to take eons to reply. I also must warn you that I tend to lose a lot of steam in the winter months.
Oh gotcha, that makes more sense. Such young kids sound like such a hassle, haha. How long have you been teaching? And do you have like a specific subject?
Before there was time, before there was anything, there was nothing. Before there was nothing, there were monsters. The cycles of reality have always remained consistent. Creation, destruction, and those who slip between the cracks of entropy, buffeted and changed by the passage of time, nevertheless.
Ooo has undergone many such changes: the collapse of civilizations, the death and rebirth of elemental forces, and the rise and fall of magic. Few constants ever remain, but change is always abundant. The world is always moving, and there is so much more to Ooo than the geopolitical war that came and went seemingly overnight.
Welcome to Come along with me, an Adventure Time themed roleplay. This game takes place roughly five years after the end of the mainstream series, shortly after the end of the first season of Fiona and Cake. Much of the land is the same, aside from the following.
Following the end of Gumbaldia, the formerly shaky relationship between the fire kingdom and Candy Kingdom has strengthened, as a defensive treaty was signed in case of any similar fiascos. In the years following, and with the help of Finn and Jake, many of the other minor kingdoms and their subsequent allies have joined together to form a loose coalition.
Since then, much of the Land of Ooo has seen a level of security unseen outside of the walls of capital cities. Guards roam roads, documentation and police work is more collaborative across kingdoms as well, but things are not perfect. Many in the fire kingdom are furious about this change, and squabbles of territories and laws are constant. The actual cohesion of this coalition is shaky at best.
Humans are back in Ooo! They’ve come in a giant floating island that currently hovers off the eastern shoreline. Humans have changed the dynamics of the world rapidly. They’ve started settlements across the world and were wildly unprepared for the dangerous and mystical world before them. Worse yet, their technology, which has brought a surge of living standards and health care for most, has also brought about a sudden surge of dangerous weaponry across Ooo.
The most concerning issue is the constant maintenance and resources that go into keeping the island floating. It is a near-constant fight to keep this from being a horrible disaster. This has raised concerns across multiple kingdoms. Ultimately, the humans have made a lot of enemies and not exactly ingratiated themselves with the rest of Ooo. Humans are looked at as naive, weak, and selfish by most across Ooo.
Come along with me will be an episodic 5e game, using the 2014 rules and the Modern Magic Unearthed arcana. and set in the world of Adventure time. Homebrew is absolutely welcome, but must be run past me before being accepted.
Rules:
Roll for stats! Star with 1 feat, all characters. All characters start at level 3!
Leveling up will be done through experience point, divided up during long rest or at the end of adventures!
Follow the standard etiquette of roleplaying. Be nice, don’t do anything foul, etc.
Rather than a continuous, constant adventure, this game will instead be a series of short adventures. This will allow players to come and go, to try new characters, and potentially for there to be a switch in DMs between adventures. Levels and loot will be carried over between adventures.
Between adventures, characters will be allowed to take downtime activities. Most of these are as you would expect from the DM’s guide and Xanathar’s: Gain renown, shop around, craft items, work a job, etc.
Players will also be able to work towards goals of their own in any way between adventures. This could be finding a hideout or home, working with allies they’ve made in adventures or hunting down enemies made the same way.
On occasion, these downtime activities might result in an adventure of their own. During these adventures, players may be asked to role-play as the NPCs that would be involved in these otherwise solo adventures.
I am looking for at least 3 players. Anyone interested, please fill out this vague character sheet for anyone you would want to play. Additionally, please answer the questions below.
Name: Class: Theme: Give a vague run down their personality or some of their past. Just give us a general vibe of who they might be.
Questions: Should we allow characters of different levels to adventure together? Or should all characters be the same level?
What do you enjoy about adventure time the most? What do you like the least?
What do you enjoy about DND the most? The least?
Any further input is more than welcome! I am eager to see if anyone else is interested in this!
