Hey, there. Myst here, as you've probably guessed. Can't exactly write in other people's bios, can you? But, you're probably reading this for a reason, so I'll get to it.

I prefer high-Casual and Advanced games, in a medieval, fantasy or sci-fi setting, because that's the sort of nerd I am.

I'm a thinker - I've thought a lot on certain things, and am firm in my beliefs. So you could ask me what I thought about a good few things and I could give a well-reasoned answer. Or a less reasoned answer based on my morals.

TheCharactersOfMyst - This is my storage for past and present characters, and where I might occasionally go for nostalgia and/or recycling a character I've used before.

@GreivousKhan Hmmm... apologies, but no, he wouldn't have been level 15; by the Tiers of Play, characters of levels 11 and higher are capable of combating threats to continents, which would bring him to a level of fame that wouldn't really fit this scenario. In that zone, if you made him around mid-thirties to early forties, and say he used to be level six (defender of cities), that would be more within my comfort zone as a storyteller and Dungeon Master. If you're set on the retired one-armed warrior thing, though, I won't stop you. It'll come with a few major costs, but could also be restored with a spell later on, if you were willing. Variant Human is okay, but I'll need to check the skill/language/feat you take.

Oh, btw, another couple of things for both of you; @Torack

The character application sheet on the first page is outdated, so if you could use this one, I'd be grateful. Character images are optional, but very much appreciated if you can find one. Please fill things out as you see fit, make sure to change the character colour to your own choosing, and read it carefully - it might be a bit of a long line of text in some areas, but the format is there to keep things nice and aesthetically pleasing. 🙃

Also, I will need a sort-of writing sample from both of you. From the perspective of your character, I need a 'short story' about the day your character spent in the town of Greenrest before the attack began (just use generic details about the town if you need it; there's no wall, there's only one temple, etcetera). It doesn't have to be a long thing; I just need an idea of your writing style.

Yes, I know, this is a lot. It's part of my charm. 😂 I can be very particular about certain things and how they have to be a certain way, and this is my first time running a game like this, but so far it seems to have been okay by the others.

If you need any help with solidifying your ideas or are happy to take suggestions, I'm willing to provide. I've already got a couple for your guy, Khan, if you want.
@Torack Hmm... well, @GreivousKhan has already expressed interest in the game, and I usually only six players, maximum, but if you both want to make an application, I'll see what I think of them and consider if both of you would fit.

copypasta, anyone? Khan, this does have a few extra things on the end.

The basic summary of the IC is this; the original cast, being Vaal the Kobold Sorcerer (Tangletail), Rhaeyla the Aasimar Monk, though she appears to be human (Eleven), Caw the Kenku Rogue (Vertigo), Surina the Dragonborn Barbarian and Magdar the Dwarf Cleric (their players dropped out) were hired by two human twins, Sebastian (Fighter) and Cassandra (Druid) to escort them to the town of Greenrest. Just as they came within sight of the town, an army, accompanied by a blue dragon, began their assault. The party has just rescued four humans, the Swift family, and are in the process of making their way toward the keep.

There are currently two other player characters somewhere in the city; Fran, the Tiefling Warlock (Lucius Cypher) and Mists on the Mountain, the Tabaxi Cleric - though he identifies as a Rakasta, tiger-like tabaxi, mechanically a Tabaxi/Half-Orc hybrid (Harbinger Of Ferocity).

Now, the reason that I've given Sebastian and Cassandra stat blocks is that this chapter of the story can be considered incredibly difficult; they're there to make things a little easier and because they're characters that I already had. Magdar and Surina have also been relegated to this role, though I don't plan on keeping all four around for the entire chapter.

I do have a few preferences that I'd like to state before we begin, but if you can sufficiently sway me, I can let some of them slide.

If you have any other questions, let me know.
@GreivousKhan Correct. Rolling can be fun, but this way, everyone starts on a roughly level playing field.
Hi. Could I request that you hide the following character sheets? Their players are no longer active in the RP.

@GreivousKhan Definitely room. As I said in the int check, I'd be glad to hear any ideas you might have; we're technically in a place where anyone can join up and it wouldn't be too difficult to fit them in. Since, you know, safety in numbers.

@GreivousKhan Thought it best to tag just in case
Mmm... well, a little bit of yes, a little bit of no. I asked someone from another RP I'm in to join up, so we do now have five players once again; they're playing a Hexblade Warlock. However, six players isn't too different from five, now, is it? If you'd like to join, let me know what you're thinking and we'll see if I can squeeze you in.
Unknown Foe x 1 | Init: 15

Foe A | DEAD
Foe B | Healthy

The man lets out a hiss of pain and steps back, a spot of red foam appearing at the corner of his mouth. He makes to shout, but before he can, he is silenced with a bolt of frost. The elven woman turns to face Rhaeyla with a snarl, the darkness doing little to hide the girl from her sight. She spins her blade in her hand and falls into a stance.

She is no longer surprised by your presence.

Cassandra’s Turn | Init: 13

HP 5/9 | Status: None

Seeing the elven woman distracted, Cassandra takes the opportunity to slam the butt of her staff against the ground. Again, the ruby at its head is set aflame, and again, it darts in the direction of its target - this one the elven woman. But the elf sees the flame, and she raises her scimitar, the cantrip breaking against her steel.

Cassandra flinches, and she backs away slightly.

Kobolds x 1 | Init: 12

Winged Kobold | Healthy

The kobold takes several steps back, and from its bag pulls a rock, hefty in size. It crouches, and its wings rise up, ready to take flight.

The Urd is no longer surprised by your presence.

Surina's Turn | Init: 9

HP 14/14 +3 | Status: None

Surina, a child in each arm, backs away into the shadows.

No action taken.

Sebastian's Turn | Init: 6

HP 11/11 +3 | Status: None

Sebastian charges forward, shield in front of him, ready to block, and he swings at the elf. With inhuman grace, she dances away, as he misses by a hair.

Magdar’s Turn | Init: 20

HP12/12 + 3 | Status: None

Magdar, unwilling to leave his charges, instead fit a bolt to his crossbow and took aim. The elf seems to hear this, and she steps out of the way just in time, the missile flying off into the darkness. Magdar utters a curse and resets the cord.

Commoners' Turn | Init: 19

Linan; Ally | Healthy
Cuth; Ally | Healthy
Tarya; Ally | Healthy
Arthus; Ally | Healthy

No actions taken.
Scott

Scott glanced under the table where Miiba and the boy were still talking. “We... we don’t know… not exactly, anyway.” he lied.

Looking around the room, he took in not his surroundings, but the people around him. Lear, he knew, and he assumed that the woman he was talking to was Mirabelle. That made the other man, the one who had… picked up a log to kill him with, he had to be Geir. But the other woman, the one who was standing in front of the youngest girl and holding a baby in her arms... who was she? He assumed that she was Lear’s wife, and that made these four children theirs. Why would they be here, where every creature in a hundred-mile radius (at least, that’s what it felt like) wanted to kill them?

Scott supposed that’s what the wall was for. And they could probably handle themselves. But was it really worth the effort?

Slipping away from Miiba’s side, he moved towards the woman.

“E-excuse me.”
