The her fangs extended our of excitement. "I'll call him Nick." The snake stared at her in amusement. "Really~? Naming me after the governmant agent who was scared s%$#less~?" Copperhead shrugged. "Why not?" Then she held out her hand to Meridia. "Sargent Scarlet "Copperhead" Reign, snake super, at your service. And I guess your power is making me smell weird things." she said sarcastically.

Why do you think I haven't refereed to him by name.

Cause he doesn't have one. Most animals don't have an actual language(Theory that dolphins have more complex language than us), but they know the difference between individuals by smell and behavior.
