@Themerlinhawk Can I just ask you to check out my character sheet? It's on the last page, and I need some help finishing it up.

So, I have a rough idea of who I want my character to be - sort of. I'm doing research as I write him, so that any info on hacking I use is accurate. For example, hackers and crackers (malicious hackers) tend to use handles - basically nicknames.

Markus Jordan

Name: Markus Jordan

Alias/Nickname: blu_drag0n

Rank: (Not sure right now)

Appearance:

Under his visor are the eyes that nobody can ever decide if they are blue or grey. Even his answer varies from time to time.

Age: (No idea how long life expectancy is for all of the races, especially since in the char page there's a human who's a couple hundred years old)

Race: (Not sure at the moment - human, or human-like)

Personality: Generally a laid back individual who jokes around, Markus tends to spend long hours by himself, working with codes. Well, not quite. He has Ark, after all. He can come off as antisocial, or aloof, but if he can relax around a particular person, then his attitude is much more welcoming.

Biography/history: Markus is the only son of Lauren Jordan and Paladin Elain Luxien. Paladin Elain and his squad were pronounced M.I.A, presumed dead, less than a week before the boy was born. And his mother was not long for the world, either, dying during the childbirth, and entrusting Markus to his aunt's care. Growing up, he never really had questions about where his parents had gone. And despite his Aunt's best attempts, he never seemed to be passionate about anything. The young boy was simply just content to let the days pass by in that small little world of his. Of course, as he grew older, that world grew larger. And as that world grew larger, more people came into it. (Insert something here)

Markus' aunt ran a small cafe, by the name of The Blue Dragon. They offered breakfasts and lunches, snacks and drinks, and had a good signal that allowed people to use their portable devices to their heart's content. They closed mid-afternoon, and one day a week they didn't open. (More story to be added)

Reason for recruitment: A good number of hackers are hired after breaking in to companies. Obviously some also get incarcerated, but why let them go to waste? (This is my primary idea, but there are a few other things I could come up with.)

Strength of Will: (No idea. I need a bit of advice on this.)

Magic: (I have pretty much no idea. One of the things I need advice on)

God relations: (You already know what I'm going to say, don't you?)

Tech:

• V95ZO36 or Zoe, an artificial intelligence Markus created himself. She can easily transfer between platforms, and holds an expansive database. While she does not always completely agree with what Markus does, she often concedes given that there's little chance to turn back without getting imprisoned.

I'm still working on the rest. Speaking of rest, I think I need some. I woke up early again.

Flipped an internet coin, span a wheel. Both of them told me vampire, so I'm rebelling against fate and going demon.

I can't decide if I want my character to be a demon, a vampire or something else. All I know is 'fire'.

"Brothers... we are being watched."

Cole heard the voice, and glanced momentarily out of his hiding place. He found himself gazing at a sight that struck him to his very core... an Inquisitor. Pressing himself back into the shadows, he could feel his heart beating faster. An Inquisitor. He'd had his run-ins with the Heaven's Eyes during his time here, but this? This was already outside what he was comfortable with. He went out of his way to avoid Inquistors!

Then again, going on this mission had practically guaranteed an encounter.

But Cole saw Ekaterine, Ariah and Aura preparing to fight, taking up positions. Presumably Sam would be, too, but he wasn't in Cole's line of sight. Trying to breathe deeply and calmly, he reached inside his coat and pulled out the gun he'd never fired to this day. Carefully checking that each slot was filled, he turned off the safety. That might be about to change.

"...Gods protect me." he whispered.

Okay, so I'm currently working on my next IC - and have just remembered that nobody has learned Cole's name yet. The only current solution I've come up with is it happens after our clearly inevitable fight where he or Daniel explains that Cole is a non-combatant. Any other ideas? Because sooner the better.

I'm kinda interested in joining... I've actually sort of been floating around for a little bit. I might be able to get a character fixed up by about this weekend? I'm thinking older brother figure at the moment.

@Themerlinhawk I'm trying to figure out what a character I'd play would be - there's a lot of info that needs to be factored in - but so far all I know is I'd like him to be a hacker/tech-lover - which I'm imagining places him at either Paladin or Artisan rank. Thoughts? Also, why am I up at 4AM?
