Orthodox Easter has arrived, which means my time for replying to stuff is going to be close to nonexistent. I apologize.

It's been a stressful past few weeks for me, so I apologize for how that may affect the quality of my posts and my general grumpiness.

Well hello, what are you doing here, my friend?
Well, if you're still here and you wish to know more about me, then:
I'm a 22 fella who's currently in college and is trying to RP while attending college at the same time. I've been into roleplaying since about the mid 2013's, though I was really bad at it during the first year or so. I "migrated" to RPGuild around 4 years ago since the previous site had banned roleplaying due to a large influx of newbie roleplayers polluting the site with shitty RP's. Either way, since then I've been on this site quite regularly, except during a few occasions when real life took precedence and I had to vanish for a month or two.
As for writing capabilities, I'd like to think myself right now that I'm somewhere in-between casual and advanced levels of writing, though if I'm really into an RP, I'll tend to force myself to write something advanced. As for writing in general, you don't have to worry about that, I really love writing and I do it all the time even when I'm not roleplaying, though there are "dry" periods when my creativity seems to vanish for no discernible reason. General interests include most types of fantasy writing as long as it's properly written, though it has happened in the past for me to be interested in something when I thought I would like it, so if you have an idea and you want to roleplay, then pitch it to me and I'll tell you if I like it or not. As for smut, well, I'm not actively looking for one, but if you think you have an interesting idea, then feel free to pitch it to me.
Well, that's about it, if you want to know more personal stuff about me, or simply wish to have someone to talk to about any topic you so desire, then feel free to PM me.
Yeah, he'll be just a bit taller than most people and yeah, he'll definitely be in OTO. Also, since you gave me an idea, he will be a guy who has a particular distaste for the undead.
Soga had wished to find out more about what they needed to do, about what what to expect from this rescue mission, if there would be any potential "villains" that would ambush them, if there would be any other surprises one would have to expect. However, one of his teammates, Kiko in particular was not of the same opinion as him as she quickly grabbed both a map and the three green ribbons without even looking at the path the three of them would have to take. He was a bit disappointed in having such a trigger happy companion, even if her quirk did prove quite useful against large groups of possible enemies.
He wordlessly took one of the ribbons from the hyper-energetic girl and glanced at the green path on the map. Not only was it the forest route, where his bird's eye view would be the least effective, it was also the longest route of all of them. "Chief, just before you go, I feel obligated to inform you that yo... we have chosen the longest path to take." He said to Kiko, looking ever so slightly worried at her, before his gaze lingered on the other students, their respective ribbons and their respective paths. His sight fell upon the Red team, formed of Azukina, Koumori and Akeno, then looked at the map, seeing that their paths would not intersect. He clicked his tongue in slight frustration and looked back at their "team leader" who was now urging the three of them to just go already.
"Well, I think I'll be most useful if I fly above you all, so that I can see further ahead, I'll still be within hearing range of you all, so if you need something just speak a bit louder." With that, his wings unfurled, though he did not take off just yet, not without waiting for the confirmation of the "leader" of the Bullet Cavalry. Even if this team would not be a permanent one, orders from "superiors" would still have to be followed... except if his own personal needs were greater than that of his current "superior."
Soga is disappointed with Kiko's choice of map since he has the least visibility there, he is also annoyed that the paths of his team and the red team don't intersect for some reason. Despite the lower visibility, Soga offers to fly up in the sky to scout whilst staying within shouting range of Kiko and Souta.
Personality: Verran is a proud and energetic person, always seeking a new challenge for him to overcome, be that challenge a physical one, as he often prefers, or even a mental one, something unusual for the martial focused orcs. Socially, he is quite a friendly fellow to most people, however, like orcs often tend to do, he values those that show strength more than those who would rather use words to solve their problems. Like all orcs, however, Verran hates being bound, hates being ruled by those he deems unworthy, but loves to impose his own fair(as he likes to think) rule over others.
Appearance:
Combat Appearance:
Height: Orcs by blood are taller than many other races, as such, it is not uncommon for orcs to tower over people of most other races and Verran is no different, easily reaching a height of around 7 feet.
Abilities: While he has no significant magic prowess other than some self-empowering spells, Verran can easily use these spells alongside his own already significant combat prowess to help him dominate in combat. However, since orcs are not naturally great spellcasters, they use their own lifeforce to allow them to give them a temporary boost in combat. After the effect of the spell wears of, the user is often left extremely exhausted.
(Sorry, I went a bit ham on the description of the past of the orcs a bit.)
The distant, faraway lands of Orsis were not a pleasant place for anyone to live, not even for a peoples as martial as that of Verran's and they often had to just scrape by for the essentials whilst fighting on the distant plains. However, though their lives were difficult, this was the place of their ancestors, of their spirits, they could not simply leave them here with the savage beastly folk that inhabited their lands to be forgotten forever.
However, one old orcish warrior, who had already proven himself as a skilled warrior in countless fights against the beastfolk protested to this decision, saying that far to west lay more fertile lands, lands with enough bounty that would be able to feed them all and help them thrive. This orc challenged the authority of the orcish "king" who would use the name of the spirits to have his own people be bound to such a meager lifestyle.
In the following months, many warriors and priests who shared this old warrior's opinion flocked to his side, quickly increasing in number enough to challenge to current "king's" authority over the orcish people and for a while, it seemed that Orsis would end up in a civil war. However, that did not come to pass as this seasoned warrior simply took his followers and began moving west, destroying any beastfolk tribe in their path on their way to this new promised land.
The trek west took a great effort even for the hardy orcish folk and hundreds perished both to disease and to raids from other nomadic groups. However, after a hard two months of near constant travel, the orcish folk had finally reached their destination, only to see that they had not been there first, a confederation of tribes of various races already inhabited the land and they were not to keen to let the orcs join them, showing outright hostility towards the old warrior and his people.
Thankfully, another king beyond this obstacle of theirs sent them an offer. The orcs and said kingdom would attack this troublesome tribal confederation from two sides and in return, any lands the orcs occupied would theirs to claim as their new kingdom. The young warrior accepted the offer and a joint strike was launched on the confederation, who, though valiantly resisted both the orcs and the neighboring kingdom, the pressure on them was too great and they lost their lands.
The orcs occupied nearly half of the former confederation's territory and as it was promised, the kingdom that had helped them allowed the orcs to keep these lands to establish as their own. The old warrior's mission was done and he was proclaimed King by the orcs there. He named his land Orsis, like his own distant former home and ruled it fairly until his death only two years into his rule.
The new king of Orsis would be none other than the former king's own son, as inheritance laws dictated. The moment he ascended the throne, this new ruler would change his name from a regular orcish name to that similar of the folk nearby. The name he chose was Verran, apparently the name of a old hero in these lands. And to show that they respected him as much as they had respected his father, the neighboring king sent an old valued treasure of theirs, a very large egg that was apparently the only part of Mivo still left.
However, not even two weeks into his rule and discontent already brewed in Orsis with the death of the old ruler. The peoples that had once formed the confederation they inhabited wished to see these orcs gone, and what better way to see these orcs gone other than to assassinate their ruler. And, it almost worked. They had planned everything, they had planned to attack Verran only when he would be left almost unguarded, they had planned to equip these assassins with the best equipment they could muster, they were even able to set the palace on fire.
The one thing they had not planned, however, was the hatching of the egg itself and the beast that emerged from it. It dealt with the assassins with incredible ease, it even helped him stabilize his rule over these lands and it gave Verran an idea. His father had carved his people a kingdom to call their own as a home, however, with such power in his hands, Verran set his eyes on something far greater, the eternal throne that history spoke.
It was a shameful thing to do for Verran, it was a shameful thing for an orc to do, to run like this. And though it made his blood boil, his instincts, even his own bodyguards knew what was best and had urged him to run away, as through living, he would be able to preserve Orsis and it's people. So, he ran with sword in hand, he ran away leaving his men to be cut down like animals by the people who had ambushed them. At first, he thought that these people might have belonged to the races that were unhappy with orcs rule over them, however, among the assassins he had seen many of his own folk cut down by other orcs without any sort of remorse towards their fellows, and now they were chasing him like hunters chasing a wounded animal.
Verran entered the throne room of his castle and slammed the doors shut. The throne room itself, unlike many other castles of it's age, did not have many lavish decorations. Even the throne itself was a large simple stone seat standing at the head of the room atop some stairs. The only sort of decoration the throne room had was the large obsidian egg placed on a large stone pedestal in the middle of the room for all to see. It was said that this egg was the only remnant of the great dragon Mivo, the terror that had nearly ended the world centuries ago. And now, even if the egg itself was unable to hatch, the prestige that came with owning this egg, a bit of the draconic terror of centuries ago was immense.
However, the barren obsidian egg was the last thing on Verran's mind. In the distance, there was no longer the clangor of steel, but the stomping of boots as his assassins began to move in. Fine, if this was his end, then he would die fighting like a true warrior, with sword in hand and a grin on his face as he mowed down as many of his enemies as he could.
The first man to enter was a human warrior of some sorts wearing an exotic weapon and using an equally exotic weapon. This warrior, however did not even have time to react before Verran's sword was buried halfway through his skull, ending his life nearly instantly. The second assassin to enter the room was just that, some sort of hooded man, wearing a cloak and using two short swords as his weapons. He could not see if he was human, elven or otherwise, but Verran did not care as the man's life did not last that long either as he stumbled for a moment in an attempt to dodge one of the orcish monarch's slashes, this stumble cost the man his head, blood gushing out from his neck as he fell down to the floor.
This continued for a few more minutes with more than half a dozen assassins meeting their grisly end at his hands. In his bloodrage, Verran let out a bloodcurdling roar as he was covered in the blood of his enemies. With this roar, the assassins looked at one another and left, slamming the doors to the throne room, probably realizing that fighting him like this was not wise. For a moment, Verran looked confused. Had he been able to beat the assassins back, had be been able to thwart this attempt on his life?
However, as he pondered that, he sniffed the air and felt the smell of fire. As he placed his hands on the door to his throne room and saw it was blocked, the orcish monarch realized what had just happened, he was now stuck here, to be burned alive. He roared once more, enraged at what was happening, but unable to do anything to escape, unable to fight anyone, he would die this most dishonorable death.
In his rage, Verran started slamming his sword at the thick doors in a fruitless attempt to break them as flames began to engulf the room. However, what he failed in realizing now was that his salvation did not rest with through the door, but in the obsidian egg that was now resting behind him.
