Abram kept silent as he watched Claire in action. She was good, really good. Her morphing and acting abilities were on point, and she played the guard pretty well for having only touched him just once. Once the two guards were out of distance and corners away, Abram grinned widely. "I think letting you lead is better for the both of us."

He chuckled playfully as they neared a single door at the end of a hallway. Going with his gut, Abram assumed it was to the storage as he slipped his hands out of the loosely tied ropes. Once inside he was relieved that there were no other guards around, meaning that whoever took them didn't have too many henchmen as he thought lying around. "Let's see if we can find our wands."

Rushing to a table on his left, he looked around the messy table filled with tools and knickknacks, along with plans and blueprints of the hotel they were staying in. "You were right... Someone knew we were going to be there."

A mixture of fear and anxiety began creeping from his toes as he looked at the things on the table, almost forgetting about finding his wand. "We might be in over our heads."
You can kill me at any time by the way.

@Karkinos I'm really diggin' Afra. Dragons themselves are a bit over-powered, but that's the thing, their dragons. So I think it should be fine once we start getting into combat and whatnot because then we'll see if you play that over-poweredness or if you tone it down because no one likes a person who is too OP.

The only thing that I have an issue with is her backstory leading up to her wanting to join the Desert Hare. There's a lot of politics involved in her backstory, from having the Dragon laguz send a diplomat into Daein, and a prince nonetheless, to him being assassinated, that would cause a HUGE and I mean HUGE uproar and would/could be something that would make the plot of everyone trying to get to Hatari overshadowed because nationwide war > traveling to Hatari imo.

I think if her story wasn't that drastic, then it would be okay. I don't see laguz sending out diplomats to beorc nations, I mean even Gallia and Crimea didn't have that good of a relationship and they were pretty chummy. I'm sure we or you can come up with something that can still bring Afra to Daein and then pivot her to the Desert Hare.

@Garet You could possibly apply with both of them. And yeah, compasses and telescopes are a thing!
@Lord of Evil @Eisenhorn @Count Cuddles

A bit of interaction with one another if you'd like. Somehow yall can get your characters together if you'd like, otherwise, I promise action in the next round for real this time!

Day soon turned into night as the camp filled by a quarter of the size. News had spread like wild-fire that they were about to head off into the desert and more people found their way to the pilgrimage led by Cyprus. They were going to be gone early in the morning, not waiting any longer as they had a long journey before them.

The camp was lively, people cheerfully enjoying their last night before the sea of sand was all they were going to have for some time. It was all going to be worth it in the end for everyone though as Hatari was the final destination.

Noel and Éowyn had taken refuge with an older man and a laguz woman, with the man seeming friendly enough to even offer them some sweets. Of course, the young father was cautious, but it was a good thing finding some friends among the crowd as the more eyes he had to help with Éowyn the better he felt.

"Thanks again for the candies," Noel said as he playfully tugged at his daughter. "She was causing a bit of a fuss that she dropped some this morning."
"The caravans are ready for the morning," Yusef said as he returned to the senior leader of the pilgrimage. "I'm having Saleh do one final scout, but the roads are clear thus far."

Cyprus deeply exhaled, taking in the clean, cold, crisp air. His eyes were closed as he focused on his breathing, attempting to relax after every breath. "The wind is quiet tonight."

"Clear air means no trouble," Yusef said with a smirk. "It means as long as we listen we'll hear danger."

"If it was that simple, my friend." Cyprus nodded. "It means we must listen to the sands if the wind doesn't want to speak up."

"The sands can't always be trusted."

"Neither can the wind as someone is always whispering in its' ear."
At the edge of camp stood a hooded man, one that was familiar with the camp, who whispered to the wind. "The wolves among us will devour the weak, but bring no harm to the young ones."
