@CloseEnough one of the things that urks me is that she left home at the age of six? That's like a kindergartner going out on an adventure, a bit crazy. Also the Rapidash fits in with the background with her bringing him to Kalos, but is she only going to be catching Pokemon and practicing performing or is she up to other things too?
Appearance: Kai is a growing teenager who has so far sprouted to a height of five foot nine. He has chilly and cool pair of ice-blue eyes and charcoal brown hair. He can often be seen wearing a black and red cap, along with a long sleeved shirt with a red sweater on top, with a pokeball logo. Fashion isn't one of his strong suits, but he does what he can.
Before starting his journey in Kalos though, Kai had dyed his hair a shade of light blue to commit to starting fresh.
Personality: Impulsive and easily excitable, Kai is your guy if you want to have a grand old adventure. It's said that you should always think before you act, but that phrase is completely invalid to Kai. He isn't a person to think before acting, he just does whatever urge, feeling, or impulse that he has right then and there. He follows his gut and never regrets his choices.
He lives life freely and always full of life. Being a fearless guy, he is always willing to do whatever it takes to get something done. Kai has an aura to him that attracts others. It might be because of his aloof and oblivious attitude that make others want to help him achieve his impulses or his direct and honest way of leading people, but nevertheless Kai is a genuinely good person with honest intentions. Sometimes it just takes him a few tries before getting to the end.
Background: Kai was born and raised in Snowpoint City of the Sinnoh Region. There he was taught at the local trainer school by none other than Snowpoint's gym leader Candice. He grew up around the cold and loved spending his time at the Acuity Lakefront. His parents were researchers and local Pokemon Breeders who spent most of their time outdoors, where Kai picked up his liking to nature, at the other local landmark, Snowpoint Temple. The pair study the Ice Pokemon there to help Candice with the training and raising of her own Pokemon.
Having grown up around the local gym leader as a friend and the battling scene made Kai want to strive for something far out there. He wanted to showcase that he himself could raise Pokemon to become strong and fearless. So the idea of him going off and starting his own adventure came like every other impulse that he had, from out of left field. There weren't many things that Kai wasn't able to do, and plenty of those things he did without the permission of his parents, but with this adventure he wanted their blessing and approval before beginning.
At first his parents objected to his journey of self-discovery because they believed that he just wasn't ready yet to leave Snowpoint and start his adventure and journey into the vast world. But with the help of Candice his parents were convinced that he would be ready to go in a few years. They gave him a choice that if he helped them with their research he would be able to go on his own with their blessing.
And so he researched and helped out his parents. Through his time helping out at the temple and the various routes and woods, he picked up a friend. He had found himself a new partner with a young Teddiursa who had picked a fight with the wrong Sneseal and ended up pretty badly injured. Helping nurse him back to health the two took a quick liking to one another as they both were very impulsive and reckless, with Kai always doing things by his gut feelings and the Teddiursa doing whatever he wanted to showcase his strength. With a strong bond and growing friendship, Kai took the Teddiursa as his first Pokemon and named him Cole.
It took a few years, but at the age of sixteen, he was finally granted permission (and all expenses paid) to the region of his choice to begin his adventure. He picked Kalos, as it was the one Candice had recommended for him to shoot for, and was ready and raring to go along with his best friend and partner, Cole.

Personality: Cole is a cocky little guy. He is high spirited and is always full of life and energy. He tends to pick fights with Pokemon who are bigger than him to prove that he is strong and that size doesn't matter. Cole also is very protective of those who are smaller than him and that he deems as weaker. He likes to help others and is out to prove himself just like his trainer.

Kai is an only child.
Kai's full name is Godfrey Kaiden Emerson, but goes by the shortened version of his middle name. He is extremely embarrassed by his full name.

"I can take the truck," Charlie said, responding to Marcus. He turned to Skye with a smile, "I think you should stick with Anastasia while we're in town though. Can you do that?" The scavenging with the group as a whole was going to have the pros and cons that come with a large group. Everyone would be able to get something and bring something, so more manpower, but that also meant more chances and a higher possibility of encountering a horde of zombies or other people. He looked to Marcus in hopes of his approval of assigning Skye with Anastasia.
"Lara and Lazlo, if you don't mind joining me in the truck too?" Charlie offered to the group's medic. "We could head straight for the hospital while the others check out the university." Having shelter and a place to go to after all the scavenging would be ideal, as would restocking on antibiotics and medicine so they needed to do whatever they could in the short amount of time they might have.

First post is up, everyone doesn't have to meet right off the bat, but will have to end up being in Lumiose City within the next one or two post of theirs! This first one is more of an intro of to where you are and what you're up to in Kalos!
He couldn't really believe it. Kai had been in the Kalos Region for just about five hours now and was excited and ready to go on his adventure. The plane ride over was his first ever and of course he was super pumped about it. There was a feeling in his gut that there was a chance of a fear of heights and flying, but he got over that after the first hour had passed. Now as he made his way through Lumiose City, the center for the five-pointed region, his body was pumping with adrenaline and excitement. By the time he had arrived in the city and Kalos though, time had gone by and it was pretty late. The blue skies that he was flying in were now darkening and the sparkling of the stars were beginning to show.
From the airport Kai had made his way to the hotel his parents had set him up in for the night. The next morning he was supposed to meet up with Professor Sycamore, the region's professor in charge of helping out the new, up-and-coming trainers. Candice had made a call to her friend Professor Rowan of Sinnoh who had then contacted Professor Sycamore for Kai in order to get started. He wanted to start his adventure badly, but the timing didn't work out. Still, the blue-haired trainer found something to keep him occupied for the time being.
"You gotta see this, Cole!" Kai said, holding out his partner's pokeball. A bolt of crimson lightning shot from the button of the pokeball and at the end of the bolt was the silhouette of his teddy bear partner, Cole. "This is such a pretty place!"
"So many lights everywhere!" The bear said, dazed by the street and building lights as he appeared out from his pokeball. "I haven't seen so many lights like these since the Volbeat and Illimuse came to Lake Acuity!"
The two Sinnoh natives were amazed by the big city as this was their first experience really outside of Snowpoint. Everything was new and exciting to them and with their naive and youthful attitudes things were going to be amazing for a long time. "I heard there were places that you can eat and battle here too, we should go find one!"
The Little Bear Pokemon threw up his fist and nodded confidently. Kai could sense that his partner was ready for some action and grub, as the two were always on the same page. Being new, lost, and confused, only having just settled into his room for the night, Kai ushered on through the city streets in hopes to find a cafe to test out his wits and grab a bite to eat.
