Seeing actual bushfire footage looks straight out of Hell... It moves so quickly and so powerfully, literally the trees just ignite. You firefighters are absolute legends, but please, don't die.

Welcome to my little personal den of Hell! Sorry, sorry, I meant my personal profile. Same thing, right?

I'm a roleplayer, same as any around here. I've been doing it for about five years now, coming up to six in September. Its been quite the time, thinking back. I started out fresh as can be, understanding the basics of writing but never quite knowing how to become better, or become as great as those around me. In the end, I did the only thing I really knew at the time:

Write as much garbage as possible and hope for the best!

As you can see, that particular tactic fucking failed.
Jokes aside, I like to think I've developed a lot over the years, both as a writer and as a person. However, absolutely nothing can dissuade my weeaboo ways and supporting my OTP with all that I can freaking muster! If you haven't already guessed, said OTP is Chrom x Robin (Chrobin) from Fire Emblem: Awakening. Highly recommend the game, there's a reason (other than nintendo's cheapskate attitude) that it hasn't dropped in price, it's honestly the best place to start off in the series. And hey, maybe you'll end up addicted like me and want to buy every game on the 3DS like a fucking loony?

Speaking of loonies, the Fire Emblem Chrobin Comic Dub Project has recently finished, so for those of you who also appreciate the best ship in existence, I highly recommend it. Hell, even if you're not interested in that, I do highly recommend watching it for those into fantasy love stories. The quality improves drastically with each episode, so trust me when I say by the end of it you should be thoroughly impressed. It has helped motivate me in ways I can hardly describe with words, and so I thought the least I could do was put this out there. Maybe it's not for everyone, but I know it was the perfect thing for me.

"Do you think you can tip any of the scales in here?"
"Chrom, for the love of Naga, I'm thinking..."

"So I heard."

"There are better places
to take a nap than
on the ground, you know."

(OOC note: that "Ah" down below is to detail the sound effect in the clip since I can't find it anywhere)

The slums were of little concern for Emile. Perhaps it was her noble upbringing and frightening lack of understanding for the world with her newly found amnesia, however she didn't feel afraid. In fact, it was almost natural to the young woman, almost as though she had been there many times before. She found she could guess what was around any particular corner with a high probability of success. Without any clear destination in mind, however, Emile finds herself wandering without any real destination, and once again becomes lost.

"Well... getting lost at a time like this really is annoying..." She groans softly, before correcting herself with a mere 'ahem', staring up at the night sky, stars glistening in her eyes like gemstones. "Well... at least the sky is still memorable..."

Ah.

A vivid flash crosses her vision, yet for but a fraction of a moment. A memory appears in her mind, however vague and misleading. It's but a simple canvas of a memory, herself staring out from a tower at a starry night sky. It's a beautiful scene - one of peace and serenity, and...

... danger?!

"What are you thinking? You know how easely you can get hurt in these parts?" Spoke a familiar voice, his hand resting on her shoulder. Emile spun around deftly, only to be greeted by a rather scary-looking Grian, much to her dismay."I-I-I, uhh, I-I mean I c-can explai-" When she saw his expression, she knew he wasn't having it. It reminds her of the feeling when she knew she was in trouble or she'd made someone mad. She doesn't like that feeling. It seems, however, Grian wanted to change topics quickly, and instead focus on the building where the fire once was. "Do you have any idea what happened here?" He asks her bluntly; she almost had half the wit to reply with a yes out of spite.

"I have no idea." Emile responds somewhat calmly. "It's weird, I asked around a bit but nobody seems to even be aware it happened... Kind of like my own predicament." She found herself unconsciously muttering that last part, still unsure of what her 'own predicament' actually was. Even so, fires disappearing wasn't something she was used to. If this was commonplace in this world, she knew she'd need to know why and how. "Maybe we should take a look inside to see if anything has happened...?"
@6slyboy6 Le scroll up foe mein exkuze :3
@Sigment Don't worry, I'll likely reply small too so it's no biggie :D should maybe have something up tomorrow.

"Now use flash!" Ren commanded with a sadistic-looking grin on her face. The electric-type didn't even hesitate as it quickly contracted and released it's muscles, creating a brilliant light. 'This should mask Houndour's ember and guarantee a hit. It might also give Shyn an edge to avoid that Tyrogue.' She concluded, sound but not without it's faults. A recall would likely be what the enemy was hoping for, but Ren already knew she was in an excellent position to change the tide of battle. She could choose how this played out.

"Type advantage means that Shyn can hold off against Horsea longer than you'd think. Even if we got it out of the way, however, our Pokemon would be knocked senseless from them both, the horse blasting you once you were in prime position and the fighter destroying Shyn's low defence. Therefore the only logical solution is to split this fight up a bit, at least for now. I can deal with a seahorse - if you can burn the punching bag, that'd be great."

Ren's strategy was simple: Shyn could take more hits from Horsea rather than Tyrogue. She predicted that Tyrogue and Horsea were attempting to lure them in to target a single Pokemon, so that the other could annihilate either Shyn or Houndour, depending on who was targeted. Either way, Ren and Lucian would be left at a disadvantage. Therefore, by splitting up the trainers and making the battles more singular, they could both deal more damage based on statistical analysis, typing, and even status affects. Houndour would be given a small advantage against Tyrogue due to Intimidate's effect and burning. Shyn would then have an advantage against Horsea due to type match-up, though would require Houndour for support, as Tyrogue would likely assist Horsea.

And of course, Ren had an idea which could exponentially increase their odds, though it may not be liked by any of the trainers present. Either way, this would be an experienced battle.
Where mah homies at? :D
@PlatinumSkink A bit exhausted after this afternoon, both physically and mentally :P I'm gonna sleep before I get any worse; will have a reply up tomorrow!
