Current I know I said I'd be back tonight but it turns out I have a lot of post-vacation life stuff to catch up on. Apologies to everyone waiting on a reply--I'll get them out before the end of the week!

Will be out of town from tomorrow until Monday--going to go try and through my threads tonight and update what I can, but after that will likely be silent for a few days.

I want to go and rework a couple stats, but that shouldn't be an issue; character sheet should definitely be ready by then.
@Guardian Angel Haruki, anything worth me making a Perception or Investigation, or is it just Oops! All Frogs?
Rearden Keane

Rearden shook her head. "Let's make sure everything's clear down here before we move on. As unlikely as it seems at the moment, I'd like to be as sure as we can that there's nothing nasty waiting between us and our way out of here. And besides," she added as an afterthought, "it feels neater that way." She set words to action, marching over to the last remaining door and opening it cautiously, staff at the ready.
@student of life@ctrlsaltdel

It's just you two, than. I'm going to get started working up the opening post, in the meantime-

Do your characters already know each other, and if so, how?

I think it would be interesting for them to be acquainted, but not necessarily friends--I'm thinking that my guy is probably somewhat known about town as an annoying gadfly, so maybe he's cornered programmer guy coming out of the supermarket or something to try and get him to buy into whatever theory he's got about what's going on around the island?

Jesse considered Ashley's words, nodding thoughtfully as she spoke. When she finished, they slapped their knees and looked over at Luka.

"Yeah, boss, I can make this happen. It'll take some misdirection, but the man's running for Mayor of New York City. He can't have enough people or money to keep all his plates in the air. With some prodding--and with the Durand family name to drop--I should be able to put his guys on the back foot and ram this through before they have a chance to recover." They tilted their head towards Ashley. "Do you mind if I get your number? I can give you a call when your new birth certificate and driver's license are ready. Once those are done, all of the other bits should fall into place more easily, but if you need I can put you in contact with a lawyer I know who can help you get those changes reflected at school, or on your bank account, etc etc."
alright, I'm about to write up a post, but I think at this point we need a draw to determine the success of this activity. Luka's GLAM is 3, so you get:

Judgment - Negative - Your past mistakes catch up to you
Strength - Positive - You triumph through force
The Lovers - Neutral - You are faced with two paths

Rearden Keane

Rearden squinted at the cabinet, examining it closely. "Faeries love tricks and toys," she asserted, with rather more confidence that Rory had heard from her to this point. "Maybe if we just..." She leaned her staff against the wall, stepped past Aurora, and pressed her fingertips against the hourglass. She twisted experimentally, then with an "Ah!" turned it in its setting until it was upside down; the sand began draining into the empty side.

I'll say that the roll will cover the tools aspect as well. ^_^

Aurora does see that this cupboard doesn't have your standard lock that needs to be opened with a key. No, the opening mechanism somehow works differently, but she can't figure out how. This is especially frustrating considering the fact that there aren't any tools here that could help open the lock.

@ctrlsaltdel You are also welcome to make an Investigation roll. ^_^

Sheer luck triumphs over skill again--that's a 19!
Rearden Keane

Rearden shook her head. "Let's not waste time looking through her cross-stitch, at least until we've surveyed the rest of the place." She regarded the two figures; if Rory didn't swipe them, Rearden surreptitiously placed them in her hip bag on the way out of the room. "Three more doors down here; might as well pick one at random." With her staff, she pointed towards the door at the end of the wall they were already on.

Yup. That’s all there is.
Looking forward to your post. ^_^

So not worth me making a perception check, then? If not, I'll just make a quick post to move things along.
