Bio

Hey, there. Myst here, as you've probably guessed. Can't exactly write in other people's bios, can you? But, you're probably reading this for a reason, so I'll get to it.

I prefer high-Casual and Advanced games, in a medieval, fantasy or sci-fi setting, because that's the sort of nerd I am.

I'm a thinker - I've thought a lot on certain things, and am firm in my beliefs. So you could ask me what I thought about a good few things and I could give a well-reasoned answer. Or a less reasoned answer based on my morals.

TheCharactersOfMyst - This is my storage for past and present characters, and where I might occasionally go for nostalgia and/or recycling a character I've used before.

Okay, I think I finished my character. Posting the new one below, let me know if anything needs changing.

@Quoll And I'm done! If there's anything you think doesn't fit or you want me to change, let me know.

Name: Inigo Sombra (meaning 'Indigo Shadow')
Age: Just under three centuries, still considered a child by demonic standards, he looks about 18.
Family Role: Older brother.
Placement and Design of Contract Seal: The contract seal is located on his left wrist, resembling a full-colour tattoo, each of the petals slowly fading into flames.

History:
Inigo is a Flame Demon. His purpose isn't like those of higher Ranks – those who feed off of emotions or events – but he does have a mischievous side which he will occasionally put into practice, should there be a convincing reason for it. He left the Realm when he was still quite young, only seventy, and wandered the human world, curious about it and the people whom were the obsession of many of his peers.
As he wandered, he thought about a good few things, and learned a good amount more. He also had to depend on his wits when he found himself in some particularly tricky situations, in pranks gone wrong or when he'd encounter those who were aware of his true nature. Eventually, though, his wanderlust brought him into the modern age, and he found himself travelling around a whole lot more, trying to experience all these new things. But he began to want for somewhere to belong, too.
Then he found it. One day, at dawn, he found himself outside a house, and made eye contact a little girl. It was then that he felt an intense burning on his wrist - only to discover the Contract Seal.

Abilities:
Smokin’: Inigo can exchange his human form for what resembles a cloud of black smoke. This form allows him to travel at extreme speeds, and get through small gaps, provided he stays out of direct sunlight – at which point he will immediately revert to human.
Candle next to the Inferno: He can summon the smallest flickering flame, or a raging bonfire, and retains full control of it as long as he isn't distracted. However, what he can summon depends on his current emotional state.
Demonic Strength: As many demons obviously possess, Inigo has greater natural strength than a human.
New Dawn: Though he doesn't necessarily need to sleep, he does need to rest. And in order to regain his power he needs to experience the light of the new day. This can leave him drained if he is unable to get there.

Occupation/Work: Has a part-time job as a barista in a coffee-shop. He's known for always serving drinks at the perfect temperature.

Personality Traits and Quirks: Whilst his joking nature tends to lead people to assume, Inigo is actually quite hot-headed. He only gets angry when sensitive topics are brought up to him, though.

He's also fiercely protective, and cares a lot more than he lets on. This leads him to go to the aid of anybody close to him in his life. It likely stems from being alone for the better part of two centuries.

And lastly, Inigo knows quite a bit about the world and the things in it, giving him a brand of logical thinking that few others tend to have. It lets him pick up on things others might not usually notice.
Death by the ouroboros, whereupon the snake eats its own tail, representing the endless cycle.
Granted, but the edge is so sharp it kills everyone who reads it. (sorry, I'm not good at this...)

I wish I had friends.
Am I still in? I'm trying to finish off my char app, but I'm having a little bit of difficulty with it.
I can also offer a work-around for collaborative posts - a website called Piratepad, which lets you work together on a piece instantly - so if there's characterisation you don't think fits your character, you can change it, or offer other ways of writing a sentence.
@Themerlinhawk Checking in for the headcount. Just trying to sort some things out.
The character I created for my own RP. I decided to close it, but may be willing to revisit the concept.

I've got an idea for a role play that I really like... well, when I say an idea, it's sort of recycled from an RP I was in that died not too long ago, but I was working on something else before that, and now I've combined the two.
The problem is, I'm having difficulty writing an interesting introduction to the world I'm trying to create. I'm good at writing in general - it's just this part I've got difficulty with. I also worry that it's too ambitious, or that it won't appeal to people, and all that standard jazz.
Is there anybody out there that would be willing to help me with this?
Yeah, I'm good. I've just been unexpectedly busy.
