Ingo cares not for how attractive or striking he looks while he crushes the bones of his enemies beneath his feet, anything that doesn’t restrict movement will suit him just fine. Loose jeans and a tank top, for those truly curious.

If there is one thing that can be said about Red Riding Hood, it’s that he is consistent. Ingo will always crush the head of the kitten he rescues from the tree, and he will always throw the old lady into oncoming traffic before finishing her off himself. The rules have changed however, and collaboration among the residents of Mystvale is more important now than it ever was in the old worlds. Ingo knows this. But just as life will always find a way, death will do the same. Indeed, while killing may be a deed relegated to the backburner, the same cannot be said for fighting. And Ingo loves a good fight. He’s tussled with Tarzan, brawled with Beast, and clashed with Captain Hook. Willing or not, Ingo is always seeking out the best and strongest of them to test his prowess against theirs.

Ingo is built like a battering ram, with the strength of a bull or two to boot. Fifty lesser men couldn’t bring him down, and he feels pain like the common public enjoys eating lima beans.

•  F A T A L  F L A W 

Brute force isn’t Ingo’s only solution, but it’s always the first. Smashing an obstacle to the ground is much more efficient than working around it, and snapping the spine of a potential enemy is much safer than trying to negotiate with them. Ingo is not stupid or simple minded by any means, but violence is his lifeblood.

•  O N C E  U P O N  A  T I M E 

Ingo was raised as the son of a woodcutter living in the outskirts of a large forest, who supplied lumber to the town a few miles off in exchange for food and other essentials. For seven years Ingo’s father managed to keep both himself and his child safe from the dangers of the woods. For seven years they didn’t seem worth the attention of Wolfgang Steicher and his clan of bandits and brutes. They came in the night, slaughtering Ingo’s father and kidnapping the boy himself without ceremony.

Red’s new place in life was as Wolfgang’s personal servant, a position that seemed to be a step up from his father’s. Wolfgang worked Ingo like a dog, yet rarely did the man lay a hostile hand upon the boy. Open disobedience was met with swift and brutal justice, but unprovoked abuse never came. Ingo learned very quickly to stay in line.

Years passed, and as with all people, the members of the camp acclimated. The bandits to Ingo and he to them. It wasn’t long before his heavy workload was reduced and he became initiated as a full member of the clan. A wise decision on Wolfgang’s part, as Ingo’s unexplained and rapidly increasing strength would have made him a powerful enemy. He started joining the clan on raids beyond the forest, sacking caravans and pillaging hamlets for coin and supplies. It was out here that Red Riding Hood gained both his moniker and hunger for violence. The prefix “Little” was eagerly used by both clan members and the kingdom’s soldiers alike. The soldiers as a pitiful attempt to boost moral whenever they faced Ingo, and the bandits for the irony of it all. As a fully grown adult, Ingo was just over six feet tall.

Things began to fall into a comfortable monotony after that. The peasants suffered from the clan’s increased activities, and with the addition of Red into the fold, the soldiers were powerless to stop them. But some people just can’t help shaking up the status quo. A makeshift but massive army, full of mercenaries, soldiers, and angry villagers alike marched upon Wolfgang’s camp, putting constructs to the torch and bandits to the sword. Ingo stood amidst the flames, fighting tooth and nail to win a fight that was already lost. When the smoke cleared, he alone survived the slaughter, surrounded by his enemies. Ingo was no fool. He surrendered. 

So it seemed to all that Red Riding Hood was destined to live out his remaining days in a cell, awaiting his inevitable execution. The hopes of the common folk and nobles alike were quickly dashed however, when word got out that Ingo had ripped his cell door off it’s very hinges, before promptly beating his captors to death with it, escaping into the night. One can only assume he lived happily ever after.

While Mystvale’s residents no doubt question the wisdom of allowing someone like Ingo into their fold, or if he was even meant to be here in the first place, he certainly isn’t going anywhere. Living in a rather sparse little house close to the edge of town, Red’s hobbies include but are not limited to:
Exercising
Cooking eggs, cake, and other dainties
Challenging people to fights
Taking an online cooking course to further improve his culinary skill alongside his physical prowess

His primary goals in life include and are mostly limited to:
Causing mass carnage
Fighting against increasingly more challenging opponents (and preferably winning)
Not being uprooted from another home
Finding the grave of whoever turned him into a fearful little girl fleeing from wolves and spitting on it
