Event: Cold Comfort

After Esmii heard what Yuliya said, she decided to slip away from the group, while no one was watching, not even Sven. She wanted to go somewhere on her own to think about everything that had happened, and just before she slipped away she saw from a distance a cave that was along the cliff face with some shrubs, vines, and blueberry bushes around its entrance.

She found a nice place to sit near its entrance, and she let Sage have a stretch and some food. The sun was starting to set and she couldn’t help but get a little pensive as she watched it approach the horizon. It was all so much: the danger, the intrigue, the… Silas was probably dead - literally dead. The sun was in her eyes and she blinked back some tears, but more came and she let them continue. Suddenly, she felt Sage nuzzling into her face, and she stopped to look at her and said. "Hi Sage, I’m sorry, I know you don’t like it when I cry."

The dormouse chittered sympathetically, or at least Esmii liked to tell herself that’s what it was and, as she was listening to her furry friend, she noticed something else: the faint sound of running water. There was the river itself, but this wasn’t coming front here. It was… from somewhere within the cave. Curiosity piqued, and against her better judgement, Esmii decided that she would take a look inside. She grabbed some thread from her bag and tied the end of it to one of the bushes at the entrance. Then she turned and cautiously walked into the cave, catching a faint smell of sulphur. As the natural light started to fade, her tears turned to curiosity, mostly but not completely overcoming her wariness of her surroundings. She nearly got lost and almost lost her nerve as well. However, she noticed that her steps felt unusually light, almost like it was easier to walk into the cave than to leave it. Esmii came across a small stream that was flowing rapidly, and the cave seemed to narrow at one point. Glancing back towards the now-obscured entrance, she decided to wade through the water to see what was beyond.

While she waded through the water, she noticed the smell of sulphur again, and she thought to herself that the water wasn’t as cold as it should’ve been, that it is really pleasant and soothing. Her legs felt relaxed and any tension she had felt soon left her muscles. When she reached the other side, her steps were unusually quick and the water was flowing even quicker. Esmii saw some pebbles on the ground that looked fresh, as if they had just recently fallen from somewhere. Her legs started to feel warm and sluggish and her skin felt fresh and soft after walking through the water. Something here was unnatural, and an uneasy feeling began to build within her. However, the yasoi cautiously continued further, the feeling of something pulling her forward building. She found the stream again soon, as she was walking up a small rise.

Esmii noticed that the rocks were very strange, the smaller ones seemed to shift and clatter every so often. Surprised by one, Esmii lost her footing and fell back. However, it was as if gravity didn’t really pull her down as quickly as it should have and she was able to catch herself. She took a moment to rest and recover, and that was when she noticed it: the water was flowing… uphill. The force that had been subtly tugging at her was quite a bit stronger by this point and, as she touched the water again, it felt hot - not just warm, like before, but hot. Just then, as she was looking at the stalactites and the strange way in which they’d grown - almost at an angle - a head-sized rock fell in front of her and caused her to jump. A few more lay broken on the floor. Esmii started to feel like she was physically being pulled further into the cave. Wondering at the sensation, she was snapped out of it when a person-sized section of the cave wall collapsed, hurtling towards Esmii. She managed to dive out of its path with inches to spare, aided by whatever was pulling her deeper in.

That was it, and her instincts told Esmii that to go much further would mean death. She decided to turn back and tell the others about this place. This was not not something that she should’ve tried to take on alone, especially without the use of her magic. As she turned to walk back to where she’d come from, she found herself being pulled backwards. The force - that eerie force that was something like gravity yet was not - was pulling her back harder than before. Fighting, straining, fear, adrenaline, and panic rushing through her, the yasoi found the strength to resist being dragged deeper, and even started to make a small amount of progress.

For the next twenty-odd minutes, Esmii held firm and inched forward a bit when she had the energy for a push. She dug her heels in and kept making forward progress until, blessedly, the pull seemed to have weakened just enough for her to walk normally. A building unease seemed to tug her forward now, just as the strange force had tugged her back and, in her haste, Esmii grew incautious, stumbling and scraping her hands and knees. She could see it now: the faint glow of outside light! As she neared the cave entrance she heard Sven’s voice. She couldn’t quite make out what he was saying, but it wasn’t a stretch to assume that he was calling out to her. How long had she been in there anyhow? Esmii shouted back, hoping he would hear. "Sven, I’m here! Keep talking please.". Then, she saw his silhouette and it was a scramble to the entrance and to him. She fell into his arms, exhausted.

Event: Cold Comfort

While the others went off to plan on what to do about the Begemot. Esmii, along with her boyfriend Sven decided to see if they could find some tracks to see it would give them some sort of clues of what they were dealing with. Along the way they found some waste that seemed to belong to the Begemot, however, something was different. Using their Binding magic, they were both able to come to the conclusion that there were TWO types of waste.

With both waste being similar apart from the size. Both the Eskand and the Yasoi, came to the conclusion that there was not just one, but two Begemots. A mother and her newborn baby. To Esmii and Sven it made sense why it was attacking, well it wasn't technically, it was trying to find food for its baby. After a little celebration of hugging and kissing, the two made a mad dash back to the rest of the group of this groundbreaking discovery.

Sven was among the first to return, and he bounded up eagerly with Esmii in tow. "We have found out shomeshing!" he announced, "Shomeshing big!" He glanced at his girlfriend, wanting to giver her the honours. Esmii smiled at her boyfriend " Aww your so sweet thank you." Esmii waited for the group to gather round both her & Sven. Once they were all gathered she began to explain, what they had both found." Sven and I have managed to find out some important information, SOMETHING BIG !!! She clears her throat & continues. " Using our tracking skills, we have found the nest of the Begemot, however using our Binding skills we discovered that there are TWO Begemot's, one is much smaller and the other was recently PREGNANT!!, which means they are Mother and Baby, and she is searching for food for her newly born child"

This seemed to shock the group, as some of them wanted to kill it, hopefully this would have helped them change their mind. It seemed the group were about to discuss more on the topic. A series of ground tremors began, getting louder and more intense, it only meant one thing, the Begemot is here. While everyone was getting ready with the plan, Esmii was helping Nikolai evacuate the villagers. Nikolai informed Esmii that Esmii should go meet up with the group, he has the evacuation in hand, he also informed her that to try to keep the Begemot away from the mountains, as that's where the citizens were going. So she chased after the group.

It seemed that trying to stall it was working. As Esmii was making her way towards the others she lost her footing in the muddy terrain and belly flopped into it, because of this she was able to avoid the Begemot ear shattering roar. After some frustration and yasoi swearing, Esmii finally managed to get herself free from the mud. She then made her way towards Yvain & Yuliya as she noticed that they were both holding their hands to their ears, and she saw some blood coming from them. Not wasting any time she began to heal their eardrums, from the Begemot's scream. While she was healing them, she was talking to them the whole time so that she knew when their ears were fully healed.

After hearing what Nikolai said about Sven been stuck in the mud, Esmii quickly runs to Sven's side to help him out of the mud, already knowing how hard it is to get out of, as she was just stuck in it too. "Sven I'm coming to help you, don't struggle, it will make it harder for you to get out." however Sven was not struggling, per se. Well, he sort of was. He drew. He drew massive amounts as a blood mage Binder and the ground immediately around him evaporated, all of its stored potential energy filling him. Woozy from drawing right up to his capacity, he leapt free, stumbling upon landing.

While Esmii was running to help, and because she was so focused on getting to him she tripped and slipped a few times being covered in more mud. However she managed to get to Sven just as he stumbled, she tried to catch him, so that he didn't hurt himself too much. " Sven are you ok, do you need me to heal you. "Sven somehow found time for a small kiss in the middle of a life-threatening situation, because he would. He smiled at Esmii's question. "Looksh like you do too." With all that energy he'd drawn needing to be used, he reached out to heal her scrapes and bruises, as she did the same for him. They were in the shadow of a massive, raging beast, and it needed to go down, but they also needed to be out of the squish zone. Sven picked Esmii up like a doll and filled himself with the last of the energy he'd drawn, casting a chemical enhancement to give himself a bit more speed. "Let'sh get outta here."

As Esmii is carried by Sven she becomes a little flustered, and blushes. She try's to calm down as this isn't the time as there is a giant monster that needs to be delt with. " Thank you Sven for healing me, I was that focused on healing everyone else I forgot to heal myself, I do that a lot."

After Esmii had been safely moved out of the Begemots way. Esmii ran over to Penny, shouting " I'm coming to help you encase the Begemot.". When she reached Penny, she quickly started to help with her binding magic to help Penny with hers, to encase the Begemot, before it tried to escape the mud again.

Event: Cold Comfort. Location: Hoch Dorumviri.

Stepping through the portal, Esmii got mixed feelings about the two that greeted the group. A nice welcome from Chorily, while the other one just gave her a cautioned look. Esmii didn't say anything, instead she just smiled and waved at them. As the portal closed, it came to life once more, spitting Silas out. Esmii managed to move out of the to avoid Silas collision with the others. "Oh Silas, there you are."

She kept close to the others as the Hegelan lead them through the city. Esmii was in awe by all the stuff that she was seeing for the first time. "Oh wow. Look at the place." she says with glee. She wants to stop to look at some of the stuff that some of the merchants were selling, but she behaved, since Sven was holding her hand.

Once getting to the bunkhouse, it seemed Nazih and Sven were a bit relieved since they had more space for them, since they were so tall. For people like Esmii it didn't matter much. Sitting on the bed a little bit to get herself sorted, the smell didn't really seem to bother her much, since the swamps from her homeland smelled a lot worse, especially in the summer. "It doesn't smell that bad"She mumbled to herself. Wanting to share her bed with her boyfriend, but she didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable and embarrassed, so she offered him the bed next to hers.

Once sorted, the group set out again with more travelling. Penny even mentioned it being such a pain since we could of just teleported there. when Moira explained why, it kinda made sense. Esmii was also interested in the cargo too. But Moira was very little help in explaining the details about it
"Dont worry Penny, I'm sure we'll be fine." she says, reassuring her friend with a smile.

A Date with Sven

Mittria 22nd

It was a chance meeting, beneath that peach tree at the edge of the arboretum on the way to class. Sven saw a girl sitting there and they talked. It became something of a tradition between them: Esmii, coming from the yasoi rooms in the Ever Tree and he, from his quarters in the northeast quarter of the city. It was at that place where their paths always seemed to cross and, after some time, perhaps by unspoken mutual agreement, they decided to stop pretending that it was a coincidence.

Those morning meetings soon turned into evening meetings as they made their way back from classes. The peaches were in season and the trees’ branches heavy with them. Fruit dragons fluttered about and small arboreal mammals skittered among the leaves. More than once, Esmii released Sage and Newt into the canopy. Sven climbed and plucked peaches and tossed them to her. He couldn’t climb like a yasoi, of course, but he wasn’t half-bad.

Perhaps it was inevitable, then, that feelings of more than simple friendship might develop between them. Esmii, however, proved the bolder of the two, or at least the less oblivious. She managed to pluck up enough courage to ask him out on a date, the part of her mind that had always feared instead of hoped certain that he would turn her down. He’d seemed… close with Ingrid. Instead, he said yes.

Esmii decided on something that they both would enjoy, but she wanted it to be something big, not just around the city. That would take money, and money was… in somewhat short supply. While she remembered that Jocasta had the ability to transport people through teleportation, the tethered usually only did so for payment. Esmii wanted… a favour: to bring Sven and herself to a dragon sanctuary, or a place where dragons migrated. It was a relentless barrage of pleading, cajoling, and small favours. Eventually, Jocasta caved. “Far be it from me to get in the way of young love,” she grumbled. “Just… don’t be late. I’m doing another pickup in the area. You can piggyback. You tell anyone I gave you a freebie, though, and I leave you there. Understood?” Esmii nodded and smiled sweetly and Jocasta rolled her eyes.

It is a warm Victendes morning in Mittria when Esmii waits with Jocasta for Sven to turn up. She fidgets nervously, adjusting her collar or sleeves or hair a half-dozen times. Her outfit is nothing special, but she wants to make the effort to look nice - nice by yasoi standards, but mostly yanii ones. After all, she's never been on a date before. Sage is left with Zarina so she can spend time with Nibbler. Newt remains in her dorm room, but she asked earlier Casii to look in on him. Esmii twirls her thumbs round one another, waiting. "I hope he'll enjoy this date." she mumbles to herself. “Ypti please.”

Sven appears in front of her - seemingly from thin air - with a deep purple rose in his mouth. Plucking it out with a theatrical flourish, he grins and holds it out to her. “My lady,” he offers.

Startled at first by his sudden appearance, eventually she relaxes. "Thank you kind sir," she says, sweetly playing along, while blushing. She takes the Rose from his hand and gives it a little sniff. It smells as lovely as it looks. Not wanting to lose it, she attaches it to a part of her outfit. Once it's properly secured, she looks at him with a big smile, "How does it look? she asks him, trying her best to make conversation with him, to help her feel relaxed.

“Like you’ll get eaten by a dragon before I do,” Sven teases. “Jusht… make sure to wear it.” He twists to greet Jocasta with a little bow. “Thanksh for thish. We appreciate it.”

“I own you now,” Jocasta half-jokes, and there’s an intake of Temporal energy. After a moment, a portal appears: a swirling tear in the fabric of reality. It stabilizes and, on the other side is a spectacular mountain vista, picked out by the tethered for its romantic qualities. “Don’t run through or you’ll go splat,” she warns.

Then, Sven grabs Esmii’s hand and grins. “Last one through goes splat!” he teases.

She smiles gleefully, squeezing his hand tightly before glancing towards Jocasta. "Thank you so much for this.”, she then looks to Sven "Shall we?" walking ahead of him, they enter through the portal together, the date has officially begun.

They emerge onto a promontory looking out over a vast and verdant valley. In the distance, loom great, snow-capped mountains. Wherever they are, it appears to be sometime in the late afternoon. Amid the whistling of the wind at high altitude, they can hear the nascent chirping of crickets and cicadas in the tall hillside grass. The two of them come to a stop, Sven brave enough to walk right up to the edge and peer down into the valley beyond. “Echo!” he shouts, his voice bouncing back to him. He twists and grins at Esmii. “Thish place ish aweshome!” he exclaims, “though… maybe a bit colder than I thought. Now, I wonder where the dragonsh -”

He’s so busy talking at Esmii that he misses the first sighting of them: a small family of colourful Yitsaumin taking off from a hilltop and gliding down through the valley. Esmii spots them, though.

She giggles at how sweet he is being. From the big smile and how he was acting, it seems he's enjoying himself so far. Spotting the Yitsaumin, she points to them. "Sven, over there. There's some right there." She says with glee. She moves closer to him, her finger tracking them as they glide down the valley. Hopefully he'll notice them before she loses track of them.

It takes him less than a second to turn on the spot. Sven’s eyes widen. “Hey shmall fry!” he teases, “How can you even shee anything? Come ‘ere for a lift!” He rushes up behind her.

Esmii smiles at him, letting that small fry comment slide. When he offered her a lift, she was curious about what he was planning to do, so she nodded to "Ok." she says, bracing herself to be picked up by him."Just don't drop me." she teases.
That was more or less an invitation to tease her further and Sven did not pass it up. “Oopsh!” he pretended to stumble, but then he was all wonder. She sat on his shoulders for a bit and they gazed out across the epic vista as late afternoon gave way to sunset. They hiked down from their lookout point and then across to another just on time to see a great flock of Thunder Kites take off from their mountainside nests, heading for the distant coast and their dusk hunting grounds.

Sven pulled out his picnic basket and soon they were enjoying jelly toast, fruits, and salted cold cuts. The evening’s usual insects came out and, with them, the bats and dragons that were known to feed on the pests. “You know,” he announced, between bites, “I’m pretty sure we’re actually in Callanasht. Theshe shpeciesh aren’t native to the Twin Continentsh…” They paused to watch a Licksplitter dart in and snag a crane fly with its long tongue, but then there was a splash in the water as the first of the Thunder Kites dived in, searching for its natural prey of Asperic Carp. Sven’s eyes widened. Shune, I wanna get down to the beach! I wouldn’t be able to… convinche you, would I?”

Esmii grabs his hand with her own. Snuggling into the side of him. "Sure, we can go down to the beach for a bit. I'm sure Jocasta wouldn't mind us if we are a bit late." she says to him. The two walk along the beach, the crisp breezes set a pleasant atmosphere for this nice stroll, both looking out to the water, the sun resting on the horizon. Feeling bold she wraps one of Sven’s arms around her shoulder, while wrapping hers around his waist. Fish jump out of the water, some were plucked at the peak of their jumps by Thunder Kites. Both point in awe on how nice the sunset is."I've really loved this, spending time with you like this." she says holding onto him.

Sven nods eagerly in agreement, eyes darting between her and the ocean, where the dragons dart and dive in the burgeoning darkness, their electric tendrils spreading and spidering across the water’s surface, stunning fish. It’s quite a beautiful light show and he finds himself entranced. The waves crash and moan, washing in and out. The light of three moons glistens on the ocean, full and bright and there really can’t be a better moment. Sven leans in, brushes a lock of hair from her eyes, and kisses the girl.

Esmii embraces the kiss and falls into it, placing a hand on his face. To the two of them, this was pure bliss. Time came to a standstill, to them they were lost in this moment that only may have happened for a few moments. With the kiss ending she pulls away from him, her face pure crimson. All she could do at this moment was smile at him. Looking at how late it has gotten. At first she struggled to even form a sentence due to being so flustered from Sven kissing her. Then she managed. "It’s getting pretty late. We should head back, so Jocasta doesn't become inpatient and leave us here." holding his hand.

Sven winked. “Would that really be such a bad thing?” The waves washed in and out. The dragons circled, and the moons glowed. When all was said and done, they made it back just fine.
Esmi'nesta'taware and Sven Bjørnsson

The Yasoi and the Eskandish.

In the early rays of the morning a young Yasoi sits under a tree in the Arboretum. The breeze is nice and cool, her hair is nice and braided hanging over her left shoulder. In her left hand, she has a grape, while in her right, sitting perfectly in the palm of her hand, is her pet Grapedragon. It bobs its head in anticipation for the grape, little embers erupting from its mouth. If it could talk, it would have properly said ‘feed me.’

"Here you go sweetie. Just take your time eating it." the grapedragon takes a bite of the grape that Esmi is holding, he even does a little happy dance while he's chewing. This makes Esmi giggle a little bit followed by a warm smile. Not wanting to leave Sage out she grabs another grape, she makes a subtle whistle. Sage pops her head out her top, sniffing the grape then taking it with its tiny hands.

Sven’s path often takes him through the Arboretum. It’s early and he’s more than a bit tired after too late a night up reading by candlelight. Then, he hears the distinct fluttering of a Grape Dragon’s wings. There is a girl under a tree. Sven blinks and looks her way, but he doesn’t recognize her. He’s been on campus long enough that most of the faces he sees are at least semi-familiar. With no class to be in this morning, he decides to wander over. “Cool Grape Dragon,” he opens.

Startled at first, Esmi lifts her head to the direction of where that voice came from. A tall human walked towards her, questions raced through her head. Who is this person? What race is he? But from a quick scan of him, he didn't seem threatening to her, so she relaxed herself. "Thank you. I've just got him. I haven't decided on a name for him yet." Looking at her Grape Dragon with a big smile, she looks back to the stranger. "You must really know your stuff. You were able to get what type of dragon he was just from a glance. Impressive. I'm Esmi'nesta'taware. I've just started. What's yours?" she says with a polite tone and a warm smile.

She has an odd way of speaking but, then again, so does he. Sven notices, after a moment, that the girl is yasoi - though unusually small for one. “Oh, ahem. I’m Shven! Good to meet you.” He grins. “Dragonsh are my favourite thing in the world, to be honesht. Really, I like all animalsh, though.”

From the moment he said his name, or more how he pronounced it, she could tell that he had a speech impediment. Doing the polite thing and not bringing it up, she was able to understand him at least. "Sven, that's a nice name." She smiles. She scoots over to one side, offering Sven to sit next to her. "I really like animals too. But you said you really like dragons, do you have a favourite one in particular?" The grape dragon looked at Sven with its little eyes, unsure what to make of this person stealing his owner's attention.

Sven scratched at the back of his head. “Well to be honesht, I know it’sh a weak answer, but I kinda like them all.” He sat beside her and made a specific motion with his fingers that mimicked the basic command for ‘feeding time’ that all of these store-sold dragons were taught. Then, he reached out with the Gift for Esmi’s grapes and, with an intense wash of magic, there were more: small and partially formed at first, and then bigger and complete. “Really,” he remarked, blushing slightly, “I shouldn’t be feeding them. They won’t shtop eating on their own. A grape dragon will eat itshelf to death if you let it.” He shook his head. “About fifteen to twenty-five grapesh should be enough, depending on how active it ish.”

Then, he wondered something of his own. “Sho, you’re ash far from home ash me,” he observed. “Think it’sh worth shticking around? The food any good for a yashoi palate?”

Esmi looked at Sven based on the answer that he gave about his favourite dragon."It's a really difficult choice, isn't it? Still you did give me an answer." from watching Sven use his magic to alter the grape size, she was completely amazed by how he did it. "Wow, that was amazing. You’re very talented."She says with a joyful smile. Esmi listened to the advice that Sven gave about feeding the right amount of food towards a Grape Dragon. Just as well she only gave him one so far. She blushes a little "Thank you for that knowledge, I'll make a note of it. Do you have any other advice that you could give? I'd appreciate It.

Sitting next to Sven thinking about what he asked, being far from home. "Yes. We are far away from our homes. The food isn't bad here. However, I think I'm doing the right thing. I'm looking for a solution to help cure aberration addiction in yasoi. I know it seems like a next to impossible task." she has such a determination in her tone, Apart from that, I want to try and be a doctor, or a vet and open my own clinic. she pets her Grape Dragon by scratching it under its chin, from his expression he seems to like it. She turns to face Sven asking, "What about you Sven?

“I don’t know, to be honesht,” he admitted. “I jusht like learning new shtuff and this sheemed like the besht place to do it, but people are sho… shelfish here, jusht like in the resht of the world.” He shrugged. “Maybe I wanna change that, I guessh. If people were more honesht, kinda like animalsh, I think thingsh would be better.”

Esmi looked in awe based on Sven's response. It seemed so noble, so pure hearted. She gently smiles at him "I think that too. There are people who only look out for themselves, hiding behind a mask that has a fake smile on it. Holding out a hand in friendship, while holding a knife with the other…well that's what I've been told. But I believe that there are more people like you out there, who want to make a difference. A little light of empathy for the whole world." a little frown comes across her face. Immediately after, she apologises to Sven thinking that she was rambling on.

Sven blushed deeply. “I uh…” He swallowed. “Hehe. I’ve never heard it deshcribed like that.” He scratched behind one ear. “Thanksh. Don’t apologishe.” Time was, however, wasting, and he still had classes to get to. “But I do have to go. Can’t shave the world if I’m too dumb to shave it!” He smirked, mimicking the act of shaving and not saving. He bounded to his feet. “Your firsht classh in Arc-en-Ciel, Gardiner’sh, or Balthazar? I’m walking that way. You should come,” he teased, “unlessh being late ish jusht a yashoi cultural thing.”

Esmi blushes from his sweet expression. From looking at him she gets a strange feeling in her chest. Which immediately goes when he mentions classes, which cause her to scream in alarm. she leaps to her feet, almost in a panic, barely giving her Grape Dragon to crawl up her arm to her shoulders. Oh no! I completely forgot about classes. she tries to remember her classes and which she was in, she draws a blank then she immediately gets flustered and frustrated [Colour=#b08cc9"I can't remember where I am. Do you think that you can help me, please?[/colour]

Sven rolled his eyes. “Typical tree people. Here,” he offered with a melodramatic sigh, “let me shee your schedule.”

Esmi felt a little embarrassed that she forgot where she was for her classes. She reaches into a side pocket and pulls out a folded parchment that had the list of her classes. She opens it up, handing it over to Sven to see if he'll be able to help her find her classes. "Thank you." she says to him with a warm smile blushing at this kind gesture.

From reading it Sven was able to help her find her class, luckily it wasn't too far from his. He handed back the paper and offered to walk with him. Esmi decided to walk with Sven to class. The discussion they had along the way was sweet, both of them were smiling and having fun. Sven had escorted Esmi to her class; he had just enough time to make it to his. Before walking in, Esmi looked back at Sven leaving. She plucked up a little bit to ask. "I… I had fun meeting you, we can hang out together some more if you want? Maybe after classes." blushing from what she said in case it was taken the wrong way. Sven turned to look back at her and it seemed he blushed a little from her question. He gave a smile and said, "Of course." Then kept walking to his class. Esmi smiles, feeling relieved by his humble response. She readies herself to enter her class. She takes a deep breath, "Here we go. You can do this." taking a step forward she enters the class.

Esmi'nesta'tawaar

Location:Ersand'Enise. Esmi'nesta'tawaar dorm room.

Night falls on the forest moonlight barely breaking through the trees. Inside one of the Yasoi dorms, shared by her friend. Esmi'nesta'tawaar lies on her bed, trying to go to sleep, but getting nowhere. Tossing and turning, lying on her side looking at her two pets that she got during the night's events at Mori's emporium. A dormouse that she bought from the exotic pet shop, she later called Sage. The other is a grape dragon that she managed to tame during the time she released the animals from their cages, in an attempt to free them from their poor conditions as well as a distraction to help the people she was with at that time. Both animals are sound asleep. Staring at the ceiling, unable to forget what happened to her that was only a few hours ago.

"Tonight was not the greatest of ways to start my adventures." feeling a chill run down her spine, she decides to slowly get out of bed, trying her hardest not to wake both of her pets slumber. While up she slowly walks up to the closest window to look outside of it. Looking out, all she can see are the other Yasoi dorms as well as the treeline in the distance, their branches swaying in the night. She folds her arms, gripping them hard. Her face frowns with saddeness, thinking about her family and how worried they must be. "I wonder how my family is doing, I haven't written to them since I've arrived here. Perhaps I should write to them to let them know I'm doing ok. If so, maybe leave out the part where I almost died." Thinking about the people that she met during her time. She met Silas, Nazih, Fiske and Margo. The only reason she met this group of talented individuals completely by accident was because she got lost while looking for the other Yasoi. However, they were nice to her. I honestly thought that I was going to be nothing but a burden and get in the way. But I somehow managed to pull my weight and helped them get out of a difficult situation with my healing magic. Not to mention seeing those giant snake people, that was pretty cool, but also scary.

Looking back to her bed, watching Sage twitch in her sleep, this gives Esmi a faint smile across her face, she walks back to her bed to kneel in front of it. Giving Sage a little pet to help it sleep better. At the end of the day, Esmi is happy with the choice that she has made. She left home to try to help cure her people from their aberration addiction. No doubt in her mind, her parents will eventually come looking for her in an attempt to take her back to Mycormi. She shakes her head,"No, I can't give up now, even if they take back. I will come back here eventually, this is where I need to be." Thinking about it, she just left home without even saying anything. With the help of her friend Casii, she just got up and left her family. Hopefully they'll understand…eventually. but she knows they won't. Wondering what will happen tomorrow, she climbs back into bed and lies there once again. However after a few moments hugging her two pets, fatigue eventually catches up with her and she falls asleep.
