I'd say right off hand, yes. Personal Shielding is a thing. But error on the side of tastefulness. If your character can suddenly take a nuke to the face and laugh it off... well, then it's not good. Be cool. Don't OP.

OOC stands for Out Of Character. In this context it also means a parent thread that you can write your IC or In Character, chat in the OOC (anywhere from off topic things to characters, story, etc) and where the character tab is. If it still doesn't make sense, don't sweat it. When a link mysteriously appears tomorrow just click on it will all make sense.

I love well written action. Desperation and/or focus during conflicts bring out the best and worst of characters.

Edit: What do you think of genetically modified intelligence in a character or improved healing?

I'd assume most military characters would have some sort of augmentations. This is the future after all. Just be tasteful. If you wander into OP territory (E.G. you can get your arm chopped off and regrow it in second... or just regrow it period) then I'd probably reject said character.

I'm pretty interested. I'd have to know more about the general storyline before nailing down specific character history. I haven't written or RP'd in almost two years, since joining the Navy. I might be a little rusty, but this ain't my first rodeo.
It's probably pretty obvious I'm new here, and as such I'm not really in the know with how to go about applying for these things. If I'm missing something, tell me.

The general story line is that our little group is trying to hunt down a mass murderer in a giant space tin can and not die in the process. There's not much else I can say in that department without giving things away.

As for applying, just follow the guidelines. As it stands (I've said it before but it bears repeating) I'm neither accepting nor denying characters before the OOC goes up. (Tomorrow. I wasn't as productive today. My chores took me twice as long because I'm still not 100%.) But if you follow the guidelines you'll be on the same playing field as everyone else. Which it appears you did. So yeah. +1

In [Suggestion]More characters for Bio → 10 yrs ago Forum: Suggestions/Problems
I'd think we need more than 3,000 characters for the Bio. I'm currently at the 3,000 limit (exactly) and I've plum run out of room. I still have more RPs I want to add and I'd love to add more to my about section. Maybe even add in a little more in my Misc. section. But I can't. So here I am making an appeal for more characters.
