I say we outlaw bloodbending. Not only is it highly frowned upon by basically everyone in society, it's an immensely powerful, master-level technique that can only be performed by the most elite water benders under a full moon. In order to be performed in the day without the full moon, it requires one to be from a very specific bloodline (Yakone's bloodline), which (spoiler alert) completely died out with the death of Tarrlok and Noatak (assuming Yakone never had any other kids before he perished in the southern tundra).

@candlelitcraft

Do we want to have the antagonist to be someone Rosai knows? At the risk of spoiling season 3 of Korra (skip this paragraph if you don't want spoilers), we even have the option of the antagonist being a spirit instead of a regular bender, due to the portals at the North and South poles now being open. Perhaps a vengeful spirit seeking to close the portals?

Additionally, if you need someone to play the antagonist, I'd love to portray them.

Working on a post now!

EDIT: People keep disrupting me. I'm trying girl, I'm trying. Also trying to figure out if I wanna add in Sophie's partner yet.
Thanks!

I haven't gotten my grades back, but I'm confident I did well.
I think either a new Team Avatar or the White Lotus guardians sound amazing.
Hey, I'm gonna need about one more day on this. Sorry for the delays.

The ability to bend was something that was originally gifted to the residents of Lion Turtle villiages, however, the bending trait was passed down to only some of the descendants. It was from there that they refined bending from the totems, and the new generation of benders learned. I think.
@Regitnui@AllHollowsEve

I think Amon's version of bending removal was kinda like a substitute for the real technique. Kinda of like a Fire bender being able to redirect lightning, but not being able to actually produce their own lightning. Simulates the end result, but it's not the real deal.

As for technology, I believe that yes, they would be far more eco friendly. Would the Water Tribes be modernized by this point? In LoK, the most technologically advanced thing we saw in the Tribes were Unalaq's car and Varrick's ship. Would a sewage/piping system be in place for ease of access to water that doesn't take up as much space as waterways and aquaducts, as well as internal heating for houses? Or, perhaps would they have taken on a much more rural approach, as they are the two portals into the Spirit World. I feel like heating and transport systems would be the only real technological advancements made in the Tribes, as the Spirits definitely prefer the natural world to man's creations.
I'm still trying to decide that. With all of the unfortunate exams I've had, I haven't really been able to devote my time to this, but I should have something by tomorrow.
@CollectorOfMyst Ah, okay!

Yeah, you're right, taking away a person's bending is exclusive to the Avatar and Lion Turtles. As for Amon, I think he was physically blocking the part of the brain that could access one's bending, not actually taking away the spiritual connection.
@CollectorOfMyst Well, in the Avatar universe, Chi Blocking is a teachable art to any skilled athlete. It involves using precise jabs and attacks at various parts of the body to block a Chi and disable a bender's bending and any human's ability to move. Tai Lee was a Chi Blocker, and in LoK, many of Amon's followers are also Chi Blockers.

Is that what you were referring to?
