Current Sorry for my lack of posts lately. I've just... been struggling to get the energy to write something up. I'm trying some new meds through so hopefully that will change soon.

Ashen Dawn

Stronghold: A work in progress in the fields of Nurn.

Commander: Tuskkar

Tuskkar was not a solder for the Dark Hordes of Mordor in the dark days of their fiery master; He had been spared becoming yet another slave solder of the eye to be thrown into the meat grinder of Mordor's war machine in order to serve as a farmer in the fields of Nurn. Tuskkar stood around 5 and a half feet tall with some rather impressive muscle on his frame, but it was the muscle built from the hard work of toiling in the fields alongside his fellow orcs, goblins and human slaves rather then that of combat or dark experimentation like those found in the military.

Many believed that Tuskkar was simple minded for an orc, considered too stupid by the guards with whips to go out into the world to raid and kill the enemies of Mordor like a real orc and thus little better then the slaves tending the fields alongside him. In a way, they were correct; Tuskkar was very simple minded. He lacked the ability to come out with new methods of cruelty that the guards boosted of. He lacked the hatred for humans that drove so many of his kind to seek to kill them all. He didn't even have it in him to look down on the human and goblin slaves that worked beside him.

The thing that they got wrong was that simple does not mean the same thing as stupid. Tuskkar was very intelligent.

Description:
When the Dark Master of Mordor fell and fire rained down from the skies, the overseers and guards of the plantation that Tuskkar was living at fell into confusion and panic; Something of great importance had taken place and something fundamental had changed, but they were blind as to what had actually happened and didn't know what it was that they were meant to do next. Had they been given time, they might have worked something out. They didn't.

Led by Tuskkar, the farmers and slaves of the farm rose up in revolt and turned on their former overseers with their tools, a desire for freedom and pure rage. Understaffed and disorganized, armed more for 'motivation and fear' then actual combat, the guards and overseers were slaughtered to an orc.

Before the rebellion had the chance to splinter and turn on itself due to old racial hatreds, Tuskkar started to speak. He spoke of the death of their dark master. He spoke of how they had all been slaves to him, willingly sacrificed for no purpose then to push his own dark designs. He spoke of their freedom and how easily they could lose it and their lives if they did not unite, if not to the other bands of orcs that were no doubt forming at this very moment then to the humans and elves even if they managed to escape Mordor; The orcs and goblins would be slaughtered outright while the humans would be reduced to little more then beggars and serfs, ignored and used by their kings because they were beneath them.

Why be a beggar, a serf or a slave when together they could become something more? The Dark Lord that had enslaved them all had finally passed and in the place of his darkness it was an Aukhen Agon, an Ashen Dawn for them all. While the warrior can only spill blood, they were farmers and had one major advantage over their rivals; They knew how to grow something new from the blood soaked ashes of Mordor and that it would be them who decided what Mordor would become.

Getting to work building up a new fortified settlement, Tuskkar's message was spread to the other farm camps like a fresh breeze; Orc, Human or Goblin, all would be welcome as equals to create a new nation and way of life for them all.

Resources: WIP

Agenda and Concerns: Tuskkar has five main objectives for the Aukhen Agon:
1. Create a secure base of operations in Nurn for the Aukhen Agon to operation out of.
2. Unify orcs, human and goblin under the same banner as equals.
3. Spread the influence of the Aukhen Agon throughout as much of Nurn and Lithlad as possible; An army marches on its belly and having a monopoly on food production and possibly the water supply would greatly strengthen the Aukhen Agon's position, influence and power in Mordor.
4. Defend against all aggressors.
5. Rebuild Mordor into something greater then it has ever been before,

Resource Allocation:
400 Humans slaves 2 points
250 Goblin slaves 2 points
10 Orcish Chirurgeons 2 points
10 Demi-Trolls 4 points

Note: The official and enforced position of the Aukhen Agon is that goblins and humans are no longer slaves and are considered equals. In the case of humans, they are given the following offer: Join the Aukhen Agon and work and defend your right to be a free and equal member of the new Mordor or be given some food and water and allowed to leave their lands unhindered. It is also made quite clear that in the unlikely event that they somehow get out of Mordor alive without being enslaved or killed by the other warbands of orcs, the environment, the wildlife, dying of thirst or starvation they would still have to cross a lot of hard to travel, hostile wilderness before they arrived anywhere even remotely friendly to them; At which point their reward for surviving the trip would most likely to be a serf or a beggar for the rest of their lives.
@Terminal

All I did was type in 'Ashen Dawn' into a black speech translator. Does Aukhen Agon have some other meaning that I missed?

.......................................................

I hope I am not too late to join.
Loki seems to be getting all the shippage. :P

The fight was over in what appeared to be more or less a victory; Loki still hadn't let down his guard through. His old...tool?.. The 'Enchantress' was still alive after all these years and it was quite clear that she was still rather sore about the fact that he hadn't delivered on the whole Thor thing. As much has he had insulted her for being unoriginal and a leech when it came to her abilities and her plans, Loki knew for a fact that Amora was no fool and was a rather talented sorceress in her own right; She was just highly undisciplined and focused more on the control of others then building up her own strength. His insults had simply been a rather simple ploy to get under her skin and keep her focused on Him rather then letting her focus her attention and magic on people less suited to counter it.

He was going to have to hunt her down at some point...

The sudden lack of snakes helped cool the burning in his eyes, but Loki had already been planning to find a bathroom somewhere so that he could scrub the hell out of them with water until the pain stopped when the strange woman... Victoria the Valkyrie helped him. Rubbing his eyes a little to wipe away the water that had already been pooling there, Loki took a good, hard and long look at Victoria. If Amora's taunts were to be believed, Victoria and Sigyn where connected in some way if not the same person. This would need to be looked into further later.

"Thank you Ms Valkyrie. I do apologize for Amora. The old hag was never one to let someone else hold the spotlight. Be thankful she didn't try to sing; Even magic can only do so much to cover up a complete lack of talent after all. Loki joked good naturally. After everything that had happened, a small joke to try and lighten the mood a bit would hopefully not be misplaced.

Turning to Dr.Doom, Loki's smile seemed to fade a little into a more neutral expression. Due to the mask, it would have been impossible to judge if the Ruler of Latveria was surprised when Loki started to speak flawlessly in his natural tongue but in the end it didn't really matter if he was or not as long as he understood the message. "'I have watched your rulership of Latveria for a while now with great interest Doctor Victor Von Doom. While the world may judge you a petty tyrant on a power trip, I recall those whom came before you and know for a fact that you are a ruler who deserves a great deal of respect for what you are attempting to do for your people. I suspect that we will meet again and that you have only just began to create a great legacy. I wish you well Dr Doom.'"

Allowing the two of them to head off, Loki offered Mr Stark a polite nod of the head when he saw the boy glance his way before going over to join the Doom Bots in helping people. Even without the use of magic, his natural strength would aid in the removal of rubble from those trapped underneath while his magics were reserved for more... troublesome cases were pure strength wasn't the answer to remove someone safely or if they had injuries that they needed healed immediately. He always made sure that he was smiling, talking to those that he rescued as if this was just something that happened often and even cracked a few small, tasteful jokes here and there. He had promised to try and make this as good an evening as possible after all.

Will start work on a post now!
Taking the time to enjoy the homely feeling that the underground gave him, Twich took the time to look around at the work that Clotho's swarm had been up to. Had things been somewhat different, he would have quite happily sent some messages back to his tribe and offered them the chance to move into a proper dwarven outpost that was connected to a massive underground fortress with plenty of room for home improvements and expansions... But alas, the fortress needed to remain vacant by the desire of the Master's will to pit the dwarves against the humans.

When the Queen of the Swarm returned, she did not do so alone. The presence of the squid-head made Twich's scales itch; He had traveled a lot in his pursuit of knowledge and from the other kobold tribes had heard and read about the legends of the squid-men of the deep earth. It was rare for a kobold tribe to dig down deep enough or for one of the squids to dig up enough in the right place for the two species to intermingle, but it had happened before. The stories about what happened next were often told to Hatchlings to scare and warn them of one of the many dangers that exist with digging to deep.

While he did not know just how much truth there were in the legends, Twich couldn't help but feel like he was now standing on the edge of a knife with a large fall awaiting him on either side should he slip. The future had just become more dangerous. "Clotho, how are things coming along?"
@Sep

And denied Doom the chance to show off by showing him up? That's crazy talk!
@Angel Vicky

And posted. I hope you enjoy.

The burning around Loki's eyes was starting to get worse; It was a phantom pain and he knew that it was nothing more then the shadows of an awful memory from a time long ago but despite him logically knowing that it still gods damn felt like there was venom in his eyes! He didn't so much catch the fireball as he slapped it towards the giant snake that was now growing through the roof. No point wasting a good fireball after all.

As the snake started to regenerate itself Loki decided on a much different, somewhat simpler tactic then before; He stuck it in an illusion of Antarctica. No targets to vent its aggression on and the cold blood in its veins losing the heat from the environment that it required in order to move. If the mind truly believed that it was currently in a body that was standing exposed in the freezing cold, then the body would quickly follow. Besides, snakes weren't that intelligent to begin with.

Now free to focus on the queen bitch herself, Loki threw his sword at her with a surprising degree of skill... and unlike the bullets that had been fired before, this one actually managed to pierce the shield right up to the hilt, where it stuck. "Seriously, this is what I'm talking about Amora! When it doesn't work the first time your plan B is to do the exact same thing again, only bigger. Considering your infatuation with Thor it isn't surprising that you never learned that it isn't the size that counts,- Loki clicked his fingers, the enchanted blade of the sword currently piercing her shield glowing brightly with magic before exploding into magically charged shrapnel that really only had one way to go. "- it's how you use it."
