@Irredeemable Honestly, the reason I didn't mention it is so that I could put it relatively close to someone else's thing since I don't want it to be like everyone is in the American southwest doing stuff with each other and I'm all the way in Montana or something.

@Andrew Blade Honestly I just looked up what the most common/popular ammunition and firearms where. The Church is in it for the long haul since they believe eventually ammo will run out and producing it will become extremely difficult as the chemicals needed will no longer be produced and thus are trying to shift towards a medieval style of armory with some muzzle loaders they can make themselves.

Abilities:
Magrino prefers the title of "magician" over "mage". Many of his abilities are performance or circus-based befitting his appearance and former profession. Most adept at illusions, Magrino also can use magic to allow him to preform gravity-defying jumps and stunts as well as shoot out playing razor sharp cards and ropes. The only "true" battle magic he knows is a variation of fire magic he calls "Star Sparkle" where it looks like he can shoot out roman candles

Starting Gear:
Outside of his ringmaster costume, Magrino only has three items of note:

• Gilded Cane - Just a normal, if not an especially decorated walking cane
• Boots of Balance - Helping him in his seemingly impossible jumps and landings, the boots boost his jump distance and strength as well as allow him to fall great distances without falling and balance himself on the slimmest of strings
• Smiling Masquerade - Magrino's signature mask, it hides a burnt face and allows its wearer to magically see in the night, through smoke and even invisible creatures to a degree

Personality/Goals:

• Become famous and have the crowds chant his name
• To find the people who destroyed his circus and family
• Rather strange and esoteric with a slight ego streak
• Confident in a haughty, sneering way
• Extremely flamboyant and a fame-hog

Backstory:
Magrino's first memories were that of being brought in by a circus having been left out in the wilderness to die as a baby. Although having a kindling of magic, he was accepted into the traveling circus that was full of societal outcasts. Although some would say he never had a family, Magrino would say he had the best family in the world. His father was Ringmaster Charcal the Great, his mother the beautiful beast tamer Evelynn, his uncles were Boris the Strongman and Honkers the Jester, his aunts were the twin Dancers Anna and Amma, he had more siblings then he cared to count (but never cared to love) and had several pet snakes, lions and birds.

He would grow up in this environment that some would call unfitting but Magrino called perfect. In time, he became one of the best performers in the entire circus and was in line to become heir to the title of Ringmaster. Trained by his fellow acrobats and performers at day and tutored in magic by the local hag and fellow magicians, Magrino aspired to become the greatest showman.

However, one night, Magrino would awake to see his entire life burnt to ash. The sole survivor of the unnatural fire, he would don the mantle of Ringmaster, not to lead the circus, but to avenge them. Within his head, he now travels the realm putting down rouge magics while searching for the arsonists. the souls of his past echoing it. THE CHURCH OF THE FALLING STAR

THE SANCTUARY

Once a crumbling rural stone chapel, the Church of the Falling Star has dutifully rebuilt and fortified into a self-proclaims "fortress-monastery". Complete with communal dining hall, sleeping cells, a library, an armory-forge, a radio communications room with a "Pillar of Light" (broadcasting beacon), and underground cellars, the Church is confident it can weather the "Star Fall". Many of these additions have been tacked on to the side or on top of the old chapel, forcing its silhouette into a new, much larger shape.

Farming plots and animal pens for sheep, chickens and pigs have been set up with the animals provided by farmers who have seen the light. A few separate buildings been set up to act as guard houses, outdoor workshops, communal grounds and storage barns. A rudimentary wall of logs, sheet metal and homemade barbed wire marks the outer wall of the compound although some farms and "guard stations" (read: glorified bathtubs basically) mark the "frontier". Loud speakers are common in the territory of the Church and used to signal prayer and other messages while numerous flags and other iconography is used to display who now owns these lands and the great solar deity who protects them.

The vaults of the Church contain several years' worth of nonperishable food even though they plan to rely on their farmland and farming knowledge. Common over the counter medicines, vitamin supplements and even a few prescription painkillers along with medical kits and gasmasks are used to treated wounds but the Followers of the Falling Star hope to use their own herb greenhouse to make herbal remedies as well as prayer. There are few if any power tools and but plenty of toolboxes. Most important of all is the raw material stockpiles of logs, scrap metal and fabrics the Church possess and uses to craft anything they cannot get their hands on.

The armory contains weapons of simpler designs, the Grand Inquisitor knowing that they will not be able to rely on modern, complex firearms forever has opted to arm his followers in a more basic manner. As such, nearly all fire arms are bolt action or revolvers:

• Remington Model 700 Rifles w/ 4,000 rounds of .308 Winchester
• Smith and Wesson Model 686 Revolvers w/ 7,000 rounds of .357 Magnum
• Henry Lever Action Carbines w/ 7,000 rounds of .357 Magnum
• Double Barrel Shotguns w/ 3,000 of 12 Gauge Buck
• Crossbows w/ 7,000 Bolts
• Homemade Flamethrowers to Purge
• Axes, Machetes, Homemade Swords, Hammers

Finally here once more. I'm having an idea of a group of cultists who have taken over an old church (or was formed from the church) and is now fortifying it into a fortress monastery or something. Although this idea might require a bunch of "nameless" NPCs who don't get the lime lihgt.

My other idea is a group of road warriors/nomads who act as traders and caravaners, smelling profit in the end of the world.
