Is that how you get visitor messages? I thought you got them by being cool. ... oh, shit, I forgot I had any.

Bio

I'm a generally chill gomboblin that can be kinda particular. I grew up with plenty of electronics and video games, mostly with games like Final Fantasy, Zelda, and StarCraft. Lots of Nintendo. Dark Cloud is pretty sick. That's a lot of variety, and I do like to play a lot of different games. I like to blend magic and technology in my writing, bringing fantasy into space and sci-fi.

Magic in space is something that I find isn't done very much. Airships and spaceships could make for some cool centerpieces. Skies of Arcadia did a fantastic job of this. Perhaps that's not in space, exactly, but it's pretty close. Some of those ships may as well be space ships.

"Two pounds." Serenity corrected, slipping the card back into her dress. "Lumina will be in touch." Sure enough, the shop keeper would receive a communications message from Serene Designs Research Vessel, Stellar Seer. The message stated that a shipping drone would be by shortly to pick up a previously placed order.

"Tell me about your cloak first, shopkeep." She suspected she might want to leave, once she learns what's in the drum. She takes another puff of the space moss she'd broken off previously, finishing the sample amount.
"Ah, mnn... no. I'll put you in touch with my ship's AI, instead. You understand. Even if it's legal here, I..." Serenity shakes her head, shuffling her shoulders slightly. "I'm just used to a more cautious procedure. As for the amount..." Crates? Goodness, she wasn't a distributor. She moves with the Shopkeeper to the altar. "Two pounds will suffice, in addition to the half ounce I'll be taking with me. Now, how able that information?" The business woman slips a finger under the hem of the chest piece of her dress, through a little window in the center showing off her cleavage, and she produces a card for payment. "What's in the drum, and what's with your cloak? You don't see runes everyday... Let's see." She starts to look a little more closely at the runes, seeing if she can pinpoint what kind of runes they are. She is a huge nerd, after all.
Oh yeah. That it does. I thought that was odd.
Oh, and. We should treat Lumina as an NPC. Unless you're encouraging us to make decisions like what's illegal where 'n stuff? 'caaause I realized I don't know if Lucky Shots treats it as an illegal substance.

I guess I could also just ask here, since that makes sense.

We should chat in here more, I think. :3
"Something like Space Weed usually isn't worth the trouble of hiding it inside of a toy bunny. I'd have to look at you weird and call you super paranoid if you did that. The secret compartment would be acceptable simply because it's cool." Aah, was it not illegal here? Asking her to sample it right in his store... Well, it wasn't surprising. The presence of the Syndicate here must provide a strong influence toward its legalization. "Here? Well, if you're alright with it, I suppose."

The woman smiles warmly and reaches into the box, pulling off a small piece and holding it up. Her eyes begin to glow softly as she shapes energy, forming two separate, small barriers to grind up the plant matter. She then merges the barriers together and sparks it with her power. Heat enough to ignite plant matter wasn't hard, especially when it burns so easily. She seems to be concentrating a bit to filter air through her barrier but nothing else. She inhales and holds, considering the product before nodding. It was satisfactory. A moment passes, and she exhales. "I'll take a half. And, uh... how much could you get me? I'd like more sent to my ship, if you could."
Welcome to space, sir Robo. I look forward to playing with ya.

Uuuhg... I didn't think 7 AM existed... or 8 AM.
"Yes, well, I'm sure all sorts of people like to partake. Even the straight-laced." Serenity smiles softly and touches the fingers of her right hand around her right collar bone. "Even someone like me." She remains where she was for a moment, watching the shopkeeper stride away. Her feet move to follow but stop suddenly, her attention turning to a source beyond the shop. Something had released a large amount of energy nearby... She relays another message back to her ship, bidding her A.I. to investigate, then proceeds to follow the shop keep to the back. As she passes the drum, she eyes it cautiously. Whatever was within could have been dangerous, she should be careful.

"Oooh, don't tell me there's a..." secret compartment behind the bookshelf. She giggles softly to herself, shaking her head. "That's quite cliche, if so. Tastefully so."
So he knew what it was. She was hoping she'd be able to luck out, and he'd just sell it to her as a necklace. Well, no matter. She'd have to analyze the paw later, but for now... the shopkeep was speaking to her. "Something else I would be interested in buying? Hmm..." She considers the question, glancing briefly around the shop at the various goods. Ah... "You carry Nostrop Oil, and the smell of incense is rather intense, isn't it? I wonder... you wouldn't happen to have any trade with the Teladi, would you? There's a particular product they're known for that I'd be interested in. You wouldn't happen to have trade in that, would you?"
X3: Albion Prelude is an improved version of Terran Conflict. If you're going to go backward in the series, X2 is about as far as I'd go. You lose too many convenient things going past that one.

I dunno how I feel about X: Rebirth, their newest game. I need to play it more.
The smell was pretty strong in here, too. Probably to beat down the scent of a bunch of weird stuff, but it was still an overpower array of scents. This is one of the shadier thrift stores I've ever been in, certainly... She clearly underestimated how sketchy this place could get, her eyes glancing around the store. She might have been better served by scoping out a pawn shop, but she could go to a place like that later. She gave a little jump as the thrift shop owner swat the drum full of... something... with a metal rod. "Oh, my..." She frowns softly, approaching the counter at the front and facing the owner.

Quite the creature. A split jaw, and a prehensile head tendril. Not exactly a pleasant appearance, but he fit in well enough with the shop. What drew her attention was the cloak. Glowing runes? Runes, now... really. "Might you interest me? Well, I suppose there are a couple things that have caught my eye... that necklace there. Your cloak is certainly an interesting garment, though I would understand if you don't want to part with it. I still want to know about it, though. And... er... might I ask what's in the drum...?" She had the feeling that it was something... of ill repute.
