Orthodox Easter has arrived, which means my time for replying to stuff is going to be close to nonexistent. I apologize.

It's been a stressful past few weeks for me, so I apologize for how that may affect the quality of my posts and my general grumpiness.

I feel extremely tired and stressed right now, so responses might not be of the highest quality, I apologize.

Well hello, what are you doing here, my friend?
Well, if you're still here and you wish to know more about me, then:
I'm a 22 fella who's currently in college and is trying to RP while attending college at the same time. I've been into roleplaying since about the mid 2013's, though I was really bad at it during the first year or so. I "migrated" to RPGuild around 4 years ago since the previous site had banned roleplaying due to a large influx of newbie roleplayers polluting the site with shitty RP's. Either way, since then I've been on this site quite regularly, except during a few occasions when real life took precedence and I had to vanish for a month or two.
As for writing capabilities, I'd like to think myself right now that I'm somewhere in-between casual and advanced levels of writing, though if I'm really into an RP, I'll tend to force myself to write something advanced. As for writing in general, you don't have to worry about that, I really love writing and I do it all the time even when I'm not roleplaying, though there are "dry" periods when my creativity seems to vanish for no discernible reason. General interests include most types of fantasy writing as long as it's properly written, though it has happened in the past for me to be interested in something when I thought I would like it, so if you have an idea and you want to roleplay, then pitch it to me and I'll tell you if I like it or not. As for smut, well, I'm not actively looking for one, but if you think you have an interesting idea, then feel free to pitch it to me.
Well, that's about it, if you want to know more personal stuff about me, or simply wish to have someone to talk to about any topic you so desire, then feel free to PM me.
Iosef withdraws the blade, and gets on to riding the horse that wasn't terribly farther away. He's quite a bit wealthier, but he had burned a few precious minutes; fleeing to the next settlement would be a priority for him now.
The horse runs as fast as it can and soon, the forests begin to thin out, leaving place to large plains mostly traveled by caravan and nomadic species that come or go towards the Endless Deserts to trade with the native populations of gnolls and desert people. He encounters one such nomadic band heading towards the Endless Deserts
The caravan was not comprised of humans, it was mostly comprised of goblins, hobgoblins and the occasional gnolls acting as the band's protectors and warriors. Two gnolls had already seen him and they were heading towards Iosef, though they had no hostile look on them.
"Get back in line, will ya?" one of the gnolls says. "Your chieftan is going to deduce our pay if any of you is missing." one of the gnolls says
Iosef stops, and holds his blade's edge into the murloc's neck, though not too deep so as to kill him. He holds out his hand for the man to toss or put the money in.
The young man puts the coins into Iosef' hand and says, his voice trembling a bit:
"Now please leave us, ok?" He asks.
He could see in the distance a small group of warriors heading this way. They hadn't seen them yet, but should they notice him, they'd probably attack him.
Iosef grins, and slashes at the young man to drive him back. He then stomps on the murloc's head a few times, before fumbling with the helmet.
"Hold it, already!" he says. "I'll pay you ten platinum coins to just leave the poor murloc alone!" he says getting ten shiny coins out of his pouch. "It's a great deal, if you ask me!"
The helmet was only usable to murlocs as the entire armor was custom-made for the murlocs to use, though it would still probably sell at good price.
@BytheSpleen I know and I posted somewhere around here asking how you could stomp on the murloc's head since he had a steel helmet on. I also asked why you didn't accept the guy's offer since you're gonna need money sooner or later.
Maryvale skims her own blade along the Orc's, side-stepping the Orc and aiming to cut his spine in half.
And thanks to her strength and the orc's lack of one, the sword cuts clean through the spine of the orc now leaving it's upper body to crawl for Maryvalve.
The numbers of skeletons slowly dropped and with that, the intent of the murlocs to fight the humans, who so far have proven untouchable, as such, they retreat back into their swamps.
Backstory: Colmaz was born in a remote mountain village, far removed from civilization. His father was a hunter, and his mother was a herbalist. These two professions influenced his eventual decision to become an alchemist, specifically of the potion-brewing kind. His childhood was idealistic, and his parents wanted him to pursue a career at the town's lumber mill. He, however, was much more interested in the sciences surrounding the many flora and fauna around the village. reading some of his mother's potion books, he grew fascinated and got his hands on as much reading material as he could. He eventually headed down the mountain in search of more knowledge, and half a year later he transmuted his first potion. He made the long journey to the Alchemist's College, a tiny and obscure institution that few had learned of and less had been interested in, with the hopes of becoming a Master Alchemist. However, there is some inequality among alchemists, with each school of thought believing they are the best one. While Colmaz wanted to be a potion-brewer, the least respectable sort of alchemist, most others wanted to modify ore into gold and other fantastical pursuits. In the hopes of keeping Colmaz far, far away from the college, they told him he'd have to bring them a legendary weapon in order to gain entrance. Colmaz happily obliged, and he's been looking for Earthrent ever since. Personality: Colmaz is definitely not one for conflict, and he feels bad about needless death, too. He's friendly enough, if a bit lacking in social skills, and he likes to think the best of everyone. He's fairly gullible, and he likes to do 'the right thing'. Some think he's dimwitted, but really, he's just optimistic. His biggest flaw would be how easy he is to mislead and manipulate.
Powers or Special Weapon?: Steel Dagger: Colmaz's last resort when it comes to defending himself. The sheath is soaked in a poison that causes dizziness and nausea, long enough for Colmaz to run away. If untreated, the poison could spread to vital areas and kill the person it's used on in a matter of days. Miniature Crossbow: Colmaz's tiny crossbow, small enough to be easily concealable. The downside of this is that it's not very strong, and can't puncture most armors. This is mostly used for the application of potions and poisons from a long distance, keeping him out of the fight. Many times in his travels, Colmaz has been forced to use a little Sleeping Root on those who would seek to harm him. Poisons and Potions: Colmaz, being an alchemist, knows how to prepare a variety of concoctions to suit your needs. He can fix up a powder to help you fall asleep, a salve to help with bad dreams, and a poison to kill you in hours. Rudimentary Medical Skills: Colmaz can use some of his alchemy ingredients to form poultices and remedies for some illnesses. He's also proficient at cleaning and dressing wounds. Natural Knowledge: Colmaz can identify almost every flower, root, weed or berry you could encounter. More often than not, Colmaz knows a use for them, and he definitely knows if eating it is going to kill you. Basic Alchemical Knowledge: While Colmaz has no intention of pursuing the famous wood-into-gold side of alchemy, he's still read about it. He knows the principles behind it, and can use them in a variety of ways, mainly drawing fancy circles on the ground with a stick and hoping something happens/ Light Feet: From when he went on hunting trips with his father as a boy, Colmaz has learned how to sneak quietly and be undetected in the forest. This has proved invaluable in his travels, as he isn't the sort of person who would last very long in a fight without support from others.
On a side note, this is the first roleplay I've signed up for, and I hope that's okay! I saw it recommended as a good one to look into on the "Introduce Yourself!" forum.
A character that doesn't lean on fighting, hmm? Accepted!
Can I interject here and say that a post length is a really inaccurate measure of time? Like, some posts have hours passing between them wheras some have seconds?
Posts that measure a set time are also quite inaccurate since the set time could pass without anyone posting anything...
Gorun joined in the fray, confident that he would win with the help of his allies. He tossed a golden coin into a pack of murloc, whispering something beneath his breath and then watching the coin let off an explosion. Lustro was one of his favorite creations, most often used to simply start fires.
The dwarf then joined the melee, using his halberd to crush the skeletons that stand within arms reach. "C'mon ye cowards, ye living shit of undeath!" The knight was somewhat curious about why some of his compatriots chose to use small swords to crush their opponents, but he chose not to say anything about that. He whacked off another Skeletons head, glad that the horde was thinning.
The coin did kill a few murlocs, the rest, however, kept charging right at the group stone and copper spears ahead. As soon as he smashed one of the skeletons, a larger murloc armed with a human longsword and a iron swung his sword at him.
The murloc clearly did not know how to properly swing a sword, swinging it as if it was a club, not a edged weapon.
