Ever since Brainiac 3.7 had been taking people over with the spread of the techno virus which took over many civilians and leaguers a like which included her mother Koriand'r or more commonly known as Starfire, Dariand'r had took it upon herself to learn more about the leaguers other than what her mother had told her who was influential in learning her powers and combat techniques from and early age such is the custom of the Tamarean culture. Of course she was not fully Tamarean but a hybrid, A result of her mother screwing with a random human guy that interested her and her needs, The daughter did keep in contact but their relations where strained at best.
Either way Dariand'r had taken up a hero name and costume if such a day where she was called in to provide extra help should Starfire not be able to, She is known by her Alias name of Darkstar but times where getting dangerous and despite her human side of loving to use modern day technology such as phones and etcetera, The young golden skin beauty pretty much refused to use it now in fear of being infected with the techno virus that took her mother but remembered what Starfire had told her. "Stay within 500 miles of the leaguers and keep a method of communication so they could contact you if we ever need help"
And that is what she did, Darkstar did what she could to get by in the city without drawing the attention of the infected, keeping her distance wear possible and blending when needed, hell even that was a mission in its self for a young teenager, She also feared what has become of those infected, are they aware of what happened, Can they feel any pain or suffering? It made Darkstar out silly teenage impulse to go out there find this Brainiac and kick his butt all over the city, It was a big urge to fight but alas she was at least a little bit wise as her mother or possibly her father and did not pursue such a silly action for it would only end one way and that wouldn't help the people that were infected. Night had fallen upon metropolis and as antsy as one could get finally her phone went of, At first she was a bit sceptical about answering it but eventually gave in to the rings to answer it and to her relief it was the call she had been impatiently waiting for the Justice league was calling out for any meta-humans to come and assist them and had gotten a description of where to go.
Darkstar set of to work immediately getting herself ready in her apartment, The golden skinned hybrid cleaned herself up and pulled out her outfit, getting undressed from her civilian clothes and then putting on her suit putting the straps over her shoulder and zipping up the front and adjusting her self to get comfortable, Soon after she set about putting on her boots and belt before adding in the finishing touches of putting on her head band around her head and under her long black hair and the the gloves and then she was complete,
Donning the complete dark blue outfit of Darkstar which had a pink star on the midsection of her suit and a smaller one at the front centre of her head piece. After this she smiled as she walked over to her window and opened up the window to stand out on the balcony looking down at the city below, If her mother caught her doing this before she considered her daughter ready then she would no doubt kill her what she was about to do but the smile was taken away when there was a bang at door as several infected men broke in and ran through over to the balcony do find nothing there. A moment later Darkstar came hovering down the tips of her black hair all fiery from her taking flight. "Better luck next time boys" She winked noticing the motionless faces of the infected men, It was only a matter of time before Brainiac came after her after catching her mother, It only made her wonder why it took so long.
After this she took of in flight leaving a small fiery trail behind her from her hair as she flew through the night to where she was told to meet up, Darkstar arrived around the block from the meeting point of the old Daily planet building, She walked around cautiously making sure not to bring any attention to herself to make sure it was clear as she approached the building, She remembered being told it was a underground HQ not far from the watchtower, Her childhood memories reminded her that her mother once took her to the Leagues HQ once when she was little but never had she knew of this underground one and backed up her fears of a dire situation indeed, just how many were left and just how many answered the call.
Making sure it was clear again Darkstar made her way down into the abandoned subway to the entrance of this hidden underground HQ, She saw some others there to which was a relief, looks like they would be partners in crime.. Well partners fighting crime and evil. But to say the least this was an interesting bunch and one thing came out of this that was for sure, The call from the league just saved her from being taken and infected by Brainiacs techno virus.

Fire Manipulation. (Pyrokinesis).
Sarina has the ability to control the kinetic energy of atoms to generate, control/manipulate fire Allowing to throw fire, Send jets of flames at a target, Hurl fireballs or even possibly cause a rain of fire. It is also handy to illuminate a dark area. In essence Sarina can excite or speed up an object's atoms, increasing their thermal energy until they ignite, not necessarily objects, but also air particles. She can control and move the flames.
She can at the moment release the fire from her hands with the potential in time to do so from her mouth for fire breath. She may be able to understand and control it enough for Pyrokinetic Combat like fire shield. Thanks to this amazing power and it's possible applications, Sarina has ended up with fireproof skin and thermal resistance something that is a life saver when playing with fire in the ways and possibilities this teen can.
Weaknesses - Despite all those pluses and hidden potential, There are other downsides that factor into her power and for one Control is extremely important. Unconscious use of this power can be catastrophic to herself and others, Water and in an oxygen depleted environment rendering her power useless. Sadly not much can be said for her if wearing non flame retardant clothes though as one of the downsides is if not careful can burn her clothes of, something of which is not a good thing.
There are still instances of Sarina getting burned if she abuses the power much or loses to much control. Another weakness for Sarina is she does have a Fiery temper and can sometimes have a short fuse. This is another side effect of her power as it effects her personality and emotions. This gives her a little bit of unpredictability of outbursts.
How long at the Institute - 3 years
Favourite subject - Physical Education (Gym, Sports activities.).

BRIEF Bio - Sarina was very much a lovely girl to be around when she was younger, Born to american military man military man and a Latin mother whose worked in retail work. Life was busy Although her parents would prefer the more quiet and peaceful life, Sarina was the opposite always running around like young kids do, she was able to make friend pretty well and was full of life and smiles, Her parents loved her so dearly. During the early life for some reason she had a thing for Mistletoe, It was probably to do with the special times of Christmas one thing that most children enjoy more and parents mostly remember those magical moments.
Life was pretty normal for the family until a certain moment, Sarina was now at the age of 16, It was a pivotal changing moment in her life for it would never be the same again, While at a beach party with a load of her friends. During the night Sarina got into an argument with one of the other girls away from the group party in a hut, The drunken girl was convinced her boyfriend was having an affair with Sarina which of course was not true but during the heated argument it got physical and that was when her power flared up thus setting fire to the small hut they were in.
Unfortunately the flames spread quickly engulfing the girls but running on fear for her life the popular girl fought hard despite getting burned and was able to drag the jealous girlfriend out of the fire by time the first person managed to run over seeing her pulled the unconscious girl out the fire while others where getting buckets of water or anything they could use. Sarina's actions saved the girl who had severe burns over her body, But to the guys shock Sarina was only lightly burned despite her clothes severely burned and saw her dark crimson like eyes which would become a permanent feature of her mutation.
Sarina promptly ran away back home as she to knew that she should of got hurt more but it wasn't until she got home to get dresses and saw herself in the mirror that she realized her eyes. She was a mutant weather she could grasp it or not but her mind was going into overdrive and packed some clothes and ran away from home trying to get away from everything. Fortunately her mind was easy to pick up by Charles Xavier and cerebro which prompted a quick response to find the girl in need and sent Shadowcat to locate and bring Sarina in safely.
When she arrived at the institute, Sarina spent a while adjusting to her new environment and getting used to being with her own kind but it was a mostly positive transition, The young lass met some very interesting individuals whom all came from different walks of life and ended up at the same place. Once Sarina had settled in she trained hard mentally and physically in the danger room while furthering her education particularly in sports activities, Her first appearance in the danger room Sarina lost control of her power and ended up burning herself thus being sent to medical allowing another mutant Exilir to heal her small burns to improve his powers.
Even after this the danger room sessions were still the toughest in her mind as she often ended up burning her fellow mutants and more often than not setting of the fire sprinklers off to some people's amusement and frustration for others, Of course over the five years the fire maiden was there she would gain more control, understanding and better develop her powers showing great potential along with her hand to hand combat training, She picked up many friends and never let any kind of popularity get to her head. In her third year in the institute the school came under attack and was destroyed with many were injured, killed or captured by military forces, But in the panic many young children lost control of their powers that caused most of the devastation a bout week ago. Sarina only wished she could've helped them.
Notes - Sarina enjoys in her spare time ( out of classes.) performing fire and sparkle poi and fire hoop dancing or going to the gym to keep active because she enjoys it.
