The newborn finished the milk and yawned cutely before falling asleep in Liam's arms. Liam was ready to go after he carefully stood back up so that he could carry the sleeping Pokémon without waking it.
Liam picked up the bottle of milk. The newborn woke up, possibly smelling it and Liam began to feed the newborn. Liam made a mental note to thank Mike next time he saw him.
"Indeed it is." Chuck said, smiling at the little guy. "Too cute for what we've got planned though."
"Well, it's not like I'm planning on sending little Slushie here out aginst those poachers," Liam replied while testing the potential nickname out.
The egg pulsed a few more times before hatching into, as Liam predicted, an Alolan Sandshrew. The newborn cried briefly before Liam bopped it up and down a bit and it calmed down.
"Sandshrew: Alolan Form. The Mouse Pokémon. An Ice and Steel Type. Its ice-covered body lets it slide across the ground with bullet-like speed, sending its enemies flying when it hits them. An ancient tradition of Alolan festivals still carried on to this day, is a competition to slide Sandshrew across the ice as far as one can."

The group began to wail toward the Fairy Trial. As the heroes approached the cave in the mountain, Liam noticed the egg flashed as a sign it was close to hatching.
