Current Smarty Jones... Just... Consider removing the 'Smarty' part of your name if you're going to try and kick up a side-argument here, there's no reason for that. Otherwise, let's just move on.

People don't tend to think about rules when in disputes. Instead, just point out that whoever stops arguing first gets to see the other make a fool of themselves if they going after it all stopped.

The best part about being on the Guild this long is that nowadays, I can sit back and chuckle as the newcomers try to start a fight an instead get all the old hands ganging up on them. Popcorn for me.

Got my first covid vaccination today. I was terrified, but the staff there were very well trained and things went well.

Every few minutes playing Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, I tear up from the memories. It's not often you get a game that truly pulls at the same heartstrings as your childhood playthrough's once did.

Bio

Name, Rank: Cyan McFarley, Sergeant

Psychological Assessment:
It has been observed that Cyan is quite socialable, and tends to converse as much as she can with colleges, and with civilians, on and off duty. She appears to show interest in any new culture or languages that she discovers. Some of her friends [NAMES DISCLOSED] have described this as a 'magical gift', however it has been discovered that it was simply because of her past. Cyan is described to be jokeful in-operation, however this is within normal operational standards and is not a problem. She has a light hate for insurrectionists, however facts indicate that her multi-lingual/multi-cultural mind finds reason with them. This does not, however, interfere with her career.

Medical Record and Evaluation: (biographical information, medical history and physical condition)
Caucasian woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, twenty six years old, and with a small scar just above her ankle. Born in Scotland on Earth.

Developed asthma at a young age, but grew out of it quickly. It is now completely gone.

Is known to weight lift and jog, and has a very high endurance.

Career Service Vitae: (civilian background and military service record)
Cyan was born in Scotland, on Earth, with family that moved a lot around Earth and even moved planets twice, once to Harvest, and then dropped back to Earth again. This required her to learn a variety of cultures and languages in order to be suited in her new location.

Joined the marines at nineteen, after completing primary and secondary school. Cyan received field-analyst training, which was granted to her because of her multi-lingual state and her ability to learn new languages and cultures at a fast rate.

Served several years, on the second of which she volunteered for the ODSTs, and the sixth of which she was promoted to her current rank, Sergeant. Currently in training for Delta-Seven operations. Recommended as a field-analyst and lingual-specialist.
Is this still open to new players? I'd like to join if possible.

It should still be open, yes.
We have a tight knit group of ranks here, so I may bump Cyan's rank up to sergeant.

Edit #1 -> Done it.
I'm glad that we have managed to swade you in the way of continuing. So, am I correct in presuming you are creating a race to be with us as well as controlling the advanced aliens in control of the planet?
Well, *Claps hands together*, that sorts out the heavy weapon problem.
Well, we need a leader, so probably a jack of all trades. Plus, I can easily have Cyan carry a BR55, filling the role of marksman. *Cough*
I cannot wait for this to start, though. I'm excited. ^_^ *Jumps around*
Interested to see how all of our characters react to eachother's views. A simpathizer point-man, a hateful medic, and a middle-road field analyst. Should be fun with no internal struggles at all!

Heh, I was actually going to make a really aggravating drill-sergeant like sergeant, if you managed to get a glimpse of my WIP CS. However, I changed it because I thought, it would be great to have a multi-lingual person. And I can't play rough people well. xD
I finished my CS. Woop!
"Captain," The communication officer says, spinning in her seat to face his superior. "The ship appears to be broadcasting it's own message. I've relayed it to analysis, who are attempting to decipher the language. It is unknown when, or even if, they can do it..."

As if to contradict every word the officer said, the captain's terminal beeped. Jennifer tapped it, and was met by the voice of one of the analysts. "Captain, we believe we have successfully managed to decipher the new race's language." At once, everyone turned to look at the screen which was broadcasting the audio, even though there was nobody there. Nobody was even trying to be discreet about it. They all wanted to know how it had been done so fast. "How on Lemea did you manage that?" Captain Jennifer asks, cocking her head.

"You see, we did some comparisons. We ran it through the textspeaker, in an attempt to see the spelling of their words, and it came up with words that looked horribly like that of a young child. We just had to swap one or two letters and bingo, we had a match for words." The analyst states. "We have a rough translation, stating that they wish to be friends. Or, something along those lines. Though, that theory seems to be proving itself. I see that they are not arming their weapons." Jennifer nodded to herself as she listened, and tapped her lips, thinking. "Can you work with Coms and try to come up with a message, in their language, using text."

The captain stands, and begins pacing. Nobody attempts to ask what she wanted the message to say, they simply waited for her orders. Finally, she spoke once more. "Ask them for a meeting, aboard the Lightbringer. I wish to see them personally, to discuss matters between us. Oh, and be sure to inform them of how we deciphered their language. They can probably reverse some of our own letters to get their words. And, if they accept the meeting, someone tell Lieutenant Ray that he is to be their escort on this ship, and his hand pick of two others to support him. They'll meet them in the main hangar bay." The hangar bay of the ship was a large space, able to accommodate a number of dropships and several bombers. As the fighters and some of the bombers were drone-operated, they could latch on the outer hull, leaving a lot more space inside the ship. "Tactical, you have the bridge. I need to write some notes in my office."
