Power Rangers: Dragon Fury

Oh yeah, we'll definitely be going live today, I just keep allowing myself to get distracted with other stuff. I have like at least a dozen tabs open right now with different image search terms, lol. The main one I'm working on now is trying to find what kind of ice weapon I want to use for Shelby. The silver dragon her suit scanned was an ice dragon, and she also scanned a mermaid and a metal golem, so her other powers are hydrokinesis and metallokinesis in addition to her main cryokinesis. I want to give her ice wand type weapons that fire freezing bolts and then a giant ass ice sword, hehe.

Sorry it's taking so long for me to finish everything, I'll put the image search on hold for now and just focus on getting the intro post done and up, and then I'll go back to work on my character sheets.

I've been toying with the thought of also playing a general type villain, if that would be something worth doing? Kind of a goldar or Camille type, somehow hibernating somewhere since the last war.

Well, one of the first major story arcs I was planning was Zordon sending the Rangers to Egypt to thwart Bandora's attempts to resurrect Gollun-Ra, which is my version of Goldar. However, he is only one of her four generals, sort of like the Four Horseman to Apocalypse. I haven't decided yet who the other three are or where they are slumbering, so feel free to use a slot to craft your villain for that if you'd like. That goes for everyone else, too - if you have an idea for a villain you'd like to play and want them to be one of Bandora's generals, drop me a PM with your ideas XD.

Mostly from earth-type materials. For instance, in their first encounter, she uses the loose rocks in the cave. I hunted down images for a lot of her summoned monsters to provide visual references XD. Also, I updated part of the sheets for Shelby and Karone, mostly just to make sure I had everything formatted right. Finishing up the other stuff shortly.

Baha I just spent waaaay more time than I am willing to admit trying to sing an opening song for the RP, but no matter how I tried to auto-tune it and get it to sound half-way decent, I couldn't stop hating it, LOL. I wrote my own lyrics set to an instrumental version of the Dino Charge theme:

So does magic exist? I noticed one of the characters was already a magic user.

Yeah, it does exist, and if you'd like to create a character that has Mana sensitivity, feel free, but it's not a requirement. The only thing to remember is that magic users typically keep their powers a secret from the general public, at least up until the new Power Rangers start having visible battles that media becomes obsessed with, lol.

Practitioners of magic - such as Sa'Cha's Granny Udonna - will become key figures later on in the story. If you'd like, feel free to drop me a PM detailing what type of character you'd like to play and we can hash out the details together.

I might take purple or white, but noticed that there are already eight rangers. The first post only mentioned five power suits if I’m remembering correctly. Then I think I saw the addition of three magical equivalents. Would I have to make up my own origin?

Oh yeah, sorry, the ideas have evolved and jumped all over the place since my initial post, lol. No, you don't need to make up your own origin for your powers. I decided to scrap the idea for a set number of Nanosuits and instead just match the number to however many Rangers there end up being.

At the start of the RP, we are all on a school-sponsored trip to Amber Beach Dinosaur Museum for a fundraiser, and when delivering water and supplies to a dig site ahead of a guided tour, there is an earthquake and we fall into a series of tunnels where we eventually discover Zordon's ship and bond with the Nanosuits. Karone is chosen by the Red Nanosuit, but unbeknownst to them at the time, it is still tainted with the spirit of the evil sorceress, Bandora, who possess Karone's body and becomes our first major antagonist.
