"I think you are... Kai Yatoma." Anko spoke in an average tone, then her voice became a soft whisper. "... Jinchuuriki of the Eight Tails, isn't that so, Kai?"

Kai's mouth dropped open in shock. Whoever this person was had apparently seen through his disguise with very little effort. But it didn't seem that she was a Konoha ninja since he would have most likely been attacked. His mouth quickly closed.

"If you know who I am...than you must know that If I am discovered here then I will be killed without a moment's hesitation. Missing ninja aren't that popular here" He said quietly.

"Come on, let's go for a walk. Theres something we must talk about."

Kai didn't even have to think about it. If she had wanted him dead she could have told the Konoha shinobi that he was here but she hadn't. "Very well." Kai said simply as he began to follow her. "What are we going to talk about?"

I've been thinking, would it be possible for me to edit Kai's abilities a bit so he has something more than Earth style techniques? Maybe Fire or possibly Water style techniques? Or maybe lightning release techniques? I could do it later on in the Rp

"Hey, you! I think I know you."

Uh-oh. Kai thought as he fought to remain calm and keep his face from betraying any emotion as he looked over the woman who was currently smiling at him.

Gyuki. Can you sense anything off her?

Not really. But based on her stance I don't think she means us any harm. For now at least. Just talk to her and be prepared to run if you need to.

Got it.

"I...uh...I think you have me confused with someone else." He said with a fake smile and in a confused but pleasant voice. "Who exactly do you think I am?"

Kai was being as quiet as he could possibly be as he crept down the hallways of the Konoha police HQ. He had been here twice while still a member of the hidden leaf and he knew his way around. What he didn't know was why the shift change was still going on. It had been nearly six minutes since he had infiltrated the building and he still hadn't seen or heard anyone.

Something was wrong.

The Eight-tails couldn't sense anyone. He hadn't heard anything. No sign of movement from inside as well.

Too quiet.

He could hear the occasional creak but he couldn't hear any voices. It was as though if they were there they were trying to stay quiet. Which meant something else was going on that he didn't know about or they knew he was there.

Kai looked up as he finally heard a few voices one floor above him.

"It's weird isn't it? I wonder where the rest of the force is?"

"I heard the Hokage is at the training grounds right now. Any chance to see the hokage in action is a worthwhile event."

"The others must have headed over to the training grounds then. I don't blame them."

Kai shook his head as he saw a nearby window and quietly opened it as he slipped outside the building. The documents he had been looking for must have been moved but they could wait. First he had to get away from the HQ so he could inform the others about this without fear of being caught.

Kai kept walking as he headed towards the large building in the center of town.

Remember, be careful. I've already said this was going to be risky but what your planning makes it even more dangerous.

Konoha police HQ.

Kai stood outside the building for a brief moment and took a deep breath. The Hokage's tower was going to be too well defended to try anything and if he asked anyone directly he would most likely draw attention to himself but as long as his disguise held up he figured he'd be alright. But Konoha police HQ would most likely have the information they were looking for and if his memory served him right...it was almost time for them to change shifts.

Okay. Five minutes till shift change. Sneak in. Find data files. Sneak back outside.

Kai watched as they began to take their own routes to try and investigate. But Kai knew exactly where to go.

Be careful Kai. I know what your thinking and what your planning is risky. Just keep an eye out. This would have been risky enough but if they find out who you are then we're going to be tortured and killed. And I have no desire to be sealed inside someone else.

Don't worry. I'll be careful. Kai thought back quietly as he headed for the center of town. All he needed to do was keep from being noticeable. Which meant he had to keep himself from running into anyone who could identify him. He also had no plans on going near any of the Hyuga clan. With their abilities they would most likely be able to identify him with no trouble at all.

"What's wrong?"

Kai looked around with narrowed eyes. "Nothing. I'm just making sure that the ANBU aren't watching us." Kai had done what he thought was a pretty good job of masking his appearance. He knew that if he was identified for even a moment he would most likely be attacked.

"Keep walking." He said quietly as he walked through the gates of the village trying to look as inconspicuous as he could, it was hard for him to see his old home. Everything looked the same but he knew things must have changed in the three years he was gone.

Can you sense any of the other Bijuu here? What about their hosts? Kai asked the Eight-tails.

Nothing at the moment. But I'll make sure to let you know if I sense any of them.

"Remember." He said quietly to the others. "If any of you get in trouble try and signal me."

The memories of his time in the land of fire were coming back as Kai approached the border to the land of fire. He could feel the adrenaline pumping through his system as he jumped from tree to tree all the while while keeping a close eye out for any konoha shinobi. So far he hadn't run into any.

So far so good.

Something about this isn't right. The Eight-tails told him. There should be patrols or traps or at least a few shinobi along the border. You were a member of Konoha. You know that we should have run into something or someone by now based on their former actions.

You're right...Kai thought as he stopped for a moment and began to check his surroundings. Is it possible we're being watched.
