Cesar Lorenzo Tidesong Bolivar
The Vale, At The Hall.

Cesar continued forward eagerly, watching his frienss, both deep in enemy lands and back providing ranged suppoet, all laying the hurt on his enemiee. It almost made the rather slow Bard jealous. He felt the need to try and contribue somehow... He could always fire another bolt from his crossbow, but Cesar felt like that would not have enough flair. And throwing your sword can only go a long way, as well...

So instead, the Bard cleared his throat as he proceeded, looking the Night Fury in the... Eyes? Ocular orifices? Orbs?

"You know, I can smell you from here, and it isn't much of a pleasant aroma from where I'm standing!"

Keep trying, Cesar.

Seethe

The Genasi flipped through his small, gem-inlaid spellbook. It had the symbol of the Allianced embroidered on its cover, being a gift from the faction. Not even bothering to look up, Seethe read and waited as his alies waded into combat, with the smelly, strange-sounding Goliath rushing in last and calling him over. As a matter of fact, the Goliath sounded so strange, Seethe had looked up from his book for a second to make sure this was the same Goliath he had been traveling with.

"I'll provide some ranged support from here. Don't worry about me." Seethe had said, nonchalantly as he continued reading his tome. It didn't sound like too much goblins were over where the entire party had been, so it didn't matter too much to the Wizard that he had to be there immediately. He decides to take this brief respite as a breather away from that rotten smell he had to bear with for the past few days.

"Horrendous.." the Genasi said, under his breath.

Nirmathi Ranger Encampment, Nirmathas

The Tyrant. The dragon. The harsh ruler. Is this what they'll be expecting later in the castle? Perhaps. A dragon does indeed seem too farfetched to have taken over a keep this small, and with how it was taken over by a rogue commander makes this an unlawful takeover. Why would a tyrant be so deep out into the wilderness? Valerio began thinking to himself as he began to shuffle the card back into the deck, stopping before he did so just to look at the card one more time...

The dragon's monstrous visage made Valerio think a bit more on their current whereabouts. They would be traveling for a few hours into the wildernes until they made it to the keep. Perhaps there are beasts on the way to the keep? Dangerous fauna, and perhaps even flora? Being unfamiliar with these lands, Valerio figured knowing about the wildlife as well as any natural threats they may find on the way will be important to expedite their journey.

"Are there any sorts of things you or your scouts could tell us about the land? Any wild animals we should be wary of? Bears? Owls? Owlbears? And what of any sorta of geological landmarks we should keep track of? Quicksand, especially vicious brambles..." Valerio asked as he inspected the two scrolls. Knock and Hold Portal. Open and Shut. These will indeed help with infiltrating the keep, but Valerio hopes that they will not have to use them unless necessary. Hopefully they can rely on Claudia to find a subtle way to enter the keep. Perhaps Valerio can consult the Harrow for further insight. Dropping the gold he earned into his pouch, Valerio nodded as the rest of his allies began to ask their own questions. He'll only need a scroll case to hold these two scrolls, and perhaps the keep could also contain some magical secrets Valerio can use...

The raiders did have a mage with them, after all.
Lancer of Red

Day 0

The Deacon Arms Tavern

@1Charak2

Lancer appeared at his Master's side in a faint flash of light. He had stayed in his spiritual form when they had all retreated. He was ashamed that he was brought down to such a form during his first fight, and didn't want to show himself, especially to the other Servants, now that it was made apparent that his own Master was not a target to the rest after all. Still, Lancer felt like he failed to protect his Master, regardless, as she is here, now, crying and in doubt of her skill. Had he known she was blind, he would have chosen the ability to craft a holy shroud, if it was even possible to grant her one that would give her true sight. And for some odd reason, Lancer's third Noble Phantasm feels far too out of reach for him to access normally... otherwise, he would be able to cure her of her affliction, and possibly replace his own spear with another minor relic.

Lancer may be a saint, but he isn't no miracle worker...

"I do not think you are worthless... far from it. You shouldn't blame yourself for your enemies ambushing you in such a way. They may have the upper hand now, but if we are able to keep our resolve, then we will be able to emerge victorious. Otherwise, all those lives would have been lost in vain."

Lancer had only hoped his words of inspiration would have his Master worry less. As for her interrogation as to who he actually is, Lancer took a kneeling stance, holding his helmet in his arms as he bowed his head.

"Yes, I am the one and true Constantine the Great. While I would be able to prove it to you easily, I am unable to access my third Noble Phantasm, which is a shame, as I will be forced to fight unarmed for the rest of the War. I do have one replacement to my spear that we could use, but I must not draw it. Another... aspect of myself was summoned with me. One that was formed from the opinions of those who aligned me with the other Roman emperors of the past; a bloodthirsty tyrant who wishes only to butcher his enemies. I must not work towards any selfish goals, lest I risk drawing that fiend out... and I won't have any control over myself, or my actions."

"So I must ask of you, my Master, to command me to your bidding, that it is if it contributes towards an honorable cause. I will serve you to the best of my ability so long as we can avoid the darkness that lurks within my core. As for right now, however, I believe it is imperative for us to find a weapon that could replace my spear, any relic or artifact of Christian origins will work, even a blessed cross, if we must."

I need to get my post in soon, which hopefully I can do today. Alot of things happened while I was gone, but I'm mostly finished dealing with them. My post will mostly be a summary of what happened before the current events, tho, just to avoid irrelevance.

I apologize, to everyone, truly.
Cesar Lorenzo Tidesong Bolivar
The Vale, At The Hall.

Cesar let out a breath as his allies all made their attack on the shadows. He drew his sword, eagerly, as the doors were thrown opened suddenly, revealing... another potential ally? Well, Cesar wouldn't know for certain, but as long as they aren't living darkness,- or giant birds,- then they're right and proper allies in Cesar's book.

It's nice to have another friend after seeing your world end right in front of you.

Cesar proceeded forward, sword in his hand, and a fierce look in his face. While he's still up and ready for another fight, the wounds from the last one seem to be holding the bard back a few notches. Noticing his faltering posture, Cesar took a deep breath as he focused his magical energy in his hand, whispering words of encouragement to himself as a brilliant light manifested in his hand. He then clenches his fist, "crushing" the magic in his hand like some sort of trinket, causing the light to briefly dance around him. Feeling better spiritually, Cesar looked back up to the shadows, teeth bared.

"Alright, then, you gillepollas! I hope you all will put up a better fight!"
