@Lady Amalthea Done and noted, nothing exists unless mentioned.
@Lady Amalthea I just assumed it was busy and there were people everywhere.
Like the three nearest people not three people with them.
It is a popular casino right?

Aiden Shaw

Location: Lady Lucks

Aiden raised a hand to pause the proceeding ramblings of the rag-tag group while he eyed the couple. Slowly breathing out a long puff of smoke as he watched how they moved, how they looked at each other, how far they would wonder from one another, where they looked, what they looked at.
Mannerism, attire, body language. Aiden drank it all in as naturally as one breathes air.
A bet was no fun unless he was part of it.
It was no challenge if he left it all to luck.

"Right'o, you probably would scare him off, her too." He says with a teasing chuckle as he turns back to the group.
Counting through the scraps of his remaining cash, speaking from the corner of his mouth that didn't hold the cigaret Aiden humours the man as he thinks over his money.
"Say you get her alone. Then what?"
Aiden listens to the response.

"Forget the tenner guys, think you can match all this?" he asks holding out his hands cupping his cash.
"Ya each name a crazy yet fair challenge and if I meet just one of em, this gets doubled." He looks up to the strangers as he puffs his cigaret without the aid of his hands.
"Well guys? Unless you'd rather watch train wreck 'ere make a fool of himself.

Aiden was now going in all or nothing. If he was a greedy man he would have taken that cash to a card table and easily doubled it in a few short hours. But Aiden liked a challenge and the thrill of a new gamble. Here it was all on the line. It seemed it would be completely unpredictable and random, but nothing that people ever say or do is truly at random.

Dr. Jonathan Baynard

Location:Port of Tortuga

Threats and insults all around. It made Jon sick to his empty stomach. There was a child in play but still these men (and women) knew no bounds.
Still feeling sickly and weak, his mind raced as their words were thrown around him.
There was more than one party here he realised, noting the obvious only nearly too late.
And while he may not have the strength or skill to fight on par with these pirates, he would not go down without a fight. His mind was as sharp as their swords and his words could strike as fiercely as any weapon. But before he began Jon eyed the remaining forgotten, overlooked, un-oiled, underestimated slaves. It was but only for a moment but a moment was all he needed.

Knowing his ex-captain to be a proud a boastful man, Jon looked to Harlianne. He played the fool as that is what the situation demanded of him. Taking a deep breath and a long step forward Jon cleared his throat as he called all attention to himself."Sorry m'lady, but I just can't see how that's a profitable deal. You are a woman of a proud ship but your protection only invites more danger. For I don't see how you could stop my old captain an' his crew. I've seen em fight and they'd clean through you and us, then take it all for them selves." It wasn't hard for Jon to put on a face of serious concern. He didn't think it possible but stepping forth made him feel even sicker than before.

"Hell, you strike us first and the plentiful bounty is even easierly his with half the effort." A dramatic pause is left allowing others to come to the thought he is pretending to have. He speaks slowly with a sense of realisation.
"Unless that was your plan all along? Why risk the repercussions of an angry father with unlimited resources over a divided pittance when in the name of 'duty' you could earn a whole new ship and a dock full of gear just rearing to go..." Jon's eyes were wide as if he just realised that he spoke secret words out aloud. He shrunk back into himself and took a step back, removing the single focal point from the discussion.

He needn't beat any one, just remove certainty from their thoughts. He subtly set in their minds a dangerous consequence of attacking Miss Blackwood. He gave incentive for alternate actions while also sowing seeds of distrust. To top it all off and divert their focus elsewhere he questioned their strength, pitting their pride against one another, opening channels for them to further berate each other.
Haha, I hardly thinkThe Experimentis the kind to play a 'damsel in distress'.

We also just passed her in the bar.

Actually... Where is @Ashevelendar. Haven't seen a post in a while now.
You still with us?
Live a short life under a strict disciplined regime, boarding other vessels taking hostages and killing people so we could take their spices and woollens?

I got no problem taking her ship, I just think Ashe should be involved.
Maybe even on it.
Doesn't Alexis own the ship?
Anya doesn't reply to Lucca, instead she just rolls her eyes. "Where all looking for the girl on TV. Duh." she replies to Marco.
Next she decides to see how her friend on the other side was doing.

"Signal! I'm comin in fast, can you raise that bridge!?...

God dammit! Leave it to me, just keep trying ok, I'll sort out the mechanical issue, you take care of any override sensors. Oh and don't be standing on the city side when it goes up."

Anya prepared herself as they quickly approached the double-leaf bascule type bridge. Only moments ago she had been firing down upon it. She was sure the bodies would still be there.
Anya shuffled in her tight spot on the bike, kneeing Lucca in the back and nearly pushing Marco off. Then she brought herself to her feet. Now standing it took all her balance to stay on. Holding onto Lucca's shoulders she whispers in his ear as they line up to cross the bridge.
"Change of plans, keep it straight, very straight, exactly where it is."

Without looking at him, with her arse in his face, Anya swings her suitcase into Marco's lap.
"Hold this and keep the cover coming. They haven't given up yet!"

With a flick of her arm a blade appears in her hand. A sharp squeeze of it sees her hand fill with blood. As the bike tore across the bridge Anya noticed all sorts of people sprawled across it. There were bodies, moving and still. Sigint was alive and taking cover near the ledge.

It was then a stray bullet grazed Anya's shoulder. The impact nearly sent her off the bike. Twisting, she reached out for stability finding a handful of someone's hair.
Regaining her balance they had nearly crossed the bridge when she suddenly leapt off the speeding vehicle.

The blade shot from her hand, a trailing of rope following behind it. Anya jerked in the air as her momentum was suddenly diverted by the rope and dart, stuck in an upright. It put a heavy strain on both of Anya's tired arms as she swung sideways almost vertically. At the end of her swing she let go and hit the ground hard with a clumsy roll. She didn't have time for anything else. The AV was still surely still behind them. But she was at her target.

She couldn't un-gum up the motor, not in time, but she could free it from the burden of the chain. Thinking fast and moving even faster, Anya jams a small explosive into the links, she detonates it before she was even clear and is sent sprawling to the floor from the concussive force.

But it worked, the chain snapped and fell apart. With no tension it just fell off, freeing up all the other gears. They spun freely going nowhere, not on this side anyway. Now that the motors were spinning on this side they also spun on the other side. The bridge began to lift.

"East exit bridge!" Anya yells loudly from her her tight squishy spot in the middle of the bike. Marco behind her would of got a face full of hair as they took off. Anya suddenly didn't mind her position as a hail of bullets whizzed past them, narrowly missing the bike as Lucca narrowly avoided another car.
"Ráicleach!" She hisses clawing madly to get a good grip on Lucca to avoid falling off.
Her left arm and suitcase flung around from the side of the bike having no room to be anywhere else.
"It's two blocks to our left, don't crash and don't stay in a straight line!" Once again Anya had to yell to be heard over the roaring wind. As if to prove her point another spray of bullets hurled past them causing a car crash up ahead.

"Everyone alright!?" Vivian managed to ask in between violent fits of coughing. Choking on the dust, Vivian was a bit slower to react than the others.
"Rowlet, please clear this dust." The angry little Rowlet obliged.
As the Rowlet's flapping wings blew the screen of dust away it revealed a large proud Rhyhorn standing in the shattered cave entrance. Beside him was a young man with light strawberry blonde hair, wearing a simple black shirt and jeans combo with a leather band on his wrist.
Next out of the cave was a Metang followed by an older man wearing a tool belt and greasy mechanic overalls.

AJ took a deep breath of fresh air. He looked to the tattered tent and the girls standing by.
"What do we have here?" He asks loudly with a smirk, addressing them all. It was then he spotted Vivian and pieced it together.
"So this is my rescue party? Pff, as if I'd need assistance from the likes of you." His voice was full of condescending arrogance. He didn't realise just how much Vivian and her Pokemon had cleared.

"Look, I can't let you in here. These guys aren't the bad guys, they are simply freeing abused Pokemon, sending them to a better place. Sure every now and then a mistake is made but it's worth it in the greater picture. Besides, are we even sure they made a mistake. You told me that Vileplume worked the gardens. Pokemon are not meant to be slaves for our financial gain... Maybe this wasn't an accident. Maybe they knew exactly what they were doing." he said addressing Vivian.
The mechanic stood in silence nodding proudly in agreement.
