In all seriousness, we're going to worry about getting some players together before we decide a champion. It'll probably end up being an NPC with the belt at first.

Calling All Wrestling Fans!

So this is the part where I try to get another pro wrestling RP off the ground. It will be a traditional RP where each player takes on the role of a wrestler and roleplays their life both in front of the camera and behind the curtain. Professional wrestling is a cutthroat business so players will naturally form alliances, backstab one another, and attempt to politic their way towards the coveted top spot in the company. I will roleplay as the promoter (hopefully an interesting character in his own right), responsbile for deciding who will win and lose, who will receive pushes and who will not. Remember though, it's not just about "being the best," it's about having a well-developed character. Even if you're playing one of the lower tier wrestlers, you can still have a compelling character and a compelling story to tell behind the scenes.

I'm a fan of New Japan so I'm definitely interested. Although I basically have little to no interest in or knowledge about anime/manga, I absolutely love both Japanese and American pro wrestling. Just so we're clear on the kind of background I'm coming from.

Sorry guys, but I was hungover as fuck today so I'll have a look at the new chars and whatnot tomorrow if I get a chance. I feel like I should probably cap the characters soon, anyone who's already posted in the thread is fair game to apply if they haven't already done so, but then we're gonna have to stop allowing new entries for the time being because we don't want character overkill.

Arguing over the logistics of MK canon, lore and timelines is stupid and pointless. It is not a well written story or a particularily cohesive universe by any stretch of the imagination. If people want to use a character and it makes sense, they can. That's it. Also, spectres and revenants (not reverants) are essentially the exact same thing and that's what Scorpion has always been.

Fair enough, he's not a main character at this point, but he is one of Shao Kahn's generals. A lot better than fucking Reiko. If somebody wanted to play Kotal that's fine.

@Mr_pink Williamson is accepted, love the idea of a ronin in MK.

And as to the boss character question, yes they are unplayable. Raiden is unplayabale as well, because he serves as mainly a guide for the heroes. And Kotal Kahn doesn't exist yet since this is early in the MK timeline. Although for what it's worth I think Kotal Kahn is pretty cool. Honestly, all of the new additions in MKX were great.

We'll be accepting a few more characters before we get started, and I still have to post my own CS at some point. I'll be playing as Johnny Cage. I'm curious to see if anyone else will step into the shoes of an existing MK fighter. Either way, we have a solid roster I think.

Honestly I'm pretty surprised nobody is playing as Scorpion or Sub-Zero yet. I thought people would be all over that shit.
