Current Remember, nobody actually enjoys roleplaying if there isn't at least five shameful fetishes uncovered by the 2nd page.

Somebody stole my mood ring. I don't know how to feel about it.

Let's be honest, it's far more satisfying and challenging to actually imagine what a character looks like than paste a hundred gifs of a celebrity and call it good.

So, a team of players who are good at playing as a team in a team-based game are individually bad players. Seems kind of silly when you put it like that, no?

My goal these days is to have an RP that can actually finish, or the very least, last a few years. I see way too many die on page one to take chances

@DJAtomikaYou're lucky, I was just lacing up my shitkickin' boots. Fallen's a softie.

But seriously, don't worry. Takes a lot for me to even think about kicking somebody from a game, especially for entire non-issues like missing a post in an exploding OOC, like Fallen pointed out. :P

I'm going to wait for Warden to reply before doing a Tonka reply to give him a chance to get something in. Just a friendly reminder for everyone, while the enthusiasm is fantastic, let's give everyone a chance to get a reply in if they're in a scene with your characters. I don't want this to become stressful for people who feel like they have to constantly play catch-up.
"Her tech has done much worse, at least it was mild this time. And it didn't explode in anyone's face either. Though before we all start chewing each other out, let's at least know what to call each other. My name is Vellios Malkai, my companion with the exploding droids is Serena Mathews."

"It would be a dull life if we didn't blow shit up from time to time. Tanya Carson." She replied, offering a hand to Vellios and Serena in turn. She watched impassively as Serena tried to explain her fuck-up to the sour-looking asari, probably wishing she didn't have to do that song and dance too many times before the day was through. At least her sense of humour was intact; it counted for a lot when living in the cramped confines of a ship. A joke here and there could help defuse some otherwise tense situations, such as blowing up the cargo hold in the first hour of disembarking.

Resting bitchface asari continuing on, Vellios, Serena, and Tanya were left to their devices. Tanya returned to her work station, gesturing for Shithead to come to her. Her omni-tool sprang to life as she began the data transfer from Shithead's surveillance of the buggy. She'd send the drone to take a look at the small skid steer next. As she began to review the data, she called out to the others. "So, what's your story? You two seem to know each other, which is more than the rest of us can say. What made you decide to respond to sketchy classified postings you probably saw on some bathroom stall somewhere?"

I'd love to, but when your laptop takes like 20 seconds to load a page on hospital internet, little shit like that takes a backseat to hoping lag doesn't make you accidentally delete or overwrite huge swaths of everything else.

When I get discharged, I plan on doing the house cleaning busywork.

@Dervish Maybe the first ooc post should be updated with current information?

Ho-hum.
@gcold Haven't quite got that far yet. We'll get back to you.

I wasn't able to locate it when I last looked, but I think pier 7?
Hank and I are chugging along slowly with our collab. It'll hopefully be ready before too long!
I'll post in vase anyone wants to talk in the kitchen over a drink or two. Not everyone needs to go to Omega, right?

Sure, we'll dump you all off on a moon while we do our thing and come back for you. ;D

A quick and largely irrelevant note about the Extranet, it isn't instantaneous like it is in the games for most civilians. It works by sending priority information packets through relay buoys across the galaxy, where emergency military and government stuff takes priority and can do things like real time streaming, whereas basically everyone else has to buy packets of various speeds. This means depending on what you pay for, your packet can take hours, days, or even weeks to go through.

So basically, how I imagine things being set up, a user subscribes to whatever sites or services they're interested in, the most updated information gets sent to them, and any activity they do is sent back out in the next packet. It won't make a huge difference, but it may put a serious damper in your porn browsing in space.

Stuff like emails I imagine can work like a local area network and go real time.

Either way, odd bit of trivia I thought I'd share.

This is how I picture Mirage.
Sorry for not making a post yet, been rather busy with family stuff but will try to make a post today
