Even with the round, childish blushed cheeks and innocent, blue, clueless gaze, there's a shining star of mischief dancing around in the back of Fio's mind.  It's not too terribly hard to miss, but in case anyone did, Fio's hand-dandy backpack decorated with knickknack skull pandas is sure to hint things in the right direction.  Although, her gangly, tomboyish physique also has its own perks to piecing the puzzle of the young teenager together.

Fio is not too tall in height, but her thin, frame has an adolescent illusion that distorts her appearance into a longer stretch. She's still in that awkward phase, and to make matters a little worse, her light brown hair is kept relatively short and playful with wavy wisps that accentuates her more masculine features. In fact, her hair gives her a more youthful appearance like that of a young, delicate boy.  Although, her voice is hardly at all threatening nor gravely like a pubescent boy, and her language barely drops to an inappropriate rating. However, this cherub doll mask is clearly a protection to hide her more farcical and prankster demeanor.

With that said, the child is not above playing pranks and japes and snooping through inventory of other inmates crew members. They all seem to be just as secretive as her; and if her own stories hold true, they have a lot to hide.  And, of course, when going into a strategic game of social interrogation, it is best to not only be on the defensive but to also have a good offense. Knowing their stories before hers is always good for a tactful savoir faire.

She is usually modestly dressed, included in such attire would be a turtle neck and long sleeves. Her usual excuse is something along the lines of not having enough fat on her body to keep her warm.  Except, this excuse elongates to even times when the temperature begins scratching the surface of her reasoning being some sort of lie of concealment.  Either way, it's not as if anyone is going to tell a fourteen year old to dress any less modestly. She's just a baby for crying out loud.

She is also known for swooping her bangs from her forehead and wearing the occasional pilot hat for girlish giggles.

There is bashful and shy, and then there is Fio. She floats like some sort of bubble about to burst, and it's hard not to burst a bubble, especially when its coy and blushing from embarrassment of being noticed.  Fio prefers to stay in corner and away from the center of attention (kind of like a cat!).  It is not as if she just does not enjoy being seen, it is as if she is playing a game of cat-and-mouse, and her being seen is just another loss tallied in some journal pocketed in her hand-dandy backpack. But, she's a panda not a cat.

Her speech style can sometimes come off as unclear or hasty or emotionally driven.  It's not as if she enjoys losing at her own game.  However, even in a normal setting with her playful jaunts and hide-and-seek act put back into the toy chest, Fio seems to have too much to say and too little organization in how to deliver her message, and delivering her message looks more like the cat got her tongue. (See? She's not a cat.) 

When not tripping over her own speech, she can be blunt when giving information or stubborn and pouty when refusing to release information. It's fairly obvious she is immature for even her age, but any quirk in her personality has not necessarily withheld her from being useful or resourceful in her dialogue with technology and her job on the Absolute Magnitude, even if her personality can be irritating and unwanted at times.  

"Besides, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.  And, look! I'm already starting to look like one!"

Also, Fio's never had a crush on anyone before. The thought has barely crossed her mind, and even if it did, she probably scoffed at it being gross or disturbing or something. Like, seriously, how is she going to crush on some Universal Celebrity who doesn't know who she is or even worse: her crew mates are old. Yick.

The Mori family believed that a family who commit crime together, stayed together, and like good sewer rats, they hid underground on Venus -- fueling their minds with the candle lit vigils of the computer screen. They were hackers with a purpose, and if asked directly, they were not really under the guise that they were criminals in the evil sense.  They were above the law; they were groundhogs with forecasting powers; they were letting society know when the sun would shine: and so far, it was mostly shadows and the endless void of space's ever expanding stomach.  It was eat or get eaten, folks, and the Mori family was giving some offering of food and refuge. The electronic kind, anyways. Although, one could argue for less technical terms on the subject, but that's an argument for another day.

It was the computer that started to make Fio think of her family as more so cats than rodents. They were always chasing something and playing with mice.  Her dad was also kind of fat.  Maybe he was moreso chubby, but she liked the saying.  However, the more she ventured into this philosophical discord about what type of animal her family represented, her family started using those classic cat idioms against her: You know, Fio, curiosity killed the cat, and Don't be such a scaredy cat, Fio.

Until, one day, Fio decided she would not associate so much as a feline anymore. More specifically, she proclaimed to be more like a dà xióng māo - a big bear cat.  Sure, they could be clumsy looking, but it is fact, they move quickly and are very dangerous and deadly creatures. Thus, she decided she more like pandas. She would no longer be a curious but dead cat nor would she be a scaredy cat. Instead, She would be like a ferocious panda! It might as well have been good that she self-proclaimed herself akin to the family Ursidae, because where she was going, she would need to be more durable than a cat.

Living among the nocturnal criminals of the universe spoke for itself. Venus wasn't Mars, of course, and Mars had its reputation.  But, Fio has her fare share of stories. Her least favorite one is a bit of long story, and of course, it hasn’t anything in relation to a happy ending. Unfortunately, it is also the most significant story in Fio’s life (at least, currently). It explains why she even rides the Absolute Magnitude. And, that’s a story for another time.

Every superhero needs a signature, right? Right. Fio thinks so, too.  Thus, she uses Pin, her very own Personal Panda Display Picture.  Every bite needs a Pin in it, Fio tells herself. Pin is pinned like a good e-companion to munch away, store, and digest in his cushy little belly any data she deems necessary. Of course, he can't help her with all data.  She's not that good.  But, she's good enough to be useful on the Absolute Magnitude. If not, she at least serves as a pretty good secretarial type: fiona.mori@amrecovery.com. 

You'll find her behind the computer most of the days.  How is she supposed to fight crime and forces of evil without her main man, her main machine, her favorite weapon?  Not likely.  It's Pin's Mansion Dream House! He needs more space than her Galaxy S Holo Device. (At least, aesthetically speaking.) Thus, you will most likely not find Fio without her handy-dandy backpack, the moat and wall that protects Pin's Mansion Dream House.  She has other walls to keep him protected, but her Alienwave's warranty is fresh run out.

Unfortunately, the color and size of her backpack are the general things that give away her supposed hiding spots.  Maybe, she secretly wants to be seen, but her attitude towards being found obviously does not portray such.  She's a dà xióng māo, after all, and if she likes a person, she will hang around him until he's allergic.  (Like Poole, for instance.) On the other hand, if she doesn't like a person, she will watch him from afar until further notice is given. But, by in large, it is far easier to keep connected with the outside world from behind her fortress Pin's Mansion Dream House. Besides, if Pin dies, it's not as if she could not just revive him, unlike other people she knows.

computers  - Panda's don't chase mice, and Fio doesn't either.  In fact, she doesn't even need them.  She's lazy and prefers the idea of opening a treasure chest with keys and the least amount of them at that. So, are you having a technical issue? Fio's you're department head and neck and shoulders and arms and can give you a helping hand or two.  She might also give you a personal zhezhi panda Pin made from spit-torn trash scrap paper as a receipt for her services. Her fingers are dexterous. It's part of the code.

nimble  - Like some sort of acrobat, Fio is pretty agile and flexible. She's thin and lithe and easily malleable for sliding into tight spots and contorting her body to different shapes.  Her mind is pretty nimble, too.  The thing about children is how impressionable they are.  Fio is not a baby-baby, but she still has the basic fundamental understandings of a child that can easily bend to the will of the group without too much consideration.  It is safe to assume she can take a few beatings, physically and mentally. Her landing has a good and expendable cushion.  Her energy level is also pretty nimble and not quite yet affected by the woes of womanhood.

w e a k n e s s e s

sneaky  - Asking for permission is what children are supposed to do. But, children are also not supposed to be riding the Absolute Magnitude. Besides, 'round these parts, Fio is pretty certain asking for permission equals the usual, No, and she's not going to take that for an answer, anyways.  She might as well skip the basic introductions and get straight to the dessert.  It's what children do, and as a juvenile delinquent, curbing her appetite is not going to happen.  Therefore, by any means necessary, Fio tries to get what she wants, as petty as her wants might possibly be.

guilt-ridden  - It's obvious the girl is holding some sort of baggage and not just her handy-dandy backpack or Pin's Mansion Dream House or whatever it's called.  It changes names constantly or maybe it actually does not.  It is just a bag.  Metaphorically speaking, she has some mental challenge that involves more mental gymnastic moves that definitely look crazier than her physical tip-toed struts.  She's pretty nimble, though, so there's really not much to worry about, right?

immature  - Even though Fio is resilient like a child, she's also silly like one.  Sometimes for revenge and other times for just because, Fio will initiate some pranks and other such shenanigans.  Typically, her games are lighthearted and not meant to hurt anyone, but she's not the wisest.  But, on a ship full of bounty hunters, whose feelings could she truly hurt? All of them probably.

Is she annoying? Yes.  Is she juvenile?  Yes.  Does she care? No.
