The instructions were to go home then prepare for the night of patrolling to battle against hollows and do what shinigami do. Bakuto went home, made a meal and treated his wounds from training. Once the sun went down he used the soul badge thing and popped out of his own body. Then popped konpaku into his body, while he lived alone Bakuto did make enemies in his life before becoming a shinigami and leaving his body in a helpless state isn't something he wanted to do. So putting in these soul candy in his body so it can flee and take care of his body should anything attack his home and body when he wasn't in it.

In his apartment he made his way to the roof terrace, instructions to patrol around where they lived. Bakuto stared at the sky keeping this pager in his pocket waiting for orders to attack.

A feeling in the pit of his stomach to do something reckless and going out on his own sat there wanting to find the hollows before they found him first yet Bakuto didn't do that. Bakuto listened to the sounds of the night, bustling cars, people going home and looking over the city from the rooftops of his own home. From the night before and the training that day, fighting against hollows that night and barely managing to take down one hollow in a group then failing in combat against his shinigami mentor.

Bakuto's actions and the way he moved were quite different. He took a moment to sit on the edge of the roof and closed his eyes. Then reached outwards with his mind and spirit. Sensing the premise of others and their power was something he at least saw Ouga and others do. That night before he felt the power of Regalhorn opening his mind to feeling another's reiatsu or spirit pressure. Bakuto reaches out trying to put his sense out there to test his ability to sense others. While holding the soul pager in his hand he feels out the area waiting for any sign to tell him where to go.

Instead of focusing on fancy techniques and flashy sword play his training focused on precision and Bakuto trained on focusing on how and when he would strike. The zanpakuto was a weapon and not a toy Bakuto focusing on when he strikes or swings his sword he is prepared for it to kill his target. Don't hesitate but don't be sloppy either. Bakuto before was focusing on the fancy medium ranged attacks when he didn't have the skills or focus to actually let them get used properly.

Learning on when to and how to properly use his jump step, 'Youho' Bakuto started while sparring with Ouga to use it to stop half way through the jump to make for an even more sudden stop for a more precious area of jumping. Evolving the technique further, getting the starts of Jiho the two-step, which Bakuto is just calling double or multi jump. Maneuvering quickly in the air and turning with precise moves to drive his sword and himself towards their targets

Bakuto sparring sessions with Ouga was just him trying to hit Ouga even once. Every time Bakuto would swing wildly, or attack without aiming precisely he would get wacked by a wooden sword. Which led to Bakuto using fast jumps and angles to try and get the advantage. Yet not even once did Bakuto actually hit Ouga he did block a couple of wooden sword strikes but he couldn't land a solid hit on Ouga.

Afternoon after training

"So train hard, get beaten up now, go fight a bunch of hollows tonight and try to apply what things we learned from training against those monsters. Sounds like a solid plan." Bakuto says as he grabs his stuff and jumps back into his own human body. He also grabbed a handful of the healing candies, he was bruised from the sparring sessions with Ouga.

"Killing intent, focusing, and not swinging my sword around like a kid playing with a toy, things I have to work on. I'll try to put what was beaten into me into practice, those hollows won't know what hit them when we are done with them tonight." Bakuto tried to be his jokester self, but he was mostly putting on a front knowing full well his own shortcoming that was revealed to him during his training session with Ouga and the other shinigami substitutes. Bakuto went off to get himself a bit of time before needing to be called out for the hollow hunt later that night.

Learning these about what Ouga called a shikai. Talking to the swords they all have. Bakuto looked at his sword wondering if he could actually talk to his sword. What would it even say to Bakuto who has been using it in his sloppy way of fighting? He stared at his sword thinking about what Ouga said, then when he said about taking a break. Bakuto didn't say anything he just did as he was told, rather his attention was on that training battle against Ouga and his own zanpakuto.

He didn't introduce himself at first yet to the new people Bakuto wasn't ignoring them but his mindset was set forward towards what has happened so far. Twice now he had a chance to fight. That night before against the hollows Bakuto and now against Ouga. Firmly being defeated Bakuto wanted to joke and shake off the fact he loved the fight but being defeated so easily just didn't sit well with him. Bakuto didn't think he had an issue with killing intent while he lacked something he wasn't sure what it was. Bakuto didn't eat anything, he did grab a drink and that was it. This break was something Bakuto didn't really want but he did because they were instructed to take a break.

Bakuto's attention was broken by the lady with the harmonica. Seeing the girl's introduction the way she introduced herself. "Neat little show. I am terrible at charades, but I think I get what you are trying to say. Nice to see another person full of energy in the group. Nice to meet you music girl." Bakuto tried to be friendly to this person who is completely unknown to him. Bakuto then quickly adds, "I am Bakuto by the way." introducing himself before anyone has to tell Bakuto to do so.

"So our group seems to be getting bigger. Will we be training together or all have our own tasks or training things we will be doing Ouga Sir?" Bakuto speaks to Ouga next, looking to see where the next bit of training will be going. Bakuto was eager to see what would be next, or how he can improve. Bakuto wanted to spar again and gain experience in fighting someone with the skills that can fight like a proper shinigami.

Having a person thrown at him did throw Bakuto off as Darus collided into him. Bakuto grumbled in pain as he then crashed to the ground from his jumping attacks. "Oh come on! Who throws people at people?" It wasn't really directed towards Ouga but at Bakuto's own failings at his own sloppy attacks. The training fight didn't last long, they all seemingly attacked and Bakuto dusts himself off. Wanting to still charge at Ouga again and keep fighting a smile plastered across his fight as he enjoys this, but yet hiding the fact he also hates losing.

Getting what he wanted was a fight against Ouga. Bakuto reluctantly put his zanpakuto down but not away, "Killing intent? I am pretty sure I went at you with everything I had. Yet everything I currently can do isn't enough. You went toe to toe with that big hollow guy last night, you barely broke a sweat beating us. I want to fight again, I want to get stronger to be better than I am currently. I barely can defeat a single lower intelligence hollow without messing things up. Even with help from a group like ours I can't keep fighting the way I have been. So we will be training right? Then I want to spend every moment during this training session sparing against you Ouga. Getting the experience fighting with someone who has the fighting experience needed to fight hollows."

Bakuto looks at his sword, “I can't do that weird sword changing thing you did against Regalhorn. But if I keep sparring maybe I can make up for what I lack.”

Meeting the candy shop owner or shinigami, not what Bakuto thought of when he first thought of a candy shop owner. Entering the shop, he didn't know what this place was, other than the demeanor of the lady was similar to his own. Bakuto fought the urge to smirk as she dealt with people. Once everyone is there he sees her with something and thinks nothing of it until she hits him with the weird looking badge. He gets sent flying into a wall. "Ouch get the name of the bus that hit me." he jests as he sees his body lying on the ground and he was in spirit form. He sees these medallions she called Tap and Reap Bakuto then comments, "couldn't we just say combat pass or something?"

Bakuto then smiled looking at these, "Woohoo, no longer do I have to sneak those weird candies from Ouga anymore! Never knowing where I'd find my body with those candies was a real pain." Not even angry that this shinigami woman basically punched him out of his body. With the sight of these medallions, he didn't care about her punching him. She introduced herself as Emi Komorisaka, Bakuto remembers names pretty well then again, he likes to try to push people's buttons by saying names wrong. Listening to Ouga also says why they are here. So training Bakuto figured that was the next step after fighting hollows for the first time. The way they fought and mistakes they made of course they needed to train. Bakuto learned his limitations and what he could do against hollows during the fights during that last night.

Komori Sweets Shop Testing Ground

Finding a massive room inside the candy shop was certainly a surprise to Bakuto; he left his body upstairs just staying in spirit form. He figured someone in the shop would take care to make sure his body was safe or at least he assumed so. Bakuto listened to the instructions, he smiled at Ouga's challenge once he figured out the challenge. "Finally getting a chance to actually fight you. Oh you bet I'll do this." Bakuto stretches his own neck then cracks his neck, "Come at you like I am going to kill you? Alright remember you asked for it."

The night before Bakuto watched the other comrades fight or spar so he was going to start out before they did. He grabs the handle of his zanpakuto. Crouching down low, getting to a combat stance for speed. Bakuto understood from that night before against the hollows how Youho worked. A fast jump. Bakuto sprang quickly using the jump step to approach Ouga with great speed. Or what he believes is great speed thinking he can out make an actual shinigami's speed with his own. As he lands forward he swings his sword at Ouga using speed to try and disguise his movements; his sword was still in the scabbard as he attacked. The second his sword would get blocked Bakuto planned on drawing out his sword from the scabbard then attempted to hit Ouga at point blank range with Onibi, his fast stab attack.

Using what he learned from the battle against the hollow Bakuto didn't have any follow up plans against the hollows. Attacking without plans or any idea how his moves work, making tons of mistakes that he learned from. So attacking Ouga like he told them to. He attacked using what he learned. Using his fast speed jump technique to move quickly and while moving using a distraction tactic to try and throw off his opponent by attacking with his scabbard. Then when or if should his false attack get blocked Bakuto's plan to draw his sword fully baring this blade out then stabbing forward with medium range attack but using the attack at point blank range having the full force of the attack hit up close trying to avoid missing like he did against the hollows when he attacked too far away. Assuming he gets a chance to make the attack. Bakuto assumes his speed and trick attack is enough to catch Ouga off guard.

The battle winds down Bakuto gripping his sword keeping his will and senses razor sharp as the hollows seem to leave or get finished off. Ouga told them to go home and get some rest then meet at the candy shop, "So not at the bike shop this time? Are you getting someone to cover my shift Ouga?" Bakuto making a joke as his job was meaningless, he was now a substitute shinigami full time now.

Bakuto turned to his peers, "That was a fun fight, I'd say those of us who can go drink and celebrate we survived and killed some hollows, but Ouga might be right we might need some rest. Hearing about fighting hollows, and watching Ouga and the other proper Shinigami they make it look easy. The actual fight was a bit different than imagined. At least I am not walking away like the first time I fought a hollow. Ouga didn't scold me this time for fighting them with no weapons or powers! I consider that a big win!" Bakuto laughs and smiles.

He quickly finds his zanpakuto's scabbard he flung during the fight with the hollows and reattached it to his belt, "Man this thing is durable." seeing it mostly intact other than a few cracks then he heads off back to the bike shop. Bakuto doesn't really have anywhere else to go. Nobody to go home to other than his job, mostly why he throws himself into this new job with his own gusto. This was his life now, and his friends were something to protect.

Ouga said he would call them to the candy shop, yet Bakuto just walked there on his own rather early. Skipping out the morning routines of getting the bike shop ready for Ouga and the others. Bakuto slept almost the entire morning before heading over to this place. He wasn't really phased from the fighting, while he did learn his limits and what he can and can't do right now against hollows. Yet even once he saw what the shinigami have to fight and what limitations he has, Bakuto still believes in himself and his own strength.

Bakuto sees Darius there near the candy shop "Darius! How's your morning, friend!" Bakuto's loud bombastic voice booming as he gets closer to the candy shop. Seeing someone who he just was fighting alongside the night before. "Have you run into anyone else yet or see Ouga yet? Hopefully we won't get too chewed out from some of our actions last night against those hollows. Our first time fighting those monsters, we might have made mistakes but most of us were unharmed I think and we took down a few of those hollows. I consider the fact we are alive and killed a few of them a win in my book." Bakuto smiles trying to keep a friendly tone, "Oh you brought food nice, I don't keep much at my place over the bike shop or I would have too."

Trying to make small talk with the guy, Bakuto knows nothing about Darius other than he is shinigami now too. Until that night before Bakuto had not even fought along him either. Ouga and the other instructors havent seemed to get the substitutes or at least with Bakuto around together that often. Yet Bakuto tries to be friendly with the guy he barely even knows, they were comrades and fought to protect each other the night before and that is enough for Bakuto for now to try and keep a friendly tone.

Focused throughout his first attack against the dog hollow, Bakuto's attack was successful. He figured out how his jump technique worked, and how he was using it wrong before he hit this attack. The massive humanoid hollow trying to catch Bakuto off guard, he gives it a side glance, "I'll deal with you in a second, Youho..." Quickly like before Bakuto does a rather fast pace jump to avoid the massive fist instead of jumping straight up he shifts his weight to jump sideways and out of the way. Then again he jumps back again with Youho going past the humanoid hollow and putting a follow up attack against the dog hollow he started up on. This time pushing through with his zanpakuto, finishing off the dog hollow separating its head and mask from the rest of the body.

Bakuto looks back to the humanoid massive monster of a hollow he flicks the blood from the dog hollow. "Let's see if I can't get the other technique to work better this time..." Bakuto looks to see what is transpiring. Another mysterious old man showed up near Ouga and Regalhorn. Bakuto didn't know who he was but for some reason he didn't feel like a shinigami like Ouga to Bakuto. "Guys, who is that with Ouga? Something is telling me he isn't like us...we might want to hurry up and finish off these monsters."

Bakuto changes what he was going to do, he doesn't have liberties any more to test out his techniques he needed to finish this off quicker uses quick footwork and movement to move around the big hollow slicing at its legs to try and bring it down so he can finish it off or so one of his other teammates can chop off its head.

Missing opportunities were apparent as the hollows regrouped. The kido attack Darius launched was enough to stagger the bat, but nobody followed up to help secure the kill. The hollow hit the barriers but no one launching after the attacks. Bakuto grumbled in disappointment. Pathetic, I'm pathetic. I am supposed to be a superhero now, but I keep making these mistakes. We have to take down one of these things.' Bakuto's thoughts as he sat there gripping his sword. Then he took a different stance, one to get ready to move. "Alright, this is a bad idea, but we are out of moves to play. Darius I know you might disagree with what I am about to do, but keep your barriers and attack spells ready." Bakuto cracks his neck a few times as he stretches, "Keep them off me the best you can, Tony if I can get one strike the other or finish off the one I go after. The bat seemed to get hit, hopefully it isn't as fast anymore in the air, so please don't let it get me because I am about to do something very dumb here. Mikazuki you might want to get ready to get some heals ready, this might not go the way I think it might."

Finishing his speech Bakuto took a very deep breath and started to focus on himself focusing his feet with all his power. He sheathed his sword and unstrapped this sword and scabbard from his body. "Time to go crazy. Yall better get those barriers ready. Don't let me die!" His final words to his allies behind the barrier as he takes off in a sprint fast towards the hollows coming at him. Avoiding the barrier first he didn't want to run right into his own team's barrier.

Needing to make an opening was the first thing. Not sure if they would expect a forward assault, Bakuto gets his sword while sheathed ready for fight. Onibi didnt work the first time because he was too far away, this time Bakuto was going to try and assist himself with the attack. Running forward towards the hollows once he get into distance, "Onibi!" He strikes his sword forward towards the lizard hollow while sprinting towards the lizard one. With the scabbard still on he launches the scabbard at the hollow with his Onibi technique Once he gets closer to the dog hollow. His next part of his plan goes into action, remembering what little he was told Youho the one technique he was training in the morning was meant for a quick escape.

"Youho..."Bakuto uttered this word quickly using this fast jump and the power in his legs to jump upward in a flash. Hoping to surprise the hollow and quickly get out of view. Attacking the dog hollow with his scabbard and Onibi was part of both an attack and diversion plan. As he goes into the air above the dog follow in a flash using upward momentum to go up spinning himself with his zanpakuto. Gripping the sword tightly on the downward momentum of gravity swinging downwards with the speed his own body weight provided by the velocity he was falling at, aiming for the dog hollow with full force of his sword. Trying to take the head or neck the hollow. Thinking of a quick rush and surprise attack might work. The barrier was able to create an opening before by surprising them, maybe quick movements can do the same. If all else fails Bakuto was also being a distraction trying to provide an opening for his fellow substitute shinigami to get a decisive attack on the monsters.

The attacks missed all of them. Bakuto misjudged the distance with a technique he really never used that much until now. Thinking he was going to get brutalized by the oncoming bat hollow. Then it hit the barrier that was made by his ally and bounced off and flew back getting ready to find its next target.

"Thank you magic wall and magic man. I nearly became hollow food. Thanks for that..." Bakuto thanked those who put up barriers for their barriers. Bakuto messed up his own attack and nearly met his end. Listening to the others speak Bakuto said, "I don't have many fancy long range attacks. Onibi was the only thing I was told about. Cant use Kido, I can jump if I focus multiple times in the air sort of like double jumping in a video game. Other than that I only have my sword skills." Giving off his list of skills to his allies around him that could hear.

As much as Bakuto wanted to, he knew he couldn't just fight these fights one on one he needed to fight as a team with this group. Listening to the orders of the others coming up with plans to fight together. It bugged Bakuto a bit but he even had to admit he couldn't do this without teamwork. "Alright either use your fancy magic kido stuff to take out that darn bat'man' hollow thing or find a way to ground it so one of us on the ground can get a good slash at it. The big slow lumbering ones on the ground once they get closer I should be able to fight those. For the record, I hate this, fights should be one on one but in this situation if we all want to get out of this alive I need to do this teamwork thing."

Bakuto then gets into a stance behind a barrier and yells towards the hollows on the ground. "Come on you slow lumbering monsters, is bats the only one with the balls to fight us. Or are you cowards?!?" Smacking his guard to make a clapping sound as he goads the on coming hollows on the ground. This time he stood behind the barrier and now waited for them to hit the barrier before he was to act. Putting his trust within his allies barrier skills and to try and work as a team. Bakuto's trembling from the start of this incident has vanished. He wasn't nervous or scared any more. He had a plan this time which followed the plan his allies had laid before him. Leave the bat to the long range users and use the barriers for cover then attack what he can once the hollow hits the barrier.

A horde of Hollows, the trembling stopped as soon as Bakuto saw the horde going straight into focus that he started to calm himself down. Bakuto went quiet, but his grip on his sword tightened as he went into a battle ready state of mind. Listening to the hollows speaks, Bakuto didn't even know they could talk, these were very much different then the one he first saw. Showing a bit of intelligence. The crown masked one that gave orders is Regalhorn, and caught Bakuto's attention commanding authority over the other monsters. Not only did it match the description that was given it was also in a position of authority that just screamed to Bakuto the boss.

Hollows talking about eating them, and Regelhorn speaking about if any of them are worthy of his horns. If anything that actually fired Bakuto up. He can feel he doesn't stand a chance without a lot of luck yet Bakuto was ready for a fight now. He watched fights in the afternoon with his peers now it was his turn to let loose.

The wave of Hollows came forth Bakuto started to say, "Woah, woah...too many..." Then he watched Ouga go into action his wooden sword changed. His zanpakuto change almost completely caught Bakuto off guard but when Ouga did his attack? Ability? Whatever it was Bakuto saw it the numbers of Hollows disappear. But knowing he should keep on his guard he took a battle stance with his own zanpakuto. While he couldn't change his sword it didn't mean he couldn't fight.

A group of hollows managed to get around Ouga's attack, a more manageable group. Big thug looking hollows, ones that Bakuto remembered from his first hollow, a lizard, a dog thing, and a bat. In his combat stance Bakuto's muscles tensed up as he gripped the sword and pointed the tip towards the oncoming horde. "Onibi..." saying the attack not really increasing the strength of the attack but mostly to remind himself what it was called. His technique that he learned from training, while he could jump around he can also attack from a distance.

Bakuto stabs forward extremely fast and hard with his zanpakuto faster than a normal human eye. Bakuto's first stab targeting the bat was a full focused attack, then Bakuto repeatedly stabbed using Onibi over and over. While lacking concentration, each attack would still launch an attack. Bakuto aims for any hollow he could see as he stabs forward over and over again. The first attack would be more impactful as he focused on it the others were rapid and more shallow with their cuts and attacks. No real plan for his attacks other than hit them quickly and as many times as possible except for the bat, that one needed to be hit first and hard. The hollow flies can do the most damage in Bakuto’s eyes if it wasn't taken care of first. Bakuto can fight in the air by jumping but he wasn't sure of the rest. Also during Bakuto's training earlier in the day he wanted to stay on the ground as long as possible and not try to battle it in the air with his unreliable air jump ability.
