Anybody interested in posting again that is currently on the outskirts of Dyna City I'd recommend doing so by friday.

I'll have something for our two characters who are on campus out within the next day for the two of them to act on so they aren't just sitting tight.
Quiver stood at precipe of the beach, not far from where the team had disembarked upon arrival. Almost all of the others had ran to the sand at full speed, laughing and already playing around. So at ease with each other. He watched Mirage disappear almost instantly under the waves, and Daphne settle beneath the shade of a tree looking perfectly at peace. He considered going over to sit with her but hesitated, feeling awkward. Talos didn't look like he needed any help with the food either, and was already getting to work. He was good at taking care of everyone like that.

Quiver figured he'd stay near Zatara, as he was always really easy to be around and took almost nothing seriously. Things barely phased him, if at all.

His phone, stuck in the front zipper of his bag, chimed with a text message. He flipped it open, looked back at his teammates all enjoying themselves, and then closed it back up again. The others were going to have a fun day out here. A restful one, after everything that had recently happened. And their internships with a few of the veteran heroes. And now Metamorph's return and reintroduction to the team as Ro. It was strange, having a now 4th version of his teammate among them. Mirage had taken the time to explain the differences between each, how to approach and converse with him safely. Quiver listened, intently - making sure he knew the ins and outs. But he would remain away from him while he could. Metamorph and Quiver hadn't had much of a chance at reconciliation, and now there was this new dynamic. It was a little too much for Quiver at once.

Before the trip, Black Canary had suggested that Quiver was avoiding the obvious: that this newest evolution of Metamorph paved the way for a fresh start for them. That things among the team were really being revamped and updated. With everyone back and safe, friendships were evolving - growing.

"Metamorph and Mirage, Zach and Matteo last I checked - Talos is already pretty popular with the ladies. Maybe you should get yourself out there. Look at Viktor and Daphne. I haven't seen them happier. Any idea what's going on there?"

"How should I know? What Rain does in his free time has nothing to do with me. Why are you asking me about this? You want me to start dating a teammate? Want me to go ask out Iceburn? Think that will help with my aim?" Quiver was getting annoyed. Of course he had noticed. Despite not being cybernetically enhanced or having any kind of animal vision - he had the best eyes on the team. At first he wasn't sure what he had been seeing - Daphne was always emitting happiness. It was just who she was. But Rain, something was slightly off. His suspicions around what was happening took root in him and he was feeling irritable again at the sight of either of them. The others too.

"It feels like, from an outside perspective, seeing the others grow closer only bothers you. What do you think?"

Quiver said nothing, just stared at Dinah.

"Is it all these hormones? Maybe that rivalry with Rain is rearing its head again?"

Quiver shook his head, looked away from Black Canary.

That's not it. I'm not jealous that they all get to play batty eyes at each other. I don't care about that. I don't exactly want these people to be unhappy. It's just that like...like when Metamorph attacked me, I felt kind of alone. Or not like, alone alone. But Mirage stuck close with Metamorph because of what they have. Now Daphne and Rain. It's just that, it's hard enough trying to connect with them. I feel enough like an outsider already. And now, with all this coupling - now I'll be an OUTSIDER outsider. I don't think things will be even anymore. How could they? This is just like...another layer to that.

The session went on, but Quiver was mostly checked out. He thought he'd give beach day a real try, but immediately felt out of place. He hated that feeling, and probably put it on himself. So he walked down to the water's edge and stood feeling the current rush in and out across the tips of his feet. He stood there for a moment, listening to his teammates laugh and splash around, letting himself relax, and try not to worry for awhile.

"....if I get a sunburn I'm going to be fucking annoyed."
Damn you guys are really firing along the IC posts. I have a post built for Hellblazer but want to tighten it up with some story beats everyone else has put together, and only about halfway through all of your long ass posts. You bastards.
Latest jump has been posted - I moved the rest of the cast forward a few hours and apologize that I took a few casual liberties with them.

Although not all of you are currently at "Ground Zero" - both Rick and Felix experience something very different from the others, which I will send out a Private Message with the details during the day tomorrow! If either of those two characters wants to post without waiting, feel free to fill in the time gap and interact as much as you'd like, I left room for engagement between you guys that you can work with!
And so the newest addition (but not the last) to Zeta House was introduced to the others. Jet took a liking to Sully almost right away, finding his enthusiasm infectious, if not a little "much." Laughs were had among the boys, and the time ticked by. At the same time, heading towards them, was - potentially - the end of their very world.

The time is approximately 8:15 PM.

And as luck would have it, the pieces happened to be perfectly in place. And as it happens, three of Zeta House's newest occupants are about to converge yet again.

Dyna City Shopping District

Nate, needing to run a personal errand, is in the shopping district - he carries with him a large brown bag filled with his purchases. The contents weren't for him, but for his mother. He was troubled, but for reasons he couldn't quite put into words...

Finn was at the opposite end, having just finished a meal with his Cheer Squad friends at DuckBurger. Colleen and Finn both rolled their eyes as Rio attempted to goad one of his jock friends into a shoving match. More of the same.

Sully however just streaked passed Finn and his friends on his own bike, of course he didn't notice as he was completely in "the zone." The lights from his bike streaked across the various reflective surfaces of all the stores, and Sully felt himself grow lighter.

Across Dyna City, were Rick and Felix. The two of them were locked in a discussion around Felix's recent...extra curriculars.....

And out of everyone in Dyna City, it was Felix Buchanan who had the best sense of what was about to happen. Although he couldn't have predicted the true outcome.

Nate was the first to notice. He looked up to see the stars in the sky and took a half step forward and hesitated. One of the stars was brighter than the others, brighter than any star he'd seen in quite some time. He tried to peer deeper into it's bright light, but that was when it started growing bigger.

Not in the sky - but growing closer.

Finn heard Colleen shriek to his left. She dropped what was left of her boba tea and pointed up at the sky. Finn followed her gaze and saw the same thing that the crowds around them had begun to notice. A fireball blazing across the sky. Was it an asteroid? He couldn't tell from this angle, but he thought he saw-

Electricity - or some kind of energy output. Sully saw a crackle of it strike a car ahead of him, sending it sliding and skidding as if the battery was instantly shot. He brought his bike to a skid and a sliding stop, as he could start to hear the shouts of people all around him.

The strange glowing electric discharge was shooting off of the star as it flew towards Dyna City. But instead of a straight trajectory, it sort of moved sporadically, in strange jerking motions as if undecided on where to head.

Felix was sharing his telescope at that exact moment, so it was Rick back at the Wing Zero Labs who saw that the unidentified object seemed to be vibrating, blinking...glitching? He couldn't make sense of it either.

It made it's way through the cities buildings, weaving in and out, and close to the ground. From where he was, Finn could see that it was trailing several objects behind it. But they didn't make sense. A car seemingly in freefall - as if it's gravity was completely off. A street sign, a shopping cart, trash and various debris. Like they were getting pulled along. He also was quick to notice that as the object was heading towards him, it was almost bending and pulling the environment around it. Lights were being bent out of shape as if by a giant magnet. He didn't notice but his friends were already taking off. Colleen attempted to shout to Finn, when suddenly he was ripped into the sky as well, pulled along by the streaking starlight.

Sully saw it coming, tried to race past, but felt his bike begin to lift into the air. He held on tight and lost consciousness as a metal trash can collided with him. However, that racer's spirit deep inside somewhere, refused to let go of the bike....

Nate in the meantime was trying to help. A shop owner and his wife were hanging on tightly to a street light, and he tried to help them. He bounded over, only to be snatched by the pull of the anomaly and thrown for a spin. He managed to grab onto an overpass and hang tight, but one of his shoes was pulled straight off and thrown wild. He hung on as well as he could before he too was caught up in it and pulled away.

---

Nate awakens outside of Dyna City. He feels a gash in his shoulder but just from debris. All around him is a strange site - he's in a field not far from the base of the mountains. Just near the tree line. He struggles to his feet with a groan and sees Finn, hanging upside down from a tree branch. He's conscious, but tied up in a giant banner. He can make out that there is an octopus mascot along the banner and it says "The Best OctoBalls in Dyna City."

In the distance: sirens.

In the middle of the field is a rising pillar of thick smoke. The occasional flash of an electric circuit sputtering.

An unconscious Sully lays alongside his bike, next to a large metallic...something. A shipping container? It's...a ship? But one vastly more technologically advanced than you've seen before.

@Courtaud, my apologies for not getting to it before now, it genuinely slipped my mind yesterday. But your application for John Constantine/Etrigan/Ghost Rider (that's a hell of a sentence) is hereby APPROVED.

Thank you!

I'll get to work on a post shortly!
Hey gang!

Sorry for the delay on my end, work's been quite insane so I'm hoping to put together something special for you guys later tonight.

Age wise, I left it kinda vague but probably early college age-ish?

My initial plan was to figure out weapons dependent upon outside influence, but open to your thoughts on what your character would have - if you're more up for letting the plot find you in terms of weaponry, let me know and I'll keep it in mind!
