Westworth Colorado.
A small, unincorporated town of exactly 1,234 people, nestled in the foothills north of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood Metropolitan area, in Jefferson county, Westworth is home to… almost nothing, really. A grocery store, a small general store and combination gas station, a diner, a lumber mill, and a hangout spot complete with arcade games, pizza, billiards, and even a small 4-lane bowling alley (though the leftmost lane is almost always out of order). Most people that live there work out of town, have worked at the mill almost all their lives, or are in high school and work at the diner, the gas station, or the small general store.
It’s very much small town, USA. The people are a relatively close knit community overall, sure some people have issues with others, but for the most part matters like that are kept private. Everyone is civil in person, and there’s always the occasional city festival that draws everyone together.
There isn’t a lot given to do, so the kids of the town have to make shit to do: floating down the river to the lake, throwing rocks at tree, getting crossfaded and camping out in the middle of the woods, racing dirtbikes up and down the riverbanks and trying to build awesome motocross tracks, getting so drunk you can barely walk straight and trying to play hide and go seek in the dead of the night in the woods, firing off a few rounds of your father’s handgun at a tree… Truth be told, no one cares what you do, as long as you’re not disturbing the peace.
Cops? Please, the only cop here is an ancient sheriff that collects a monthly paycheck from the state and mostly relaxes in his home. You wanna ride your uninsured, unlicensed, not fully street legal ATV to school? Go for it, he doesn’t care, you don’t even have to wear helmets.
Nobody cares, do what you want.
You and your classmates are struggling to make it through your last two years of high school, juniors. Your class has been together as long as you can remember. Some of the kids started in the preschool at Westworth Unified School District. There are a few ‘newbies,’ but in a town like Westworth a newbie could be someone who joined the school like two years ago. Others are students that thought they might like a larger high school in Denver or something, but ended up coming back, after missing the tighter knit community of the tiny high school.
Your classmates, while not always your friends, are your teammates. You’ve been on stupid field trips with them, like in fifth grade, when you all went and stayed in a youth hostel, with everyone nestled close together, and then there was the time you went to a stupid ‘teambuilding camp’ in middle school and spent almost an entire week doing nothing but trust exercises with your classmates, but hey, at least you didn’t have to go to class for it.
Now, your class is mostly concerned with raising enough money to take a sweet senior trip; your parents always talk about how they went to Disneyland in California for theirs, or how they went on a road trip to NYC. Well, you’re gonna do ‘em one better.
The hard part is going to be making all the fucking cash...

It's Friday. The first day of winter break, the midterms are over: you're free, finally free. Today is the final football game, the Wolves are in the championships! After this show of school spirit and unity, tomorrow night is the Winter Ball. After that? Sweet, sweet freedom until after New Years. But keep your mind on the future! The junior class has to keep trying to make money and get ready to throw a prom, as well as planning their senior trip.

▹ There is no set posting order, but please give other people time to post.
That being said, sometimes there are long periods where no one posts. If you are inspired to post, by all means write.
